Manual process eats time which causes people to wait when the traffic on mint dice increases. If there ia already an automated system developed why not give it a try it?
Ah, I still remember how Nicehash hacked, pretty much because of automated payment. Since manual payment would be way more secure, I don't think they should spend too much time tweaking their payment system at the moment.

There are many other more important things that they should fix, e.g., random error 404, optimizing games, etc.

I guess its not manual too because there are different price structure based on how fast people want to withdraw so if there is any manual process then how it should be possible.

Maybe manual process for huge amount of unrecognized withdrawal.

We are actually doing everything manually for security. The automated system was already developed a long time ago. We're just not using it to be safe for the time being Smiley

Since MintDiceSara already said that it was developed a long time ago, they have already given it a try for sure. They probably know the pros and cons of using manual and automated processes but they still chose manual for now probably not just because of safety, probably something else too. There's nothing wrong with that though, as long as you could withdraw.

Do you want to get hired and do it for them? Kidding  Cheesy

I think its a very smart move to list a lot of different altcoins. The majority of crypto holders dont hold BTC but usually a lot of different altcoins. Giving those people the chance to deposit coins they already have instead of forcing them to switch those coins to BTC definitly lowers the boarding hurdle for new customers.

With an outrageous Bitcoin dominance of 70%, I wouldn't say that "the majority of crypto holders hold BTC".
But supporting a few altcoins shouldn't be much trouble I believe, so if it doesn't cost them anything it's a welcome "good-to-have" feature.
Dont forget that the vast majority of crypto holders is very new to this market and probably bought their first coins during the altcoin frenzy to "get rich quick". BTC has a dominance of 70% in regards to market cap, this doesnt tell us anything how many people hold BTC Smiley

I have an issue with the reCaptcha on mintdice.com

When I want to login it shows "RECAPTCHA REQUIRES JSON AND IS IMPROPERLY FORMED AND IS REQUIRED"

When I want to send recovery email the wheel will turn for minutes until the reCaptcha is expired, after checking the box again the wheel will continue, but without result.

Is that an issue with my connection or the website?

This is a known issue that has been there since the second to last update (the last update came a few hours ago). We're trying to fix that. To my knowledge, this only happens on mobile unless you are on a desktop by chance that would be helpful to know.

I am on Laptop.

edit: the email-recovery did work now via mobile, email has been sent, but when I try to enter a new password (laptop) the same issue appears ("RECAPTCHA REQUIRES JSON AND IS IMPROPERLY FORMED AND IS REQUIRED")

Anyway, that is a good suggestion if they allow depositing USDT coins since it is stable and safe for being volatility.
But to be honest, I have not seen a gambling platform allow using USDT to deposit. Can you point me even one site?
Maybe the gambling you are talking about could be in one of these  Grin  Tongue

  • Poloniex
  • Bittrex
  • Bitfinex
  • Binance

All of which has USDT and you can gamble in any coin you want (XMR, ETH, etc).

Just kidding  Grin. I have searched the web and found this site. Not sure how reputable this is but I saw this.

Basically if you are patient you can send transaction using a 1satoshi/byte and it would get confirmed within a day or so.
Waiting for a deposited transaction to be done within a day is feeling annoying for me just to gamble. Cheesy
Maybe if you are already aware I think that is considerable.

Some of the gamblers prefer to use altcoins like Doge, LTC or even Eth. Because it has a low fee when it comes transaction, compared to Bitcoin Tx fee. However, I know this kind of upgrade will happen soon and this is not their main focus as of now. Since this gambling website considers is at a young age probably their target is to develop the website and protect from abusers. Let's give them enough time to conquer possible consequences.

Right now most people prefer to use BTC because it doesn't have the memory backlog like it did back in Q4 2017. Basically if you are patient you can send transaction using a 1satoshi/byte and it would get confirmed within a day or so.

So to transact on the bitcoin network is cheap right now, not very cheap or free but cheap enough. The issue with alts like Doge, LTC and ETH is that we are in an alts capitulation mode and they are getting heavily sold against BTC. Everybody is selling their alts and buying BTC. So people rather not hold any alts.

The best solution would be to add a stablecoin like USDT Tether and many people would use that instead and not have worry about the volatility of Bitcoin.

Mintdice is a young platform but it has listed many pairs, includes some pairs that are not familiar on other dice sites, like LUX, GAS, NEO, Zcoin, PIVX, and Decred. I think investors of those coins can use them to gamble, especially when altcoin price fell deeply and they have nothing to do with altcoin tradings at the moment.

I am curious that those coins listed on Mintdice due to Mintdice team vision or from those coins' developers request, and if yes, how much fees they have to pay?

We may alter some of the coins when they launch. So far we have not taken payment from anyone.

We have had requests to list some coins but we have not accepted any proposals to date.

There are some bitcoin services, exchanges and casinos which actually still do manual withdraws. It might seem like a poorly designed system these days with so many sites doing automated withdraws but it does have its advantages.

Many sites do this primarily because of security. Lots of crypto sites in the past were hacked due to some bug in the automated withdraw process. So there are some sites like Bitmex which processes thousands of BTC withdraws per day and its all manual. The reason why is because all the customer funds are kept in cold storage and a multi-sig is needed to release them.

So basically there is more than 1 admin who needs to manually sign the transactions to approve the withdraws. Again this is for security reasons. Most people rather choose security rather than fast transaction times.

I do not think so, as far as I know people still need fast transaction in the end. But somehow with this security thing is also demanding. But why they can't put some into their hot wallet instead of putting everything in cold wallet. Lets say to put 1 btc on their hot wallet to make a small withdrawal faster, even though if they got hacked, they will only losing 1 btc. Nowadays most sites doing it this way to prevent the huge hacker attempt. And for big withdrawal they will always double checked first before releasing the money, this is much safer

In my opinion the coins listed on Mintdice are part of the team's vision but correct me if I'm wrong, but some of them might have been gradual additions due to people's request  Tongue

mintdice has a very good selection of coins , it lists the most popular ones like bitcoin , litecoin , etherium , doge , dash
along with some relatively rare-to-see in gambling Lux , decred , pivx etc.
I think people's requests have little to nothing to do with the choice here
the site would benefit greatly to introduce automatic withdrawals , its a new site and I understand the owner's concerns about potential abuse and making sure everything is working as it should
but gamblers are picky and choosy , they would rather go to the site(s) they do not have a heart attack when trying to withdraw and not seeing their coins in the wallet immediately  Grin
correct me if I'm wrong , the dice game doesn't seem to have any bets going
is it a glitch on my end and the bets are not showing or there are simply not so many players at the moment ?

I believe there is hot wallet at mintdice to serve small withdrawal so it can be processed instantly/automatically and bigger withdrawal may take longer time or processed manually for checking/verifying first. I have no complains about the withdrawal process at mintdice as they do not even claim to have instant withdrawal IIRC. So if any withdrawals take a bit longer than other sites then it is OK.
The most important thing is that they let users withdraw. I’m worried about what could happen if you can't withdraw for a couple of days. You could ask for support when that happens. Having a withdrawal process would benefit the site itself, you should just be patient. For sure it’s worth the wait.
