Been having a few issues with installing 0.9.4. I got the following message about UNBOUND_LIBRARIES variable not being set.

Quote
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
UNBOUND_LIBRARIES
linked by target "unit_tests" in directory /home/viewkey/bitmonero/tests/unit_tests

-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!
See also "/home/viewkey/bitmonero/build/release/CMakeFiles/CMakeOutput.log".
See also "/home/viewkey/bitmonero/build/release/CMakeFiles/CMakeError.log".
make: *** [release-all] Error 1

There were some other issues during the make/install and those appeared to have been resolved after doing some searching. I haven't found anything regarding this issue.

I presume I shouldn't be touching the make file at all.

Any ideas?

So, I have been running into this bug while "making" the bitmonero folder following gingeropolous's post here on this thread and have been running into this error:

Code:
-snipped- ...

make[3]: Entering directory `/home/username/bitmonero/build/release'
[ 33%] Building CXX object src/blockchain_db/CMakeFiles/blockchain_db.dir/lmdb/db_lmdb.cpp.o

Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See for instructions.

make: *** [release-all] Error 2
username@username-Dell-E521:~/bitmonero$ start bitmonerod
start: Unknown job: bitmonerod

Has anyone gotten this sort of thing before?  I updated and followed all the procedures up to this point... using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS btw.

Also, when it hits this point my computer gets SUPER slow and I can pretty much do nothing on it until I restart it.

Monero (XMR) - secure, private, untraceable
April 15, 2016, 05:40:26 PM
Presumably monero will run properly on the new machine.  It's a chromebook c720p running galliumos, which is a linux distro designed specifically for chromebooks.
The chromebook is downloading the blockchain now.  But the old machine has the blockchain already on it.  Maybe if somebody can link to a post with instructions for exporting the blockchain, I'll do that.
If it's linux on both the machines you could probably just copy the entire .bitmonero folder with the blockchain from your other machine. It should be compatible.

its actually probably faster to just download the blockchain again than doing an export then import.

Agree, if you really want to import though, see intructions here:

https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/releases/tag/v0.9.0

Under "Updating: Blockchain Conversion".

Can you run monero on a linux machine with a 32 gb ssd?
I have monero installed on a 64 gb machine and it takes up more than 32 gb.  So I'm guessing the answer is no.
I bought a new notebook and it turns out the thing only has 32 gb.

it shouldn't be taking up more than 32 gb.
I have it installed and running on Ubuntu using 11GB. It's on 20GB SSD KVM1 Ubuntu VPS for 1$ per month first 3 months (bought from here: http://moonero.duoservers.com/linux-vps-service/kvm/ - it's 11+$ per month if you continue using it after the first 3 months promo period).

I have an issue opening 'old' Simplewallet (generated when mnemonic count was 24). Wallet was created on PC and now I'm using MAC. Unfortunately i don't have mnemonic available to rebuild the wallet.

I tried on MAC Simplewallet 0.8.8.6 and i keep getting the following error message:

"Error: failed to load wallet: failed to read file "wallet_name""

I also tried MAC Simplewallet 0.9.4.0 and i get the following error message:

"Error: failed to load wallet: incompatible native format - size of long"

Any help to open the wallet in Simplewallet is appreciated of if there is a way to export the wallet to MyMonero. Thank you!
Using PC (not MAC) to restore the wallet is your best option to fix it on your own. Otherwise go to IRC -> freenode -> #monero or #monero-dev and someone there could be able to help (some additional lines of code may be needed in simplewallet in your case and you should find someone capable of writing those if this is the case).

Monero 0.9.4 x64 on Windows 7 x64 gives me the following error. Any thoughts?

Code:
---------------------------
bitmonerod.exe - System Error
---------------------------
The program can't start because libwinpthread-1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

[edit]

Just realized the .dlls are available in my 0.9.3 directory - grabbed them and all is fine. Newbies are going to scratch their heads though so this should be corrected, no?

hi, i have a problem Angry i send 4.53XMR to bittrex wallet, and i have not received them. After 24 hours, I began to investigate, it turned out that the transaction that gave me wallet does not exist. The balance on the wallet 0, on the stock exchange transaction is also invisible. Interesting. You can also post on https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero in you want. This way your question will get more exposure, and hopefully, answer will be found faster.

Hi, Monero team! This is Emily from ShapeShift. I wanted to send you a request. Is there a way in the future when you have hard forks or any major changes that you email me? [email protected].

We do our best to keep up with all changes with all of our assets but it's hard for us to keep tabs on all 40+ coins so we failed to know you guys hard forked until after it had happened so we have temporarily removed it until we can do the fix. Would love to be as proactive in the future as possible. Thanks!

Oh you mean like we did in January already?

Not to mention this issue with the Beta ShapeShift site:

On the Beta site, the PaymentID when selling Monero is showing up as blank.

I'm trying to run a monero node on an Android tablet.  The tablet's ssd doesn't have enough space, so I downloaded and extracted version 9.3 on a 64 gb usb flash drive, attached it to the tablet through an OTG cable, and tried to run bitmonerod (I am using Ubuntu Touch).  Went into the monero.linux.armv6.v0-9-3-0 folder and typed ./bitmonerod, says permission denied.  Tried chmod u+x bitmonerod, still says permission denied.  So it's not the permission on bitmonerod that's the problem, it's the security controls on the entire volume.  Is there some way to gain permission to run an executable that's in a folder on the flash drive?

You'll need root access to remount the drive with proper permissions. Android mounts most filesystems with noexec, besides /system and maybe some parts of /data.
