An idea for the bot:
It will be possible for users to make a post with a command, asking the bot to make a post when the fees are at a certain value. When the bot read the post, it would save this information, and when the fees reached that value, it would make a post normally, but added a mention to the user who requested that post. Regardless of the posts that the bot normally makes.

Yes, this is possible. This might be a good ideia. I just need some time to code it.

Would you use something like that?

The bot could just quote someone who asks for this when the user subscribe to the service.

@joker_josue , I just added your API so now feebuddy will use Talkimg to host the chart!

I don't know what is going on but look at these transactions. https://mempool.space/tx/d8ec0d3b0f7f964396fc74c550d6cc7e17a4514ceeeaf5ef04dece8531ab5d38

All these are the same;

there are hundreds of similar transactions in the same block and more similar transactions are waiting in unmined blocks.

Look at these unusual bumpings. All are the same amount and thousands of them are in unmined blocks. The transaction amount is only few satoshis.

I think it is important as people will see fees going up an down. Each image has about 10kb, so 40kb per day.

Friend! The kb size is no problem!  Wink

I just don't see big movements on the chart, due to its scale.
Unless you can tell the time on the graph. But it seems small to me for so much information.

Hey guys, I am working in a new endpoint for FeeBuddy

What do you think about this? I am open for suggestions

Seems like a good idea.

Now, will the bot post this in all its updates? Maybe once a day is enough, since the graph shows data from the last 3 days.

Doesn't load on mobile for some reason, or at least, loads slowly. Can you compress it some more?

all good so far. just think about all the stuff people may want to look back on in this topic in say 2 years where they might want to know some mempool observation stats from 2024..

more data the better, you never know what can be relevant/useful later

Code:
[img]https://bitcoindata.science/bot/chart.php[/img]

This is still a work in progress. I am using data from mempool.space API, real time.

FeeBuddy would post it and save it to talkimg.

<…> Where can we find statistics on how many Ordinals were moved? Do you know of any viable sources on the subject?
There are a bunch of Dashboards on Dune that analyse Ordinals data. My Dashboard there (which I've just updated to the most current available data), for example, sets today’s insofar Ordinal TXs to be 280.075 (out of 367.726 total bitcoin blockchain TXs). That’s a 76,2% ratio, though the data for today is yet partial.

This information will help, for something I have in mind.
But for me, the number of Ordinals per day, or per block, was enough. So I'm going to explore your data. Thanks.

THIS IS F*** UP! Something needs to be done! Do you want for Bitcoin to have Nokia's fate?
Almost everyone is saying, you know, the best solution is to wait! Juts postpone your transaction! Use litecoin! Use Binance pay. Use paypal!! Grin
Yep, something needs to be done, and as I said in another thread the fix may be released with v27.0 will eliminate the spam token transactions from the network but its still not 100% true, so if we don't eliminate them in someway then we will see these token attacks all over and over with different project names and people may actually choose other coins just because it doesn't make sense to pay 10-40 dollar in fee of a transaction which is less than 200bytes.

Yesterday the ratio was 73,2%, whilst the day before It was 30.1%, being "that low" for quite a set of preceding days.

The above data derived from the tab labelled "Weight of Ordinals per day (blocksize)", and focusing on the right hand side last 4 columns (you may need to scroll).

ordpool.space gives you a visual per block vision, but does not aggregate data, and actually takes ages to fully paint a block’s ordinal related TXs.
