1. Plane suffered a mechanical failure, pilots managed to land it on water however due to damage it quickly drowned to the bottom of the ocean. The plane didn't leave debris behind or minimal debris is floating somewhere and we haven't found it yet

A plane of that size will never "quickly" drown... in any case it will take at least 30 minutes. Enough for at least some of the passengers to get out.

It definitely is a mystery. The 777 is a massive plane, not something that simply disappears. So far it seems the terrorism link is extremely unlikely, they were focusing the past 3 days on the wrong reason. The whole terrorism hysteria since the past decade makes people assume terrorism is always the highest possibility.

Personally i see the following scenarios:

1. Plane suffered a mechanical failure, pilots managed to land it on water however due to damage it quickly drowned to the bottom of the ocean. The plane didn't leave debris behind or minimal debris is floating somewhere and we haven't found it yet

2. The plane suffered a major failure that caused instant fire that consumed the passengers and the plane, the plane could've possibility completely disintegrated before reaching the ocean.

3. The plane crashed into the ocean or even land, however we just don't know the exact location yet and we're looking in the wrong places.

4. Plane was shot down by military accidentally, cover up is in the process. There seems to be some radar speculation for this theory where unidentified aircraft where flying close by appearing and then disappearing.

I don't buy the hijack scenario and it actually landed in an abandoned airport, with the number of spy satellites we now have it's possible to zoom in all abandoned airports and scan for the plane.

It would have to be a pretty long runway to land a 777.

The pilot probably landed it in the ocean and later towed it to some mangrove forest.

The plane was last tracked near North Sumatra. North Sumatra is heavily forested, with abundant coastal mangroves.

How would that even be possible. That would mean it left in the right direction, a few hours later pulled a U-turn and then flew back over where they originally took off from.

I don't know, but I think its retarded that a 777 could vanish in thin air.

My guess is that the plane is sitting on a tarmac somewhere at an abandoned airport. Seems weird that no one has claimed responsibility yet though. As for the cell phones, whoever hijacked the plane is probably jamming the cell signals with some kind of cell blocker.  If thats not it...

I bet North Korea has one long enough. Its also within flying distance for the 777.

Aliens eh.

I'd bet against that but with my luck I'd probably lose. The jet would turn up at Area 51 with a bunch of triangle-head shaped green guys drinking Budweiser and watching Youtube.

What, no one could think of putting a small GPS locator thingie on it? That's the size of a computer mouse or something.

What about GPS pings from passenger cell phones Huh .... they are all on right now. Something doesn't add up.

Yeah I heard the some of the passengers phones when called were ringing. If the plane was at the bottom of the ocean I assume coverage would be one bar maximum. lol.

Its fucked up,

This story is getting weirder and weirder by the minute. Now it seems that the plane turned off all of its recording devices and turned back home. Not only that the Malaysian military knew this all along.

Maybe they shot it out of the sky.  Huh
