^^^ no, it has to be a conversion mod specifically. Due to the nature of the mod I can't do those requests without a card in hand.

It will just tell you SubsystemID Mismatch anyways.

Are the 580 mods safe to use with a 480?
I have 4 PowerColor RX480 Red Devil and 2 XFX RX480 GTR

Use only the latest Adrenalin drivers with everything on default settings except for the fans, set the fans to 80-100% for any BIOS I post. It's one thing I don't mod; some cards have a scrollcage that will burst eardrums at 100%.

...and turn compute on (global settings-->graphics dropdown)

^^^ You need to run the fans at 80-100%, check GPU-Z and you'll see the memory running at 120 deg C. PowerColor really packs their cards full of sensors.

I'll make you BIOS that runs the memory at 1875, I think that was the magic number. I'll post it in a bit.
my ver. gpu_z i use not display memory temp, so i don't known it so hight @@
with your bios you will post, must be use msi_ab ?and how to config it?( power limit, core clock, mem clock)
Sorry for my awkwardness, i just started to learn mining for a short time

Notbatman can u help me mod my bios gpu for stability
I bought vga PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 560 RED DRAGON 4GB GDDR5(AXRX 560 4GBD5-DHA) miron_hynix(my vdram Hynix)
it's clock Shader at 896 and i use other bios up to 1024
I use Claymore CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.0 and msi_AB set core clock 1024; mem clock 2048 speed 396H/s, if power limint +10 it over 400H/s
but it not stability
Somethime one of its drop to 300H/s or down to 0H/s
my orig bios:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_aDlR0zURKsSvYa28EGK9d6Kvl5PQqbJ/view?usp=sharing
i'm use this:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R5jG_pceSTh7uKUeQvp-UdBtRUqelVFm/view?usp=sharing

You're in luck, I've got PowerColor RX560-4GB Mining OEM (Hynix) cards. The little darlings were a beast to tame but I got them very stable at 400 H/s (Claymore v11.1). They're aslo relatively good on power but I don't have any real numbers except GPU-Z.

The red devil should be the same card but with a different plastic shell.

edit:

How very odd, both the ROM on my hard-drive and the post I made about it here to share the ROM are gone. Only an older less stable version remains... except for in the cards EEPROM and they're currently mining.

edit_2:

You'll have to wait 'till later, I can't remember what frequency I stabilized them at...
yes i will wait for good news from you, hope it will be more stable, i am a new person who has lost a lot of time, but still can not stabilize it

I'm using this bios for the moment with my Sapphire RX 580 8Gb Micron

https://anorak.tech/uploads/default/original/2X/3/3bb9d90b65b70fcc85b4609f2b2ddb55250267fa.rar

I'm getting 31,7mh/s (memory clock at 2250 an GPU clock at 1250) but sometime the hashtag is get down until 14ms/s and when I check the memory clock it was also down to 1000.

the card is 57°C stable and less than 100w per card

At least on my Vega 56, 57°C core is trouble territory - generally corresponds w/ the HBM (memory) getting close to 70°C, which is where it starts throttling.  Unfortunately we don't have mem temp sensors on the 580s to verify if the same is happening.  Sounds like maybe you're running too high voltage?  Unless you're rig's in an oven, you should be able to keep the core below 50°C w/ reasonable fan speeds.  Not sure if that 100W is from the wall or GPU-z/HWInfo64, but if it's the latter, you should be able to get that around 80W or less w/ those clocks.

Modded the bios for this Hynix Sapphire, I got 874 H/s XMR fuck am I disappointed. Bloody thing uses two (2) PCIe power connectors, next card...

Assuming you're undervolting (and not increasing power limit,) you can get away w/ using only one of the pcie 6+2 connectors.  A single connector can carry 150W (plus another 75 from the board.)  Just brought 2 Sapphire 580s online (one regular w/ Samsung, one SE w/ Micron,) having never plugged in the second connector.  And yes, they're stable - at least for the past 24 hrs Smiley

Btw, do you happen to have any max performance numbers for a Sapphire Nitro+ 580 8Gb w/ Micron (SE preferably.)  Getting ~900-925H/s w/ [email protected] after just using the PBE one-click (which I believe is just a strap copy-up for Micron,) and I'm wondering if I should bother trying something custom (like your 5xx strap from above.)

I have MSI RX 480 reference card and Power color red devil RX 580
I am only getting about 25 mh/s on each
i tried flashing the bios on the reference 480 card but it immediately bricks the card i just copy the timings from 1750 to 2000
On the red devil i copied timings from 1750 to 2250 but if feel like it didnt do anything
did a fresh driver install and everything but still stuck at 25 mh/s

any help would be appreciated

Check previous page, notbatman has given the straps for different memory types.
Put on strap 2000 only, update bios. Oc memory to 1940 if you want and test.

I'm starting to lose my mind with following cards

PowerColor AMD RADEON RX 580 4G GDDR5 Mining Edition (AXRX 580 4GBD5-DM), 1xDVI

Can't get them over 820H/s for Monero

Tried Uber Mix 3.1 no help

Running latest Adrenalin driver, page file 24gb etc etc

Mining with XMR-STAK

I accept any suggestions regarding BIOS mod Embarrassed

i am getting 880h on cryptonight with rx 570 4gb

I know its possible, moved 2x cards to my home PC (Asus Maximus VIII Ranger with all setings in BIOS gen1 etc) same issue.
