EDIT: Thank you for correcting your oversight, but now it appears it was not encrypted using my public key as I am unable to decrypt it. Shocked

I used my own public key for the send and receive addresses  Cheesy, I’ll edit the post later with a message encrypted for your own.

Hey Ognasty!

I did not try the PGP and ecrypted messages but yes you brought a challenge and I will give it my try. I will come back to edit this post if I successfully do it after learning about it. If I fail to learn and encrypt it, I will delete this post Smiley

I obviously don't need merit but this is how you guys do it:

The thread is about sending encrypted messages, not signed messages.  Preferably, I would like the message to remain private as an encrypted message should be (see example in OP).  It also displays a higher level of understanding as they must import my public key and not just sign a message with their own.  For unencrypted signed messages, I would still prefer to use Bitcoin signatures on this forum.

EDIT: Thank you for correcting your oversight, but now it appears it was not encrypted using my public key as I am unable to decrypt it. Shocked
EDIT2: You got it fixed!  Merit sent.

Your signature might be different from mine, You're probably not going to have GNU/Linux or SHA1 in your message but it's still a valid signed message.

late edit: oops, I mistakenly sent a signed message, but what the heck, I'll get an encrypted message example ready too. Better learn how to do both of them.

Hey Bitcoiners! Can You Send Encrypted Messages?

I want to give you the opportunity to earn some merit by using your encryption skills. There is a great guide linked below showing you how to send an encrypted message. If you can encrypt a message containing your bitcointalk username using my PGP key, post it here and I will send you merit as time allows (if it works and I have available sMerit). Enjoy!

NOTE: If your post history is full of bounty applications or your account is loaded with negative trust or any other reason I feel like, I will not reward you with merit.
