if it says "0" connections does that mean its not working ?

For windows users. Just start maxcoind and start a command prompt by typing cmd to the start console. Then navigate to the directory where u put the maxcoind.exe file. ( to navigate in cmd use cd .. thats put u up 1 directory, then use dir command and find ur .exe file) then type maxcoind.exe setgenerate true numerofcoresurprocessorhave then ur mining. TADA!!

Azure users with zero connections - I think it's something to do with setting up endpoints in the Azure management portal.  By default only port 22 (ssh) is allowed through.  Any ideas ?

If I shut down my computer, will the VM keep running on the cloud, or do I need to leave the physical comp connected?
I think you can use something called "Screen" to keep it running after you disconnect. I'm not sure how it works. I tried it but when I reconnected my miner had stopped so I must've done something wrong. For example, I don't know if you have to launch the miner before or after you run the "Screen" command.

Keep getting:
error: incorrect rpcuser or rpcpassword (authorization failed)

after entering a random username and password combo.

How can I remedy this?

[1] - I've got a Mac client that's not doing anything - can't even find a blocksource,

[2] - I've got a Windows client that's not doing anything - nothing on screen (although debug.log shows it trying to connect to peers and being disconnected. I've added the new peers that were tweeted minutes ago)

[3] - I've got a Linux cloud server that's not doing anything - can't connect to the pool

Maybe these things just need a while to propagate. I've never been in on a mining operation at groundlevel before Smiley

what is the port? I am getting zero connections

+1 !!!

How is it possible it's working for someone and doesn't for rest of us?
I'm on Azure.

I am on Azure too. The port must be blocked. Can we use a proxy?
