after mintpal closing down, I don't trust exchanges any more. I will never keep more than 2 btc on an exchange unless I am actively trading with it

We need security for our BTC.  Exchanges and wallet services need to make the leap to provide
coverage for assets

Glad I took my coins off of Mintpal when they were hacked. Everyone should have done that at that time.

The once so popular exchange is nearly gone, and it's actually sad. I have had a great time there when they were handling 4000+BTC volumes per day.

They can't run an exchange, they even can't do server migration.... Says enough.

I tried to withdraw earlier and the status was eventually updated to "ferror-failed" and my balance was not updated after it failed. I contacted their support and was told 4 hours ago that the migration team would be looking at it. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. If I get my coins back I will make damn sure not to put them back into anything hosted by moolah.

Deposits haven't show up in 2 days, withdrawals stuck in pending for 3 days. Mintpal was so great before, this is really disappointing.

We really couldnt tell what is wrong with the site. But that doesnt mean that they are a scam site.

Apart from their horrible new design, they are a pretty safe and reliable exchange. They respond quickly to support tickets and have been pretty legit so far, but...Smiley

Really, raised a ticket 4 days ago no response sine being told it was being passed to development and further repeated requests, cannot login says account does not exist no idea if my funds are still there?

I am one of many....

My experience is as follows:

I have reset my password, I can access my account.
I have withdrawn about 35% of my balance, it was done in less than 5 minutes
trading has some glitches, but so far so good.

I don't see a scam

no is not.

do you even read / know what is going on?!!!

they are putting a lot of effort to rise from ashes and is not that easy to secure a crypto exchange platform.
True tho their timing for migration has been totally wrong and even worst the communications about it. they should have been migrating data way before, maybe during summer after acquisition, without public announcements. then finally test and publish the new version
