dave is a millionaire, let's leave it at that. but i truly think that it's time to no longer give anymore money or btc to his enterprise due to what he's trying to do.

It's certainly starting to look and feel that way Sad Don't get me wrong; I'm happy with my October orders, their customer service is awesome, and was really looking forward to purchasing more full rigs, but disappointed about this recent turn with pricing.

 It's insulting Sad

TBH i think it's time to not support buzzdave anymore at all. his efforts seem to be focued on the mine (which is of course competition to his retail sales in many ways... higher hashrate)

If you already have a v1/v2 M-board and are willing and able to overvolt/overclock to 38GH/card, secure the H-cards from wobbling, and tune the speed settings... Bitfury H-cards at $749 (0.85 BTC at the moment) is currently a better deal than even an overclocked (205GH) Antminer at 4.25 BTC because MBP will deliver about 5 days earlier. In addition, Bitfury uses half as much power.

i encounter lots of stability issues past 35GHash. Never more than a few days before i need to tune the voltage down a notch or rewrite a bad SD card it seems. If bitfury was as simple to use as an antminer, the choice would be obvious, but i only plan for 33-36GHash per card, and based on that an antminer makes more sense if you dont want to invest $7500 in MBP

these don't sell as well as his first offering. at these prices it's a slap in the face to his established clients. sad.

with btc trending back towards $1000, its a little less terrible, but i agree. the focus should be on rewarding existing customers and nurturing distrobution of the hashrate. these cards likely cost about $150-250 for bitfury to fabricate and assemble, and its not a secret that dave has been re-routing all the newly produced hardware to the 72 100 200 400 450? Terrahash mine. last i saw, something like 13,000 H-boards are in use there, paid for largely by the profit on only 2 sales batches

note: bitfury is still a great product, but they are deviating from where they began in the exact same fashion as asicminer has. By the time they offload the h-cards for cheap, it will only be because they have designed a 28nm specifically for the private mine. I just wish early customers and supporters could be given a fair price that is easily capable of turning a profit, rather than being a 50/50 chance that it will arive in time to do so

CCNA: There i fixed the internet.
To use the hashing cards you have to have the m-board and raspi set right? Otherwise the H boards are useless?

Yes, you need an M board.  Perhaps Dave will have them for sale again soon.

The 10 v1.2 H-cards I bought Monday night shipped today from WA.

as in yesterday? i bought one on the 8th and have heard nothing other than an e-mail confirming purchase.

Paid with bitcoin Mon 6:45pm PT, got "Ready To Ship" email from MBP Tue 7:36am PT, got tracking email from FedEx Tue 9:00am PT.

My experiences dealing with MBP have been very positive. If you're concerned about your order, just email them at [email protected] and you'll probably get a fast reply.

+1

That is the way things MUST be done. Glad to see people getting reliable shipping.

Yvonne usually answer emails on the same business day.

I posted in the MBP US thread, but ill put it here as well so its seen.:

I intend to buy a few cards for my own unit, but cannot justify the purchase of 10 using fiat (not enough btc right now) without totally unbalancing my financial portfolio.

If anyone wants to go in on some V1.2 cards with me, I can offer local trade in toronto, or ship within canada using Xpresspost (2-3 days for dirt cheap). I want 3-5 boards and am in conversation with another toronto resident who wants 3-5 boards as well. This leaves a few spots open to anyone looking for 2-4 boards. PM me if interested. If reshipping is needed, i expect it to be around $15-$30.

DAVE: are the boards available right now? Ive seen conflicting info regarding immediate availability verses 'the factory has quick turnover' which indicates they are not in stock.
         ~~~also, thanks for giving me store credit for my 2.25BTC, but since you converted to USD at $900/BTC rate, the bitcoin value has climbed above $1000 on gox and $960 on BTC-e, roughly a $220 difference from the store credit. hopefully this punctuates the need to set shop prices in BTC rather than in fiat. If boards are available, ill order immediately and would appreciate if you cant adjust the given store credit
