Well the mistake I made that leads mo to lose of funds is joining  a hype / pump too late.  i though it was just an early bump so I bought the coin without hessitation then I found out, whales are about to dump .  Lol, sometimes acting hasty without thinking is dangerous and can lead us to major losses.
That one is a big factor that many traders especially newbies are being hype and go along to ride to buy or sell just because of panic to late . In the most situations like that let the hype go to normal but if you can handle the situation and make advantage you can join thats the most time where professional traders and big whales earned on hyping and manipulating the market .
There are so many things in the market happens but we didn't know how to analyze it but when it comes in a particular coin it is much better to know first what is in the coin so you can get along what your best predictions are.

Your mistake/s in trading that leads to loss of money
I think it will be the best to share your story so that we can avoid your past mistakes.
Buying and selling will be said that needs a timing. I think the mistakes happened when the trading to btc to dollar is low so that sometimes it did not inrease then incase of emergency we need to convert it. For this reason we can't get a profit. We can't predict the prices of bitcoin in our market so the tendency will panic buying ang selling that will result lose of money. Enough knowledge and learning to succes in trading.

For me it were the beginner mistakes that have cost me hundreds of dollars worth of coins 2 years ago. It were the well known "When I buy the price goes down, when I sell the price goes up" mistakes.

This happens to me all the time! haha... I hope I could get out of this rat race.

Your mistake/s in trading that leads to loss of money

I have lost a lot due to FOMO.I would see some coins price rising high.Probably it would be a new altcoin and it has been already pumped and it will be in its final stage of pump and ready to be dumped.But,being a newbie,i dont know about that and due to FOMO,i will buy it.But bad luck,dumping will start and i will immediately give my sell order at a price lower than the price which i bought,but no use,the price will fall very quickly and finally,i will sell it at a much lower price at a huge loss.Newbies should take my experience as a lesson and should be very careful while buying such new altcoins.Good Luck

There are falling knives and there jumping knives

Catching both of these can be dangerous or even fatal to your account. If you are not certain or there is no real ground underneath your certainty, you should better stay away from trading since that would be basically gambling. If you cannot resist the desire to trade (I understand such feelings), just start small. In case the market goes against you, you won't lose much (and will thank yourself). In case it goes in your favor, reinvest the profits earned but don't invest more than that (kill the greedy man inside you). Market is just waiting to strip you off of your when you are going to start for real

Trading mistakes most people fall into:
  • Investing in crap, useless altcoins;
  • Getting emotionally attached to some coins (not necessarily a shit coin);
  • Panic buy, or panic sell;
  • Following retards' recommendations on exchange chat;
  • Buying at pumping peaks;
  • Trying to get on board after it's too late (i.e., seeing a coin pumping hard, trying to get a profit out of it, and ending up being a bag holder);
  • Being impatient (not good for trading, if you are a rush decider);
  • Being lazy – not doing any researches before investing;
  • Not knowing the perfect time to buy, and the perfect time to sell;
  • Being a bag holder – Hoping that a specific coin, you hold, will pump hard, which could take months, if ever;
  • Not trying to minimize losses;
  • Lastly, Greed.

I am not into a trading right now,
But I guess the mistakes that a trader could do that could lead to loss of money is panic selling and also expecting to much for some alt-coin price to pump.

Really you don't do trade?
Actually you have spend a period of time in bitcoin, and you are not doing altcoin trading but your judgement about loss in trading is good. So i suggest should try to start trading, and also no one is here who never get loss in trading, the reason is that we have fear to get loss.

Hurrying to make profit is my mistake, along with following wrong people and their trades, two of my most repeated mistakes. Every school have a price, and we should be aware of that, its not important how much money we lost in trying to learn, what is important is how much we learned for that money. I'm better now then year ago, for one more year I hope I will be even better.

Yeaaa it was fundamental mistakes too quick make decision to sell while the price fool you to skyrocketing.
But also you should be careful overconfident to not cutting lost while waiting the price to go up but it is keep dropping instead.
The key is you have to monitoring it all the time closely and always take it as serious business.

Exactly. When you see that the market price of bitcoin dive, we panic right away and sell it in fear of losing your investment if you hold on it. But i think you should do the opposite, you should continue to buy when the price of bitcoin nose dive and hold on for the long haul even if the price continue to drop. And for sure, when the drop of bitcoin rise again, you will get a good amount of profits in the long end.

When I was still new in trading in bitcoin/USD. I saw that the price increase is happened rapidly after the bitfinex issue and that's my first mistake that I have to do panic selling since I was new way back that time and my second one is when the price went up to $1,250+ but I didn't sold some of my coins which can allow me to buy new coin at low price, but it didn't happen.
That is a common mistake not just for new user but even for experience traders, people how tend to trade with a lot of capital when the yes, the price going doing they panic and go selling trying to cut their losses.

The other mistake is people get greedy so they miss the right time to sell when the price goes up, when it comes to trading you have to be your own judge and decide on your own.

Since bitcoins and altcoins are inversely proportional, as bitcoin dumps, always expect altcoins will pump that is the rule kn crypto currency. Regarding to the people who panic selling, they would eventually learn that holding is a very effeftive way to protect money loss.

Bitcoin- in bullish time
I think my mistakes in tradings are,
when I panic and sell my alt-coins in a low price then after a few days the price just pump up,
And also when I get greedy like when the coins price is pumping up and I won't sell it cause I think it will still go on then suddenly it will dump.
I already experience it when i was a newbie and until now i'm experiencing that greediness. I always buy atlcoins at a low price but then the bitcoin got higher then the prices of altcoins got even lower than i expected so i sell my altcoins and now the price of bitcoin is getting lower then i already regret those decision like selling my altcoins for a very low price and getting negative profit but now, I'm trying my best to avoid that kind of greediness and just hold and sell at a higher price.

One mistake I did in the past was also selling the coin that most people speculate to moon after months. After buying those coins, I also saw an opportunity to buy another coin which reputable users are also hyping. I was thinking the old coins i bought didn't moon and so I dumped them to buy the new one. Its was too late to buy the old one when I learned its value rise more than $4 and going up already.  I still regret losing a lot of monero during those days. I still bought hundreds of it sold again after it doubled. Lesson learned is to wait

Reputable users are not hyping anything

They are silently earning profits. If you think of someone as reputable and then they start hyping some coin, you may want to reconsider your attitude toward reputation. If someone knows for certain that some coin is going to rise (or fall, for the record), in majority of cases he will either keep complete silence or in fact start claiming that this coin is going to crash (rise) soon. The reverse is not true, though. If someone not "in the know" claims anything it doesn't necessarily mean that he will always be proven wrong. Even a broken clock shows the correct time twice a day

Every mistakes we made was always gave us a lesson to learned about it, so the next time  we do something about, it won't happen again. Even we loss of money. Many of the traders especially newbie, they often jumped up at once to earn big profit. Their very hot and excited to experience to earn big in trading so in the end they've loss big amount of money.

"To wait" cannot see good lesson all the times and for all the altcoins.

Your incident must be a peculiar one as that particular altcoin finds its moment of in recent times. If that would not have happened, you might have done a good job by selling them immediately.

My suggestion would be, just move on. This types of mistakes are most common in a trader's life always.
