Mining on Mobile Phone is real, but it's only waste of time, because mobile phone is not designed for such loads.
I also do not think that mining with mobile phone is a good idea, because we know you need some things to make it really work

Mining thru mobile can easily bring your mobile a small lifespan of living. I would never suggest or i will not do that ,and for sure ,it has only very little profit to a provide new phone if it get damage,.yes ,the idea is interested but mobile mining is not a great idea.

Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?

Is imposible righ now, even electroneum have said they would do it for the Q1 of 2018, but they have been telling that since september.
And even thought the algorith is not big of calculations in time it will burn the cellphone. In this year perhaps will be the best way to burn a cellphone

Today the POW of altercoins is base mailnly on:
CPU performance (few coin)
GPU memory speed (most)
Mining is also a 24x24x7 continuos work
It is impossible to compete with a Pc cpu or a GPU for a smartphone at hardware level.
The power ratio is 1/10 for cpu and worst for Gpu
Some one shold invent a new POW that equilize this hardware difference.
For example using a sensor related to mobile device...
You may gain coin during gym or run ... a more green coin.

And what will be your income if you compare them with the power of simple personal computers? I don't think soo much. If you are talking about POW coins, this is a crap advise. Mining POS coins can be more help in this. And then I do not believe in this idea

It is not possible to mine any crypto through mobile right now because of high mining difficulty of almost all coin and if there will be some new coin out there in future, than it will be not worth to mine because mining difficulty for it can increase insanely high in no time.

Some cloud mining platform are developing mobile apps for their service but that can't be referred as mobile mining.

Thanks for the comment. One of the reasonable explanations I came across for this thread. Smartphone mining? Come on! It's like asking whether I can code with a smartphone, or not. Can you write codes? I think you can't even use tablets for that! And now mining? Come on!

It seems to me that this is just a waste of time. I think that mobile Phones not designed for mining. Those projects promising profit mining with mobile phones are just scamming people.

How would mining on mobile phone really be possible? Hardware speaking it is impossible. If anyone promise you a fantastic mining experience on your mobile, you should know instantly that you are been scammed whether you agree or not. They may mine for you and send the minng reward to your mobile screen UI that doesn't mean it's your mobile phone that is mining!

For example Electroneum is developing a mobile miner which is already in beta.
But this mobile miner isn't using your hardware to mine - it's just simulated mining so your hardware isn't fully occupied the whole time and dies within a short amount of time.
The hashrate/reward is scaled up as you wouldn't get anything if you'd do actual mining.

Thats the problem. You can put your important mobile phone in dangerous because the phone will be over heat.
I dont think this is good ide. With small reward i will not put my phone in dangerous.

Nope because phones are not designed to mine altcoins it will short the lifespan of the device. As we all know that mobile device tends to overheat when it is used in gamings and now you will use it for mining. I wouldn't be surprise if the device would explode because cellphone device is not designed to run 24 hrs a day.

Not going to work efficiently and effectively. Mobiles are limited in processing power and energy.  Your fone would crash.

Scrypt can be optimized for low memory, high frequency calculations which is why you get hashrates in the billions. A cellphone could never keep up with that. So bitcoin, litecoin, etc are out of the question.

Grow with the flow.

I think mobile devices are not built for these kind of complex tasks. However, Electroneum is doing a great job at being interesting enough to make me use the mobile miner. Not that it would net me some substantial profits but it is just for fun.

For me it seems impossible to mine in the smartphone might be damage your phone. It's pretty good on the PC because the PC specs are great for its hardware so it's better to PC and there are plenty of scams in mining that is legitimate.
what do you mean by calling scammers legitimate? I think that fraud in any case has no legal basis.

To my knowledge, bitcoin mining can only be done using a computer and an internet network. Looking at your topic, is there another way to do bitcoin mining?

No, I think it is less effective and less profitable. But if there is an app that offers mining in mobile phones that can provide the equivalent of mining on a computer I would definitely give it a try.

The idea is great. Nearly everybody has a smartphone, probably more than the PC user. Furthermore it is difficult for 'normal' people to mine BTC/eTH etc. You really need much of technology understanding to mine effectively. Mobile mining will appeal to a large target group.
