There is no minimum amount of capital to be able to start on trading. We can always start on a low capital and then it will always depends on how you can make it grow on trading. For newbies, I think an amount of at least $100 is a good start, there are a lot of dumped coins now in the market with a potential to gain high value in the future, just always research first on the coin before buying it.

I think to start trading at least at least you have a balance of $ 100 and I think it's already a bishop with altcoin trading and for beginners it is very profitable because you can learn, if you are an expert then you can make additional capital.

I was wondering what's minimum / ideal amount of BTC or ETH I should have in order to start trading activity

If you have any idea or just want to share your first experience in crypto trading, feel free to write them bolow
For me $400 is enough because not all the beginner in trading is learning immediately so all the people who are just newbie in trading world they need to start to with a very small amount and when they now learn how to trade very well they can spend how much money they want.

Lesser than $400 can be better for me just like $30 for the small start is good. We can't gamble at risk to begin trading, and if learning buy and sell at a good coins can be promising with trading fast moving cryptocurrency. All we need is patience and determinations in order to survive with the trading scenario.

There is no minimum amouy of coin for you to start trading in trading you can start what you can afford to lose, do not trade all your money so that if you lose you still have money for your financial needs.

Yes you are right, you can always invest a huge amount any time you are interested because the prices are depending on the demand and supply and it can always pump's up anytime as long as the people are interested to hoard a huge amount of coins.

I would always recommend big ammount investment only for scalping but this remain to be so dangerous if not doing enough researches about the coin subject of investment. The majority of traders are beginners or has experience in Forex trading (which is completely different from crypto trade) so it will be reasonnable to always not putting all the eggs in the one box.

For trading it is not necessary that you have a coin but you have the parties who are ready to sell coins you must have the detail of them so whenever some one ask about crypto buying you should contact with the seller of particular coin. But if you have many coins then trading can be done through other crypto.

we are talking about trading a crypto here and if you dont have a coin (crypto ) how can you possibly do trades ? you need to have a coin in you and it doesnt matter whatever coin it is or how much do you have . as long as you have a balance inside your crypto wallet , you can always make a trade .

but if we are talking about general trading or trading in general , then a coin or a crypto is not realy necesarily needed because we can still do  trade using any other things .

You can go to the crypto market with 100$, only the profit will be small. To enter the crypto-currency market, as to enter the Forex market, it is necessary to be savvy, to study the market beforehand.
Yeah study the market you have to do so that you have the knowledge and understanding of the market that you will use to trade,
for the amount of capital will certainly depend on your financial ability mate, use capital according to you can afford to lose

I started with like $20 just to try. Trading isnt my main job and I tried to trade just for fun. Now I have smth about $90. Made a few good orders with new coins on Binance. I'm tracking my coins with auxiliary site https://coinsharbor.com to see my balance and not doing 2FA on Binance daily.
Starting with a little money to learn experience then grow stronger when qualified enough is the right thing to do and I have done it in the past. I advise new investors not to invest too much at the beginning because they need a lot of experience to succeed and much money can not teach you.

starting small money is little bit good because in that way if you go wrong with your trading you dont loss big money.
If for training it is good suggestion, hope OP not really curious so he not try with big money, because if my opinion, trading activity is about experience and not really depends on capital for first time.

In my opinion the use of minimum capital investment may start at 0.1btc. When entering the cryptocurrency market as a new investor we should look for the lessons learned before actually investing in this market. 0.1 btc is not too big but it's enough for you to make margin on bitmex, altcoins-btc trading with 0.1btc will have faster liquidity. It is easy for newbies if we do not have a thorough calculation in each transaction. 0.1BTC is also my lucky number. Wish you luck with every decision you make

0.1btc might be not too big for you but it might be so big amount for others. This thread is actually need to be locked as it is clear that the answer is basically depend on the trader on how much they have to start. Something related to money that will be used to do something is subjective question. We should not suggest "how much", but better to recommend "as you can afford".

This question should be answered by you because you know what you can afford to invest. If anyone advise you to invest $300 then you have the ability to invest $500. Its advisable to follow your mind with the amount you want to invest.

The minimum coin we can trade, I think we depend on conditions as well as dependency on the trading situation that we can trade at multiple levels as well as different minimum prices.
