The merit system don't work this way as you could have more and more merits by making good posts here and it's on you whether you send merit or not but who said if you send more you will gain more? But it's opposite you can send more if you gain more.That is pretty simple.

The newbies and all members need to make their personal efforts to rank up on the forum and contribute on their part and rest they will gain merits if they make up some worthy posts from high rank members.


This is not merit giveaway thread as we have some more as indicated by @CharlesTim so why will members share their profile here? Members who have smerits can open up a thread to help the newbies and low rank members in the way they like but you don't have any so what's the benefit of sharing profiles here?

You have also gained 3 merits but you have not given to anyone on the forum contrary to what you have mentioned in title of the thread so what are you going to explain to all other members here.You are making this thread with the hope of earning merit but this won't help you mate so start making good posts which will help you more.

I start to smile a lot when I see another OP topic. After all, he argued and taught how to behave correctly on the forum, being an older member.



And what do we see in the end? Our most famous person is engaged in begging while applying his strange philosophy everywhere.
OP, if it comforts you, I will give you merit. But do not flatter yourself that you "shared" or "donated"  me your knowledge and experience.

Honestly, you make me laugh with my morning coffee.

Simply because the OP was hoping to earn merit with this post, and so far he has already earned one.

I'm sick of seeing it: newbies or junior members like him who has 100 activity and so far only 2 earned merits, creating a thread about the merit system because somehow they know that creating a post about merits is likely to end up getting them some.

Did you know some threads are dedicated to merit given, but to posts that are worthy of merit.

[Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank

Sorry about this, since 2016, only 2 merits received before this thread. Are you commanding the merit source? Do not create a thread of what you are not capable of, if you are not capable of sending merit to newbies, then why creating this thread when there are some already existing.

Everyone certainly think that each of their posts is useful, but from the point of view of others (with higher knowledge) think it's nothing special. There are also people who have a great sense of humor, who assume constructive posts are posts that are entertaining rather than helpful. That's why, giving merit is subjective and seems unfair to some people. At this point you have to stop assuming that merit is the only benchmark that a member have contributed, you don't mean you're useless because you haven't got it.

To be honest, I kind of shy away from getting into the discussion about merit that has been tedious and boring to think about. This time I'm breaking again, to tell you not to lower your contribution just because you didn't get it. What the forum needs is your contribution, not your achievements.

This is a good idea mate so that our newbies to members, got a chance to Rank up faster cause nowadays it's hard to get merits.
But we must think that sMerits are given by those members who contributed well in the community and quality poster in forum.
[NOT ALL] but Some newbies here did not do anything good in the forum all they do is copy some text to the internet and paste it here without citing the source.

It's really not anyone's job to "motivate" new members. Like, we're not their mom. If merits are the sole reason for them to cooperate here on Bitcointalk, then they're likely bound to fail in the first place.

Not to mention that it really isn't hard to get merits in the first place. You just need to make decent(not necessarily super good) posts.

I think merit sources know this don't worry mate cause they are specifically giving merits constantly to users that deserved it. Merits shouldn't keep and hoard. Giving merits is also part of the ecosystem here in forum for quality posters and helpful guys. Newbies thinking how hard it is normal but they should go outside the box to fulfill their activity here and be given merits too. Thumbs up for bringing it a good statement.

 Anyway no need to share your link below. Giving you merit for your good assessment.

As we know only way to have more merits is to give it away.

To motivate new members we have to concentrate more on newbies to member's.

Their maybe certain questions you come up with.

1) Why? I earned it in hard way.
In respect of it, to get more better first you have to leave current situation ( Right way is to support where reqired to achieve satisfaction )

2) Merits are valuable, I can't give it away to unknown?
First you should know, you are getting in return things you can't see or think, you will never get it while dealing with known. People giveaway their whole wealth in search of it and you're getting it through merits I don't think this is not a smart deal?
