I think, info that myetherwallet is a big lie. MEW already confirmed it.
I see there is a new token that BLUE is the first to make a statement that myetherwallet has been hacked. Their DNS was hacked. but what happens is there is a phishing site where the letter capital "i" in "myetherwallet". if not observant, then I'm sure our account also hit. that's why we are so important to bookmark important sites where we place our private key. not only Ethereum wallet but also our Bitcoin wallet

God protects the protected God. If you doubt something, do not do it. Find something else. There are many duplicate phishing sites that read your information and use it.

Huh damnit i wanted to sell my vibe tokens, but to afraid to log in...  Angry

How can i know if its safe. Can a page be exactly the same as a phising site? I bookmarked it  half a year ago. Can a bookmarked site allways be trusted or what?
If you've bookmarked it half a year ago then it is the same link as it was half year ago  Roll Eyes
You are being too much paranoid.
Use hardware wallet and you won't ask this kind of question ever again.

yes i reckon that but im not really sure how dns hacks work. If mew site is hacked does that mean official mew is ofline or that u get redirected and cannot visit official website?? How exactly that works with dns hack??

Yes, this wallet is still reliable. But you must now be very careful before you enter your private key. Be sure to check whether the correct site you opened, look at the address, it should be: https://www.myetherwallet.com. And only after you make sure that you have opened a real wallet - then you can enter your personal information.

Well, from the little information I have gathered, mew is safe to use. Just bookmark the official site and visit that only. As read, the informant about the attack of mew use a wrong mew site. If you still doubt it then consider not logging in You may also take mew advice that you use mist or metamask and log in to mew. SOURCE: READ THIS

if the site is not something that smells criminalism I think it is still trustworthy or we can go in with no such phishing problem because at this time there is no such problem repeating itself! and hopefully still safe for the future!

To protect yourself as much as possible, use the offline version of the wallet, and conduct all transactions through the offline version, only use a computer that is not connected to the network

Just fud as mentioned above. Bookmark mew and only use the bookmark.
If you really want piece of mind go with a hardware wallet.

MEW hack was a fud they have conformed this on their twitter.

https://twitter.com/myetherwallet?lang=en

Ok. Nice to hear that, I initially thought that it real FUD coming from the other camp. But I prefer to be safe and not login until the dust has been settled. Although I almost got a heart attack checking my wallet when all my funds went to 0. But it was just a technical glitch on their end. Nothing for me to worry.

Hi,
in order to prevent any DNS phishing, install your own local copy of MyEtherWallet. Here's how-to instructions: https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/offline/running-myetherwallet-locally.html And in Russian: https://bitcoinfox.ru/mew-myetherwallet-local.html

Ok. Thanks. Will also take a look at later.

Let me quote another member here who shared another method as well.

Best way to use MEW is Local version of it. Anyone can download it from github repo and use it instead of using it on from myetherwallet.com

https://github.com/kvhnuke/etherwallet/releases/tag/v3.11.2

So just be careful guys. We don't want to lose all our Ethereum and tokens. Take all precautionary measures.

Better yet, head over to its GitHub repository, download it and use it locally. That way, you can be sure that you're using correct MEW.
