Hi, been testing the demo for a few days now, how do i make it faster in it's dynamic updating when using the MM bot?

It often gets stuck on a buy or sell and doesn't move for a few hours.

Great software, it's got most things i imagined when i started coding a bot in basic to quickly test strategies on historic data.

It's a fascinating programming problem and you're solving it very well IMHO.

Cheers, Gary.

Hi Gary,

could you send us the logs and a screen shot to [email protected]?
And what do you mean by 'stuck'? There are parameters on the left panel to configure your bot's behavior.

All the best,

Bitcoin is antisemitic
Speaking of the BB strategy, anyone can address me to a guide to its parameters?
Now I'm using it just with different timeframes for each market with default settings.

I restarted recently using leonArdo and I'm delighted by the new BB strategy.  Grin

I recommend to the devs to have a look to this article for a new very promising strategy:

Seeking Alpha always has great, mind bending systems. Usually difficult to implement but this one appears simpler. In fact, I say that if you are a serious crypto investor/speculator do yourself a favor and take the time to read some of the recent articles regarding Metcalfe's Law and bitcoin/crypto. Here's just one: https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-11-28/bitcoins-valuation-using-metcalfes-law

Same here with HitBTC. Had flat lines twice yesterday with one pair LTC/USDT. Had to stop it and go to bed.

Again weird stuff Wink

Running leonArdo-linux-3.7.8-b12101308 on HitBTC with only one pair (xrp/btc) open and only one margin maker on it:

After a few days, leonArdo popped up asking me if i want to cancel the open order like as if i clicked stop on the bot.
Well .. i did not.

Today, after i opened a second pair and margin maker yesterday evening ... i had the same thing again.

Sadly, the bot stopped to work at all at some point in the night.... on top of that, i have a "flat line" in the chart for some time...

I now updated to leonArdo-linux-3.7.8-b12118297 and the flatline still remains .... well, it's again up and running and i will watch out if that happens again....

Btw, i'm running it on a ubuntu Artful Ardvark (17.10) install where it is not able to connect to the local xserver .. which i did not want anyways because i run it using the xserver on my main workstation (via DISPLAY=.. variable Wink).

I'm actually trying to hack some wrapper for the wrapper for leonardo together, to A: have it restarting automatically after a crash and B: have an easy way to run it with strace........ well ..... good things need time. Wink

Does leonArdo run as normal desktop app in Raspberry or do i need to access it using VNC?

It should run as normal desktop app yes.

VNC is often used to have the Raspberry running as "headless server" Wink

I remember you had a Kraken banners mentioning it would be added soon.Any news on this?

It was developed and shelved because of the trading engine issues over there. Kraken recently upgraded their trading engine and seems to be much more stable now. Should be released soon after some testing. I asked last week.

What's your best trading pair guyz ? I'm on bittrex.

As for now i've set my bot on XRP, XLM, XVG, XEM, SC, ADA. They are all "big boyz" and moving up/down dayli.

I had alot of trade on XRP and XLM. A lil less on the others. I'm using mArgin, 20% in/out and 2.5hrs candles. Any idea on better settings for that too ?

OK on OSX, sometimes when I stop a bot to tweak it LeonArdo quits unexpectedly having to reload. is this a known issue?

I think this may be the aspect of the display Jonathan is referring to.

"(process:4051): GLib-ERROR **: Creating pipes for GWakeup: Too many open files"

This is an OS error, the strace may show that.

Sadly, i don't have a strace from _that_ run......  I suspect that more to be a problem with the bittrex api or something else gone wrong.

Dunno...

But will have a look on that as son as i can get to it. Wink

Heh, interesting idea but .. i don't think so:

Code:
questron|hackbyte|18:06:05|~/opt/leonArdo-linux-3.7.8-b12118297| 0> cat ~/bin/remotex
#!/bin/bash
DISPLAY=fornax:0 $*
questron|hackbyte|20:33:15|~/opt/leonArdo-linux-3.7.8-b12118297| 0>

It's just a simpe wrapper so i don't need to write the display= part everytime Wink

P.s.: I will send you a strace from a try to run leonardo local with DISPLAY=:0 on the ubuntu 17.10 install via email. Wink

+1 for this idea, in fact it could be done for every OS leonArdo runs in. For Windows and Linux, it would be a notification icon showing events from the "completed orders" section (the checkmark one). It would be good for those of us who use leonArdo in a desktop computer (as opposed to remote server/RaspPI).

Going further, other alerts could be configured too: for instance, price alerts, for those who use leonArdo for manual trading.

I got a UI request for OSX. Just like the telegram app or other apps that post on the icons on the dock a number informing unseen messages, Leonardo could do the same with completed transactions

We are working on desktop notifications Smiley

Will look into this suggestion too.

Best wishes,
Jonathan
