Seems to be Facebook flaking out again. The page loads up fine for me. Also the hippie apparently impersonates Spider Man now.

Update:
Someone (Andrew F.) let the Sheriff know about all of this.  it sounded like the Sheriff already knew, as he stated that Chandler was already on "several peoples radar screen".

So hopefully at least he won't be able to continue scamming people forever.

if you are sending from you isp's email then yes your ip would be reported but if you are using webmail the webmail server would be the originating ip.

Well. That's weird.. I just checked a few emails from hotmail addresses and they show the actual IP it was sent from.

Most of them do, yes. That's an anti-spam measure.
The days when webmail only sent the mail server IP are long gone thanks to spammers.
I think yahoo was one of the last webmail services to drop that.

how did he contact you and how did you know it was coming from North Carolina?

he replied to an email that i sent to his PayPal-listed email address -- from the PayPal account he used to scam me.  i knew it came from NC because i looked up the IP from his email:  68.119.34.71  ... which is Boone, NC.

what email address?  Wouldn't the IP be from the location of the mail server and not necessarily his physical location??

Most mail servers send the real IP along side the server IP.
Sometimes it will show a LAN IP instead of the WAN IP, depending on how the router is setup Tongue

ahhh Google does not.

and what was his response?  (sorry I need a better scammer tracker!  too f***ing many of them)

his response was that he didn't know what i was talking about because he lived in colorado.  which was kind of funny because that response was sent from Boone / Chapel Hill, North Carolina -- and he also mentioned on his fb page about having lived in CO before.  so, basically, it is / was the correct person and he plans just to keep on scamming, apparently.
