They have put that big penalty so that they can protect Manny, and for sure Anpo will have that in mind because it might take all his purse and then some. The money could come from his manager or from himself.

We don't know what the numbers are for this fight, but being Manny Pacquiao, he could have made millions for this fight and the Japanese demands for this kind of exhibition fights are huge. But as far as betting goes, I don't know, but I will probably skip this fight. And just like the rest of you, might be better to just enjoy and watch Manny and who knows, maybe him and Floyd next or Barrios for the belt.

If the penalty is there to protect Manny, then what referee is for there? Cheesy I dont think Anpo is so stupid to throw leg strikes in a boxing fight, I dont he is a total low IQ to throw several of them, and referee is just a decoration and wont pause a fight after first leg strike or even an attempt. Imho they did it to attract attention. For audience to be super emotional with "Ooooohhhhhh..." if or when this will be announced before start fight.

To protect Manny from un intentional used of kicks and elbows in which Anpo is used to. The referee can't just simply in their face or even if he did then Anpo being a MMA fighter can kick Manny so fast that he can't stop it from happening.

We will never know, against it's the instinct but with the huge fined, he will probably think twice. Sometimes fighters can't control themselves in the ring, we have seen them even attacking the referee.

Yeah, probably they did it for the hype, but I don't think it is needed because Manny is already an attraction where ever he go.

odds here : https://fightodds.io/fights/manny-pacquiao-vs-rukiya-anpo-55091/odds
But Pacman is -1000, are you gonna risk some money on that odds? I find this fight is easily won by Pacman based on the odds, so if there are other market, that would exciting to bet than just betting on the moneyline alone.

I would not take the risk with this kind of odds as i'm not betting for the underdog here. ML odds for Pacman is not attractive so i think i'm going to pass on this fight.

$5 million penalty for violation, that's a huge money, but the question is, can Rukiya Anpo be able to pay that fine if they violated?

BTW, I'm just curious, what is the total purse given for both fighters on this fight? Because the fine is huge, it might be bigger than the fine, right?

To be honest, i don't know the purse that both fighters will receive but definitely it would not surpass the $5 million that they put as a penalty for Anpo if his violated boxing rules. The fine is huge so that Anpo would not make any idiotic move that will hurt Manny.

LOL, if I am Rukiya I'd be better training myself in control than to train myself how to box properly and put strength on it. Being a kickboxer, it's hard to maintain himself without throwing some kicks.
I think he can do that. We have seen UFC fighters, fighting in boxing rules, and they did not violate the rules of the game, and they did not lose their control by taking down their opponents or applying a choke. Cheesy
I hope that he'll also able to control himself. I think it's different with those UFC fighters than someone who kickbox but for sure he'll be able to obey the rules.

Although this is an exhibition match and these set of rules can be just a way to play the minds of the fans and get more ticket sales.
I think they can get good sales based on Pacquiao's reputation alone. Of course, the fight will be held in Japan, so Anpo should also have a pull on the sales since it's his fan base.
Yeah, as long as Pacquiao is going to fight.

The fans are going to hurry buy those tickets just to see him. There are still a lot of people that wishes to see him in person and they won't waste that opportunity.

I'm sure Manny can pay if he ends up being penalized; not sure about his opponent, though, as he was just a replacement, which means he’s not really the popular fighter originally set to fight Manny. But hopefully, nothing will happen to stop the fight. They should just play by the rules and entertain the crowd.

I’m not sure if I’m betting either, but the odds from a certain site indicate Manny’s real chance of winning this fight, so we wouldn’t be surprised if this one is just another easy win for him. For my personal satisfaction, I want to see a KO win. What about you?

I thought this fight had already happened, so I checked YouTube but didn't find any videos of this. lol It turns out the fight is scheduled for July 28. Are any bookies offering bets on this Manny Pacquiao's fight, eventhough this is just an exhibition match? I think Pacquiao is still the favorite to win this match, despite his age.

What's the latest update on this fight? Will this exhibition match happen as planned, or will it be like the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson situation, where Paul ended up fighting someone else. lol

Pacquiao is probably winning. After all, this is a boxing match. Pacquiao is the boxer. Rukiya is a kickboxer. It's not easy to transition from one sport to another. But this is merely an exhibition match so it really doesn't matter who wins and who loses. The result won't reflect in their professional records anyway.

It seems this fight will push through. It's already a few days before this match takes place. I'm not that excited though. Not betting on this fight either. I'm not even sure if bookmakers have released odds for this match.

Manny is already in Japan together with his family for this fight so this is a go. Though i'm not excited of this exhibition fight of Manny but i want to see if he still has it, i mean i want to if he still got the moves to defeat a legit boxer because this fight is the gauge of whether he will fight Mario Barrios next or not, defending on his performance.

Not many crypto based sports bookies are going to list this fight unfortunately. Anyhow, this is just a exhibition fight so I guess not everyone might want to bet on it although there is some news that Manny might fight Barrios so that will be a different story.

So far it is still a go for both fighters, Manny is in the gym so obviously he is still in the best shape of his life. Same with Rukiya, although he really have to be aware of the boxing rules and not used his feet or knees or elbows against Pacquiao otherwise he will pay a big fine.

Only 4 days before the fight and Rizin has imposed this new rule
Quote
RIZIN has imposed a $5,000,000 fine to ensure rules are followed in former K-1 champion Rukiya Anpo's bout against boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
Rukiya Anpo will be fined $5 Million if he attempts to throw a leg kick in this fight

So Rukiya better practice controlling himself into throwing a kick when he clashes with Pacquiao. He may be tempted to do so out of habit. Since this is straight boxing, with which Anpo is not totally familiar, Manny has a huge advantage going into the fight, and I expect Manny to knock out Anpo because kickboxers usually have poor defense.

Still, whenever Manny Pacquiao is about to have a match whether it is a showmatch or not, people flock there just to see him fight again. So, Rukiya better be serious on this and not to disappoint Manny.

When it comes to exhibition such as this then it would really be understandable or something that you would really be able to tell on who would be the one will really be having that advantage or upperhand.
A boxer with boxing rules and the other opponent is really that came from other sports on which neither MMA or someone that do make use of kicks and other limbs on which it would really be that
hard to adjust on the time or moment that you would really be fighting insider the ring with different rules on which you arent get used to. If there would really be some fine that will really be posted up
then Anpo would really be needing up to be careful on making up those mistakes and this one would really be definitely be put up into his mind. $5M fine isnt a joke amount that he would really be needing to pay up
just in case.  Grin

Few days left until this fight would happen. Im not saying that its just that too pity for Anpo on fighting a boxing legend. lol. I dont know if Manny Pacquiao would really be
letting this fight to finish until the end or would really be knowing him out on Round 1?

^^ It's good that this kind of stipulation is included, for the safety of Manny of course. And we have seen videos of Manny really training hard, or at least trying to get into shape in this fight because there were news that he might go and fight in pro against against one of the weakest champion at 147 lbs which is Mario Barrios.

So this is just a stepping stone for him, and again, probably gauging himself if he can still pull the trigger although we all know that if he goes up in pro rank again, it will be very different as Barrios is very young. Hopefully Anpo is not going to derail any plans of Manny next.

They were just using Suzuki for his popularity and then switching fighters when ticket sales were done.  Grin Seem a common practise already in MMA and boxing.
any evidence supporting this claim? the article Questat shared said that Chihiro Suzuki suffered injury, hence the reason why he couldn't fight and it is why he is being replaced by Rukiya Anpo. also, last week Chihiro Suzuki had a fight against Takanori Gomi which is where he got his injury(at least according to this Instagram post).

Probably this is just his hunch and then the sarcasm in the end. Perhaps he was also referring to the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson and then Mike getting replaced by another boxer. It's just coincidence though, both boxers, Mike Tyson and Suzuki just to happen to be injured or have health issues that's why the fight didn't push through. Even pro boxers as well get injured before the fight and this should be common to happen specially that they have been pushing it hard during training and unavoidable.

So this is not true in my opinion, specially waiting for the tickets sales to closed before replacing that fighter.

But for accolades for sure people would remember that Chihiro once defeated a Legendary Pacman if he successfully defeat the legend on their upcoming exhibition match.

Why are we still bringing up the name of Chihiro when he cannot fight anymore due to injury, the thread title has already been updated and the new opponent of Pacman is Rukiya Anpo, still a Japanese but probably less popular than the injured Chihiro Suzuki.

Manny Pacquiao will now face a different fighter in his three-round exhibition match in Japan after the retired boxing great’s original opponent was ruled out by injury, organisers said Friday.
