Tytus, Nvidia Rigs getting popular more and more... how about pushing this feature / version?!  Grin

Try this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/os-nvoc-easy-to-use-linux-nvidia-mining-1854250  It is still in early stages, but Fullzero is committed to making Nvidia more accessible for miners.  He was the person I purchased my first mining rig from and has been outstanding with helping me learn through the last 6 months.

I learned everything I know the exact same way. I plan to teach a younger person the same exact way. The gift of knowledge is an awesome one. The guy I learned from watched me do just about everything wrong you could do wrong, super tolerant. When I started the process, I was a Windows baby, now, I'm a WhoBuntu.

I am having troubles getting smOS to apply varying overclocking settings to individual GPUs in a rig. The rig in question has 7 cards, and 6 cards can run all day and night with the memory overclocked to 2200, but one card (GPU1) can only handle 2025. I tried using several variations of the following entry for the memory overclocking settings:

2200, 2025, 2200, 2200, 2200, 2200, 2200

but it always ends up applying 2200 to all cards. I have tried the string of entries both with commas  and without commas, and I have also tried entering "2200, 2025, 2200" with the understanding that the last number would be applied to the remaining cards, but nothing works.

I tried searching the thread to see if anyone else has dealt with his problem, but the thread is simply to voluminous at this point. I also know that others have been able to get this functionality to work because others have posted screenshots of their smOS dashboard that shows varying OC settings for individual cards in a rig.

If it makes a difference, I am running the beta kernel and AMD driver. However, I had the same problem before I upgraded the kernel and driver.
is there a space between 2200,SPACE2025 ?

Yes, there are spaces between the numbers. In fact, the string of memory clock settings in my original post is copied and pasted from the last time I tried implement individual memory overclock settings.

I've mentioned it before but I was told I wasn't clicking the radio box.
The issue is if I see claymore 8.1 custom and 9 custom I expect each custom config to be separate not the same. I expect them to be saved separately like in a separate directory. Since you probably store the executables in separate directories why aren't the configs shared separately? Otherwise, it makes no sense to me. Since there are new features in one version I might want to experiment with different settings.
For example, sometimes claymore comes out with new coins. I might want to save a config for one coin, but be able to revert back to another coin.
As far as saving them in a notepad. Of course I can.  But it took me a few times of the software overwriting my configs for me to realize that it was the way the software was written. It wasn't me doing something wrong.
Its on my todo list. Right now there is one config variable in data base per user, not per miner program+user.

Thats becasue it is ONE config so when you are switching miner you need to retype.
Propably it would be nice to keep history for each miner separatly i guess.

You gotta go a better job of saving my custom configs.  BUGGY system which loses my damn custom config. I lose it once or twice a week at least.

Has nothing to do with the radio button. I shouldn't have to click the radio button to change a config and save settings so that when I want to use those settings in the future I have them available. I should be able to save the custom config in advance.

Also I should be able to save a different custom claymore config for version 9 than 8.1. I think it'd be smart if we saved a lot more. I have at least 10 or 12 different claymore configs saved in Windows.

I keep a running Word document with my login links and custom configs for various miners, along with my notes concerning each configuration. While it may not be the most eloquent solution, it works very well, and it's not a bad idea to keep a backup of settings regardless of whether smOS eventually introduces a way to store the setting in the dashboard.

T - Looking good!
When do you plan to launch the new GUI for web?
Anything that we need to update or change at miner end?
Do you plan to beta test this first before launching?
Btw....
1. Need to have some where in the GUI to global update of insert failover pools into the "epools.txt" and "dpools.txt" of Claymore miners. Currently, no failover update option unless to edit the files directly into the Claymore folder.... but need to do for each rig which will take long time to do. Recently, there was a 4 hour downtime at Nicehash and luckily I caught the downtime by chance and had to manually change pools.
2. Is there a way to set current IP address to fixed IP?
Thanks!

Still i am rebuilding my functions inside dashboard. But i think 7-14 days ( i will have easter holiday so it slows down a little)
Those changes are only on server and www dashboard side. There is no changes on rigs (at least not in this phase).
1. This epools.txt can be done pretty easy and i will accually do this in near time.
2. Static ip isnt an option right now an i am not planning doing it soon.

I'd rather see new features than a pretty dashboard.
Yes you are right about features. But i am not doing "nice looking stuff" - there is also server and functions on dashboard which will make more easy to implement new features.
Thats why i want to finish it and THEN start making new features Smiley
Now it will be alot quicker for implement new things. Also user experience will be totally different (MUCH quicker and almost in 99% cases there wont be any whole page reloads becasue i am migrating to jQuery Ajax requests.
The grouping function also was pain in the ass but with new rebuilded system it will be easier for me.

my ethereum address had "0x" in front but when i input it in Ethereum address wallet [on Web UI setting] it goes away.

D905F5AA0eA0ffed9F9779Ae3ba7455cD2011369
will that be okay? sorry new to Ethereum.
Those wallet fields are cutting of 0x becasue some pools need wallet without it.
so if you want to have it with 0x then i guess 0x$walletETH should be used in options line.
Anyway i want to hide those fields or make it more informative for users.
There are some parts that dont have informatios but i am planning to change it and to do much more (i) signs which will tell you what is this option for.

Yesterday I successfully launched 10 GPU on the asus Z270-P on SMOS with 2 1->3 PCIe,
But the power supply was burned - test results will be a little later
Thats nice ! or on the other hand not Tongue
What PUS did you had ? My Corsair shuts down when too much powe is taken from it.

Nobody neve reported any problem regarding options.
It just one globall option so when you are changing miner you jsut need to click radio button.
It newer worked bod in my case and nobody told me that it has bugs.
In near future right after grouping rig option there will also be "options history list"

What do you mean loses your custom config?  At random or are you switching things around?

Yes it would be nice if we could save config settings, but a simple notepad with your configs was all it took once I identified this feature was not implemented yet.
