It was merely a short increase in fees which was caused by some activity in Runes. But it didn't take a very long time before the demand for block space went down again. Plus the increased demand/activity look like it's more efficient for Runes and BRC-20s, no? Or does "efficiency" truly matter in which protocol, Runes or BRC-20, was used? The only thing that actually matters is the demand for block space?

The fees are surging again, but there has not been any surge of expectations nor increase in interest in Ordinals or Runes. Although, RSIC•GENESIS•RUNE is going through a "small surge", which could indicate other "small surges" in other Rune tokens and it's causing a rise in on-chain fees?
