Its not cool to see coins start being re-developed after being abandoned just because cryptocoins are booming now...what you already showed was that you abandoned the project and trying to make some quick money. Better to invest in coins developers are passionate about and never abandoned.

Have you been on another planet or something? You obviously did not do any research or read about this project. Just a piece of advice, dump your BTC, it is in a takeover state ever since satoshi left.  Cheesy

Tough call, I'm easy. A marketplace won't be used anytime soon realistically, but it does lend legitimacy toward the ultimate purpose of the coin. I'd say more wallets with easy installers for various operating systems is a higher priority as I'd think they would legitimately be used. The pot crowd isn't the tech crowd, so make it easy for them to get involved on whatever system they're comfortable with....that's my opinion anyways. Most important thing is to always be doing something, anything, that's what inspires investor confidence.

Sad but true I guess.

I discussed this exact subject with my co-dev last week. We are working on a "How to" page for about everything Marijuanacoin related:
How does a blockchain work
What is staking/mining
How to use multisend/blocksplit (video tuts)
How to send/recieve coins
etc.

This is already being worked on slowly in the background.

Good call about the wallet OS versions. But I still have some small gui changes I want to push through before I contact someone to compile a MAC wallet.

The name of coin is very interesting and i think at least it is preferable for name Smiley I wish success for developers. More bounty campaigns will be helpful for introduce the coin Cheesy

We don't have a premine or ICO funds to fund the bounty campaigns. This will change once we have our "foundation" page on the platform. We hope to gather some donations there to fund promotional campaigns.
Current donation counter:

I'd love to see the exchange and the staking pool before the shop / marketplace on the roadmap.

Honestly, there are a lot of marketplaces in the cryptospace, none of them really successful - maybe a handful have some success and they're mostly bitcoin.  Altcoins have an even worse success rate.  The nature of both the crypto user and the drug user don't fair well went it comes to the checkout on a sales site.  Enter your home address and phone number in this box kind of questions.

IMO most people in the space right now love to mine, stake, and trade coins but not use them so much.  I see marketplaces (for any coin) as something successful in the future when cryptocurrencies are more widely known by the general public.

The last developer also had the seed shop and marketplace before things like a mobile wallet, etc. on the roadmap.  I had a conversation expressing that I thought he should reverse that.  He wanted to do the seedshop.  Like a seedshop was going to take MAR to 1 million dollar marketcap.  IMO running an online store is a lot of work dealing with customers, delivery, and complaints.  When the dev is bogged down with dealing with customers, when is the development going to happen?  There are only so many hours in a day.

I would rather see all the tech stuff finished first and then all the other physical stuff.  poswallet.com is really popular.  They're basically doing what you plan to do at the end of the roadmap.  Go to their website and look at the stats at the bottom of the page.  People want to stake and trade!

Like I said before, the dev can take the coin in any direction he chooses, but I think a store / marketplace should be secondary "after the tech and services" which will appeal to the holders and investors who want to see a strong foundation.  Strong tech foundation = more investors.

I'd like to hear some more opinions on this. I'm ok with changing the order of the coming developments.
The only reason I wanted a shop and marketplace first, is because that is the easiest thing to write for me. The other 2 projects take more time obviously.

We try to deliver something new, or an update on a project at least once every 3-4 weeks.

So where are we now on our takeover:

TAKEOVER TODO LIST
-Register new domains
-Create a quick landingpage on temporary domain
-Create a new blockchain explorer
-Build a basis for our web platform
-Design a new fancy OP (Growing our account first)
-Inform Coinmarketcap (After basis webplatform release, domain will change)
-Update core with new checkpoint/alert keys
-Inform Cryptopia (After core update) - PENDING: Waiting on Cryptopia update confirmation

As you can see the list is (almost) complete! It's time to move forward with the new development proposal/roadmap. Cool

great thing
I think they are well on schedule!

Just heads up. Title Bar still displays old Ver #

Thanks for noticing that! I have no idea why the old dev has put that there tbh. It's not a standard thing really.
https://github.com/marijuanacoin-official/marijuanacoin/blob/master/src/qt/bitcoingui.cpp#L89

I will change this when I get back home later today.

If you guys have any other suggestions to put into the resources menu bar, please let me know.

Glad to know that the Dev is dedicated to this project, with roadmap and potential future utility.

I live in a weed legal state so this could be especially useful for me.

I will be monitoring and periodically investing in this project

Thank you for the support!

Market cap has risen a lot in recent days!
Unfortunately nobody wants to sell his coins  Embarrassed
Thus, the volume which was traded was relatively low  Undecided

There was a trading bot on MAR before. So it was hard to see any real volume in between the automated trades. It looks like the bot is off now.

You know, I did this takeover with the possibility of 0 community interest in the project's revival. But the way I see it, we did receive some attention from people. This thread has over 4000 views, and the markets reacted on the takeover.

We are only in the 3rd week of the takeover. Rome was not built in 3 weeks either right? I can only say things look better now, than before the takeover. Stay patient and let us do our thing. Our time will come! We have a good roadmap ahead of us, and I'm dedicated as f... to bring this coin to new all time highs! (get it?  Cool)

good luck, if you  are Europe based and start selling those autoflowering, all-female seeds for MAR, I would be buying. :-)

Yes, I also believe that the market for accessories and seeds is great.
Also, I think a single currency would make sense in this business!
Would be a huge opportunity for MAR!
The question is how the Dev builds the shop. Does it ship itself or can sellers set your own goods and buy shoppers directly at these?

A short reminder where we once we're, and where we will rocket beyond once we are a bit further in the development plan.
