Any advice would be appreciated...

My cards also seems to act strange in windows. Using phoenixminer I managed to get them stable at 29.7MH/s with this config:

Lowering gpu voltage seems sometimes make card unstable and make gpu frequency to float, reducing performance to like 26MH/s.
Linux (checked on simplemining) performance seems 1MH/s lower than windows. 7x gpu rig draws 1040wat , its like 145w per card. My other rx 580 runs at 30.5MH/s and using 130wat.

OK I figured out the trick to modding the 480 to a 580 (thx hellm), at least enough to make the new drivers work; offset D6 needs to be changed from C6 to E6.

If anybody has 480 to 580 mod requests I'm confident with doing that now. Before this I modded a compatible 580 BIOS, that was kinda dicey and I needed the card in hand.

Why such price difference between models?

There is always standard version priced at 5 USD... and some models have Pro version with higher price.
I've also tweaked PBE with my timings and with basic auto overclocking and undervolting

HI,

Gigabyte Rx580 Gaming 8gb card with 1500 timing.
I would like to ask for help in bios mode.
I watched videos about it. Everywhere 2000 timing but i have 1500 timing.
I backup the bios, and I opened it with the polaris and one click timing patch. Changed from 24 to 25 mh/s ETH.

Driver: Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23.

Im able to get 28-29 mhs an latest adrenaline driver, will test it a bit more and had also a funny experience with it on blockchain driver where the flashed card where mining 75-101 Mhs (single!!!) Cheesy

would be nice but unreal....

Single, but it can do it dual mining as well if you adjust -dcri in Claymore's.

hi there, sorry for the late response... Tried the bios you shared (many thanks for it). On the blockchain driver 23 august i got an error similar to yours but on the mem clock running around 533Mhz.... (instead of 2000) and on the 17.11.1 driver its the same like you described in your post with the latest adrenaline driver.... I tried it just on win 10.... If i find any working edition let you know Wink

Single, but it can do it dual mining as well if you adjust -dcri in Claymore's.
