2nd try from an app owner
my next question addressed to MP owner and not to yahoo is that we are ready to go out with our new game and it was coded for Satoshi wager. when will the minimum 1 bit wager be implemented?
2 days ago, there was a notification where this
was stating the 1 bit minimum wagers will be effective May 1st, 2016. A bit after I saw that though, they put up a new banner stating to disregard the notification, but I'm guessing it's still may 1st and they didn't want to worry people or something. The 1 bit thing shouldn't really effect most apps, probably only dice. Other apps like your dust lottery could be changed from single 10 satoshi bets to 10 linked 10 satoshi bets (1 bit total) obviously with the same chance as betting 10 times. Only difference with that is that you can't hit 6/6, 5/6 or 4/6 in a row for those 10 bets, since in reality it is only 1.
@darkstar thank you very much for the info very much appreciated. we did not see it and no one of our customers told us that they saw it.
to be frank MP behavior is very confusing because app owners as well as players should be informed when and if the 1 bit min will be implemented. we have many players who are asking us if and when because they don't like it. and we as app owner would like to know the ETA because we are ready to go out with a new game app and need to tell our coders to change to bits instead of satoshi.
your proposal regarding our Dust Lottery to circumvent the 1 bit implementation would be not fair for our customers (if I understood you right). because it would be like they buy a ticket for 10 bets and pay 10 x 10 = 1b bit but cant hit 4/6 5/6 6/6 in a row
(
thx again for the info and suggestion
I do agree, MP needs to have better communication, at least with app owners as they make moneypot good. If the only apps were dice, not as many people would play. Regarding my proposal, it wouldn't be fair, but the chance of hitting 4/6, 5/6 or 6/6 in a row is extremely unlikely. You should at least consider adding it as an option. Some players are more casual and would rather spend lower amounts to win a decent amount rather then 2 bits to win 16 BTC. Just my 2 bits
thank you very much again for your straight forward opinion. sadly MP owners are very quick to post in different threads on BCT but the same time not answering our ETA question regarding the min 1 bit implementation. we asked already 2 times and will not be shy to ask a 3rd time
we have 4 MP apps and started almost from the start of the RHavar's MP idea and are ready to add our 5th game app and we dont want to go out with this game as it is coded for Satoshi wager and shortly after going online MP will announce that we have to change to min 1 bit. we need to know the ETA so coders can change it.
back to your suggestion
now as you are proposing to add it as an option it makes sense to us. we forwarded your suggestion to the coders to check out this possibility so we can add it. but again an ETA of min 1 bit implementation would be very helpful for us because we are non coder and need to pay our coders for every minute and in case min 1 bit will not be implemented we don't want to change from Satoshi to bits.
we believe in Dust players because bitcoin gambling without Dust players will not exist. the masses of players are Dust players (as in fiat).thanks again for trying to help
best of luck wherever you put your coins
please let me add our 3rd try to get an answer for the ETA of the min 1 bit implementation? We are planning on implementing the new minimum wager at the same time we release v2.0, which should launch around late April / early May.
Frankly the bolded statement is not true. Fiat casinos do not accept bets that are a tiny fraction of a cent. A 1 satoshi bet is equivalent to ~$0.0000042644. While we value all of our players, the truth of the matter is that we lose no matter the outcome of the bet on bets that small, because the cost to process and store those bets exceeds the value of the bet. Additionally, little bets slow down the network which affects the true bread and butter base. This doesn't even take into account that the majority of players betting a single satoshi at a time have not deposited any funds on the site, and are only playing with funds provided by our faucet.
please let me add our 3rd try to get an answer for the ETA of the min 1 bit implementation?
I find this very sad, and quite unprofessional, for the record: that a MP app owner has to ask 3 times and still hasn't received an answer.
Yes, I do play on Jackpot Racer, and I also play on Bit-Exo, and honestly, if it wasn't for the Dust Lottery, I never would have found Bit-Exo and other MP apps. I also have another account that I have created for the sole purpose of investing with MP, and have a considerable amount invested into MP (which I'm taking a beating on the past 4 hours, btw lol).
I love MoneyPot and the idea behind it, but honestly, the way that I have witnessed JackpotRacer being treated (by dogedigital specifically) is quite frankly BULLSHIT.
I am not related to JPR in any way, shape, or form, other than the fact that I play on his site. He hasn't coerced me to write this; I'm speaking freely here, but I've seen many of the responses from dogedigital in other threads, and the lack of responses here, and... yeah. It would piss me off to no ends if I spent my time and resources in hiring developers to build a gambling platform that supports YOUR VERY PRODUCT, only to get treated like the bastard redheaded stepchild like you're treating him.
How insulting; you should be ashamed, in all seriousness. Give the man a god damn answer so he can tell his developers how to code for the changes. Or just man up and tell him that he's no longer welcome to be a part of the MP app family, which is the impression that you're giving off by the way you're acting like a child. Yeah, it's THAT transparent, where an average joe like me can clearly see it...
How fucking sad....
Let us start by saying we are glad you enjoy apps on our network! Regarding our response time to JPR, we don't have time to repeat ourselves over and over on things that have already been answered in the private slack channel, or in public.
