What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
When they add new coins, how would the investment part of the site works? Do we have like one investment option that will be purely bitcoin and all losses and winnings will be taken care of there via some exchanging or will there be option of investing with other currencies? That would make a ton of difference in investment, people are sick of waiting for their altcoins to worth something (unfortunately almost all are down) but at the same time they want to make some money with it.

So, having the option to invest altcoins would give everyone some reason to invest those altcoins and make money with it compared to them just hodling it for years now. However if its just bitcoin than I suppose whales could still fund it very easily without any problem to casino anyway.

This is answered in their FAQ somewhere, if you invest XRP you are entitled for winnings made of players using XRP in the site.

For example if the pool has 9,000 XRP and you invest 1,000 XRP, you'll be sharing 10% of the winnings/lose made by other players who play with XRP.

I've also seen this list of altcoins, but I wonder if it's too old and outdated.
Since every asset requires backing from the community (users "locking" an amount of coins and share the MintDice's winnings/loses), it'd be too hard to keep all of these coins in a healthy status.

Also I don't see why would we need so many different assets. BTC/XRP/ETH and maybe 1 or 2 more AT MOST would be fine.

I dunno whether this has been discussed before in the thread. Are there plans to add more coin support in the casino like doge,ETH, LTC? Or it will just be a casino that deals with only Bitcoin?

If we are looking at the FAQ page "Games General" and the sub topic about minimum bet, we can see there are many listed altcoins http://prntscr.com/oxycot so I think it is just a matter of time until Mintdice add those altcoins. Give them some more time to improve and add more features, meanwhile they should work on many other things to boost the traffic. I'm waiting for more promotions/giveaways/challenges or any other things to attract people to come and play so we will see many active users there.

Thanks for your comment, Bitinity. You are spot on. We plan to offer many altcoins, it has just been lower priority. We will first rollout many Bitcore coins (effectively Bitcoin forks) and then work on integration with others such as Ethereum.
As Bitinity screenshot(http://prntscr.com/oxycot) I saw the list that possible altcoins to be added and there are 14 altcoins on the list. It is possible that all of them can be used to deposit? Or just picking four of them just like ETH, DOGE, and LTC as what most likely gambling site use. Looking forward to the great innovation of your gambling platform and I'm excited to know what promotions will have come soon.

A P2P transfer was made to your account, not a BTC deposit. Those are two different things treated differently.
...
Thanks for the answer, I get it. I really did not see the difference between P2P transfer and BTC deposit.
I still have a question: When outputting BTC, the SegWit address for output was not accepted. Was it a mistake or is it so?

They are different because with P2P transfers we don't view that as a net benefit to the website (our value as a company did not increase). Regarding SegWit addresses, we are fairly certain that they are not accepted right now. We plan to install such things later on.

Yeah right, it's only a matter  time until mintdice adds more coins. What's more mintdice is a new site, so they have to develop gradually while analyzing  deficiencies in every development they make.

Surely there will be more promotions / giveaway in future after they are really very ready with all features their site. And I'm sure at that time more gamblers would be interested.

Now about the withdrawals... I wish the approval process would be a lot quicker  Wink
It's quite fast actually. I thought they would process my withdrawal "within 24 hours" as stated, however actually they did it within 1-2 hours. Moreover, with a small "economy" fee, my transaction was confirmed within 64 minutes.

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/6a95b56be08a58b0a5211e8339718cd39506b76c274a24108e21ba132ddcb79e

Just a bit suggestion @MintDice, kindly use blockchair.com on the "history" tab. Respect for Blockchain.com has long gone IMO.

It is good to know that even if they are using small fee per byte based on your transaction posted, it still went smooth. But their economy fee for withdrawal is 20k sats, so a lot of those satoshis go to their operation side? Just wondering about how they have fix tx fee and where it goes?

20,000 Sat is a very reasonable fee and it is very less when i compare it with other sites. Most sites charge 50K as withdrawal charges. 0.0002 btc equals to 2$. It may be high in terms in term of  usd but we do not need to withdraw the amount on daily basis and use withdrawal only when we need  money for some purpose other than gambling.
You could have idiots who will do like 1k satoshi withdrawal fee and will wait for days and they will complain about how their transaction was very slow, that is the risk these places take when putting on manual withdrawal process.

You can have maybe 3 option styles and that would be easier, my metamask has that for example and even though its always fast because it is erc20 token after all not bitcoin it still uses that 3 option system, fast/normal/slow and they put up signs like "fast takes about 1-10 minutes", or "normal takes 10-30 minutes" or "slow takes 1-4 hours" and such so when a person is doing any sort of transaction there they know how long they should wait. That three option is the max amount of power you can give to the people without them actually doing something stupid.

its possible to have a 1k or lower withdrawal fees but this wont mean that the transaction will process for a day or two   . on some sites that i play they only have about 0.00004 sats fee and sometimes lower than this if the value of bitcoin is not really that high  . it will then take 1 to two hours and longest will be 4 to 5 hours if the btc network is really congested or have a verry high traffic  .  anyway , the 20k sats that mintdice currently have is still okay as long as the transaction will process quickly maybe less than 30 minutes  .

@mosprognoz, LMAO welcome to the club Grin

Yeah, someone asked that a while ago @JeromeTash.

What other cryptocurrencies does MintDice allow except bitcoin?
You can find the relevant information here.

We accept deposits in the following cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ripple, Dogecoin, Monero, Dash, PIVX, Blocknet, NEO, Decred, LUX and ZCoin.

New casinos usually accept multiple cryptocurrencies these days. Pretty sure they are working on it (CMIIW).

It says only try again on another time  Huh
Would be great to see a message like " you can claim the faucet in x minutes again" or somthink like that XD

Yes, I agree with that. I guess it is every hour or so. But I did encounter that when I tried to claim not even an hour gap from my previous claim as I ran out of satoshis.

The extremely mentally ill bitcointalk account yahoo62278 believes that anyone dealing with game-protect is at a high risk of losing money, even though we are since 3,5 years active with over 500 online casino scam reports received and no one ever lost money while dealing with game-protect! Cheesy

Dude, why did you post a negative comment on my trust page? For supporting a well deserved scammers flag in your profile? You have clear signs of paranoid schizophrenia. Go and visit your doctor before it's not too late you fucking idiot.

I also think about that matter at first. However, the majority of reputable exchanges use 50k sats as withdrawal fee. https://withdrawalfees.com/coins/bitcoin

With that in mind, 20k sats feel acceptable (for me), and I received the payment in a relatively short time. So, I have nothing to complain about. Also, they already lower the fees by 50%, thus asking about company's finance sounds not appropriate.

Yes 20K is actually very cheap these days. I use alot of Bitcoin Services and most places charge at least 40K+ sats. And most of the time when you actually look at the withdraw transaction, its pretty close to the amount that was charged for the withdraw fee.

A manual tx fee is not always a good idea. I think Bitmex is one exchange that lets you set your own withdraw fee and its great however you need to becareful. Reason why is because you have no idea how many inputs your transaction will have. It can have 1 input so it will have a higher sat/byte fee or it can have many inputs and your transcation will have a very low sat/byte fee and might not get confirmed until the slow weekend sometime. Hence why its always better to pay a higher fee than a lower fee.

So i was exploring some parts of your casino website.
I really fell in love with the Emergency Address part: https://mintdice.com/faq/account/security/what-is-the-emergency-address

It really shows that you have got the back of your customers. As you know, No system is perfect.

Now about the withdrawals... I wish the approval process would be a lot quicker  Wink

Actually this is not some new parts that they offer but yes I do agree about this because it is a little bit old but actually perfect things. Nowadays I only see some site that offering this but still it is pretty useful for players. And about the withdrawals, I think within 24 hours payment is still make sense anyway because from the start I never expect any site able to give a fast withdrawal as well so my standard is 24 hours and if th3 process goes more than 24 hourse then I will just ask their support about it though so it is not a really big deal

Thanks for the comment. The fee is pegged to the bitcore software and it is supposed to cover a combination of incoming deposits, outgoing withdrawals and spam prevention. It may change again in the future but we are pretty happy where it is now. You might not have been following this thread since the beginning, but we already dropped the fees 75% since we opened Smiley
