^ Max win is now set to 1% of the house bankroll.
Currently 7.57 Bitcoin Max (still quite large), but now large jackpot style wins above this amount are no longer possible at the moment.
So you mean that we cant mo longer win huge amount? So how about if accidentally someone win huge smount? Lets say it is 8btc? Will they get their payout? Some of your apps that offer 20btc, if I not mistake minesweeper game which offer that amount. I dont know if they already set to this limit or not
No one can win more than 1% of the bankroll. Bets attempting to win >1% of the bankroll are denied by MP.
This move may help to get investors some profit in the longer run but it is not so good for those big whales. Don't know how it is going affect business in the near future but having such limits will help all investors.
Whales aren't really affected much. Rarely anyone bets more than 7 Bitcoin at a time. The restrictions are set more so for very large (more than a million to one) payouts risking much less bitcoin.
I'm not an investor, but I just don't see how offering massive jackpots is a good idea for the investors/MP. Yeah you have an edge but the short term variance is just way way too large. The goal should be to get a lot of people betting modest sums at reasonable (1.5x-5x) odds where your house edge can just compound on itself and you print money. Not having people bet dust with a chance of cleaning out the bankroll.
If you want to offer a jackpot, you should do it the smart way and have it be player funded. Just have every wager over a certain amount (like, say, .0001
BTC) have a tiny amount (like, say, .000001
BTC) taken out of it and put into a global fund...and then if you roll under/over a raw outcome (have it be a 1-in-1000000 or 1-in-2000000 chance), you win the entire pool and it starts over again. Obv you can tweek those numbers to be whatever you want, but by having the players fund it first you get all the benefits (promotional) of having a jackpot with none of the risks. And it's actually better for the players because a tiny % of their bet is house edge-free, so they actually have higher equity (although it's very small). Win-win.
