How low is it? Not a gamer myself, so I am not really updated, but if I remember correctly, DOGE was rather popular for gaming community due to it's relatively fast transactions and low fee? Ripple? Stellar lumens? My point, if aiming for fast and low cost aspect of blockchain, why bother creating a new token and not utilizing what's there?

We have just created a new BTT thread so maybe that is why it is so quiet so far. Speaking about blockchain technology for multiplayer gaming. It can help to avoid expenses of provisions that credit card providers are taking, same as online payment platforms and have lowest prices for our users. Besides our new technology (a smart contract) allows the performance of credible transactions without third parties.

Wow, a really quiet thread. I wonder if it's because of the concept behind the project. On we go, I'd like to know first whyndo you "have" to use blockchain just to facilitate multiplayer gaming? Yeah, blockchain is nice, but it doesn't necessarily means we need to move everything to blockchain, not when the comventinal way still adequate to satisfy community needs.

Great news for all gamers! Our team has created a smart contract for a decentralised competition platform. This technology will allow players to compete not only on our gaming platform, but at any other game! We see the future development of a smart contract as a step towards creation of decentralised tournament platform. This is what we consider as one of our main aim.

So let us explain what a smart contract is. A smart contract is a computer protocol intended to digitally facilitate, verify, or enforce the negotiation or performance of a contract. Smart contracts allow the performance of credible transactions without third parties. These transactions are trackable and irreversible. Therefore this contract becomes mandatory and unconditional.

The main feature of the platform will be a smart contract implemented with the possibility to wager upon the personal matches of popular games. This contract would work on a blockchain level to have maximum transparency in determining winners and rewards.

Besides the smart contract it will be possible to add APIs of certain games in order to join the PvP. The main part of such games will be Steam-based but some other games as well will be accepted.

Github provides access control and several collaboration features such as bug tracking, feature requests, task management, and wikis for every project.

Release of MGO Gateway (Metamask) on GitHub will offer increased transparency on the development of our project. Now everyone can use it for implementation purposes and to contribute. We strongly believe that this release will make a valuable contribution to the overall popularity and success of MGO.

Splendid news for all game developers! Our team has already released different products aimed at the development of our community. We are planning to release many more in the future. Now we are releasung Payment API.

Payment API is an API we are developing that will provide developers with possibility to utilize MGO as a payment method in their games through direct integration - there are 3 options:

- With ETH fee (GAS) changed into MGO fee that can be paid by developers (for example if an item costs 10 MGO, user will pay 10 MGO, but the developer will receive 9.5, because 0.5 is spent on fee);
- With ETH fee (GAS) changed into MGO fee that can be paid by users (for example, if an item costs 10 MGO, user will have to pay 10.5 MGO, and developer receives 10 MGO);
- Standard API that will have ETH fee. (10 MGO - user pays 10 MGO but also pays for small network fee (gas) 0.01 ETH)

All these variations are open sourced. There is also one custom API:
- With ETH fee (GAS) changed into MGO fee that can be paid either by developers or users, but the fee is larger than the amount of GAS due to some other cause (for example, item costs 10 MGO, user will 10 MGO, but the developer will receive 9 MGO, since 0.5 MGO goes for fees and 0.5 MGO goes to charity).

We believe this Payment API will make provide game devs with even more functionality and working experience.

Good news everyone! Our team is working to provide you with the highest quality service. And we have always paid great attention to comfort, swiftness and security. That is why we are so proud to introduce to you a splendid app! Using the open-sourced code, our team has developed an application that uses the similar method like MetaMask and My Ether Wallet. For those that don’t know - Metamask is a plugin for the Chrome browser for quick payments and transfers in the Ethereum network.

Why do we need such an app?

It is an app/gateway that allows you to visit the distributed web of tomorrow in your browser today… The plugin is intended to serve as an intermediary between your Metamask/MEW wallet and partnering websites that are going to be connected in the future. The first among the many (on which integration we are working right now) is going to be Xsolla. You transfer the MGO tokens you want to spend to your Metamask account, but since Metamask doesn’t show the MGO balance by default, you can use the mnemonic that is used for importing the account, in order to login to our gateway. The gateway will show you only your MGO balance, without cluttering your interface with other tokens. Of course you may add the smart contract of MGO into Metamask as well, but we have created this application to relieve you of that pain.

Since you can have multiple accounts on Metamask with one mnemonic for different purposes and keep them on different computers, all of the addresses will be shown in the application. For example, you may have several debit plastic cards that perform different tasks. You can top up your balance from one Bank account, but if suddenly the data of any card will get to the scammers, they will not be able to get to your savings on the main account.

Right now, it is only possible to receive the funds via the Wallet - send function is not yet implemented, but we are working on the transactions feature that will soon make this a full-fledged MGO Wallet that can be used to see your MGO balance, in case you have account(s) on Metamask and My Ether Wallet.

After that, very soon, comes the introduction of this undoubtedly convenient wallet in Xsolla. Just to sum up what are the benefits it will open for users?
 
Instead of users utilizing many different wallets, the MGO paystation will provide a way to pay with MobileGo almost instantly - in just two clicks!
With both users and Xsolla destination address, these crypto transactions will be potentially much faster.
Another big benefit is that with this payment method via Xsolla, users no longer need to handle GAS (fees required for paying in the Ethereum network). The only necessary thing will be to have some MGO in the account of this plugin!
 

Much other integration with additional partners and games are on the way, which means that this app will see constant iterations of upgrades - we will keep you posted!
