I have to say that the news of his death really shocked me not so much because he is a legend but because up to that point I had been under the impression that he was long dead. I don't know why but I always thought he died in the eighties. I don't read much news other than tech and science and I very rarely watch TV but it's still pretty amazing that in all those years I'd never come across anything to do with him alive  Shocked He was a great boxer.

Great man that gave up the best years of his career to stand up for what he believes. It's too sad, we as a race, keep on killing, and tolerate leadership that continue leading us down the same path.

One of the greatest icons of our time. If he didn't get Parkinson's, he would have made something of himself. Probably a politician? An activist?

He is one of the smartest people who have ever lived. Up there with John Lennon, Ghandi, Che Guevarra and all the other freedom fighters and activists.

Muhammad Ali is actually not his real name since birth, at birth name was Marcellus Clay Jr. and after moving into the Muslim faith changed its name to Muhammad Ali. Goodbye Ali, I hope you're quiet in his side.

I don't really applaud his conversion to Islam. The reasons for his conversion, as claimed by him were laughable. He claimed that he was a victim of racism and xenophobia. Then what he is going to achieve by converting to Islam, another religion where racism is quite prevalent? The Arab Muslims and the Turkish Muslims are some of the most racist people on the earth.

I do not know a lot about Mohamed Ali but it seems he was a great man because people around the world loves him and a lot of people are sad about his death. May Allah have mercy on him

I will always remember his catchphrase "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee".
 
He was a legend who defeated every top heavyweight in his era. I wasn't around when he was fighting but I wish I could bet on his boxing matches.

He was the king of the golden age of heavyweight boxing. RIP.

He was a seperatist - he wanted land and resources for his people, so that they didn't have to be grateful at their masters table anymore.

I agree with him - but it has nothing to do with race, as Ali thought.

I understand why he would have seen it as a race issue, as a black man from Louisville, born 1942.

But its a class issue. Its about those with - and those without.

Apart from my father, he is the only other man I could ever have envisioned myself following. Thats saying a lot for me.

He made me understand what a man is capable of, what it is to be a man. Thats how he made me feel.

Was hard to watch him paraded out by the family in those last 10 years,hope my time here is a bit more swift with the ending part.
74 is quite a long time for a guy that got head in the head for a living before they actually had concussion rules.
Be at ease great one.

This. He had parkinsons for 32 years, so it's actually amazing he managed to last this long - it's a testament to his doctors.
