It seems that betting volume has remained quite low after coming back online. The last several days I see ~80 btc wagered every 24 hrs, whereas prior to the downtime and DDOS attack it was getting more common to see 10x the traffic. My figures might be off a bit, but that seems like an awfully large falloff this long after the downtime.

I'm not currently invested in the bankroll, but if things start picking up I'll prolly climb back aboard. Beyond the extended downtime, are there any other reasons why volume has fallen so much? I'm also thinking that if BTC price retreats to pre-halving levels then pikers will will spend more time gambling than trading. (Even I withdrew my coins to trade during the halving-related volatility.) There are indeed many different ways to gamble.

So the withdrawal fee is not fixed yet? This is the second time I choose 200bits for withdrawal but your system process the withdrawal with only 7k satoshi (less than the default one)
And yeah I need to wait for longer time to get the transcantion confirmed by blockchain. Wondering, how much the transaction will be used if I choose the default one. Hope you can fix it asap.

If there are anymore questions about this, please send me a PM instead of posting here, the past 2 pages of this thread have now been spent on addressing this.

Cheers Smiley

No questions, promise! But I started this discussion and I think an important point has been missed, namely this:

MP's policy of offering apps flexibility in directing only a portion of their bets to the MP bankroll is very positive in my view. Keep in mind MP's primary objective is to grow bet volume. They can do this in one of two ways: A. Help attract traffic to the existing portfolio of MP apps, or B. Bring in more, ideally distinctive or innovative apps.

Now think about that. There are surely established 'casino' type sites out there who are bankrolling their own small pikers, but who are missing out on the whales who are simply too big for them. That is MP's pitch: link up with us, keep bankrolling your small bets, and let us enable your larger action. Pretty compelling I would think. We all want MP to be offering this, and we all hope it works, to help grow the platform.

That said, bankroll investors should be made aware when app owners begin utilizing this option in a meaningful way. MP said they will tell us, and I believe them.

We are fine with apps doing this at the moment (even though they are choosing not to): The key is if it ever became an issue (i.e. MoneyPot ever started losing big volume).

if apps ever start deciding to do this and it affects MoneyPot's volume we will simply change our T&C ...

Ok thank you. I'm a little surprised that Betterbets at least has not done this yet. I think if MP and certain app/casinos really grow and profits accumulate, some of the larger apps/casinos will take a look at bankrolling some of their own action. First world problems I guess ...

I speak with Bjorn pretty frequently.. I can say with 99.99% confidence that BetterBets will never self bankroll for BTC bets.

I don't think that this is the question if BB would do it or not. if MP does not like that any app will do this why not shut down this option and not offer it at all?

How can mp stops it if the app won't send them the bets? The app owner can choose if they want to send bets to mp or not, its just the matter of coding

It would be pretty simple, if we cut off an app's access to our API, our users won't be able to log into the site. Again, if a lot of apps ever started to decide doing this we would change our T&C, and give app owners a heads up. As it stands, MoneyPot's volume is not being affected in anyway and it is extremely unlikely that it will ever become an issue in the slightest.

We have no plans to self bankroll bitcoin, our integration with Moneypot is now well over a year old, and our interests are aligned with theirs in terms of player security and collaboration on current and future business. On top of that we have stakeholders now and their contract is not finished for another 20+ months and their dividends are based off the MP model.

Betterbets, no worries. I have played at your site because i believe in you. i hope that betterbets have been doing very well as i am very excited about how you all carry out the stakeholders plan and i hope things will be even better from here onwards.

How can mp stops it if the app won't send them the bets? The app owner can choose if they want to send bets to mp or not, its just the matter of coding

Stopping the feature wont stop an apps from offering the game with their own bankroll. They could easily split themselves up from moneypot and do it however the answer for your question has been listed as well in accoin's post

This is not an issue whatsoever, if apps ever start deciding to do this and it affects MoneyPot's volume we will simply change our T&C.

So there is still a good chance that if an apps do it, it might turns out to be good for MP as well. It might offer more gambler to try out the site which of course benefit the other apps as well

It is good that MP acknowledge and keep a lookout for any potential problems. It is great that the MP is ready to deal with such issues, but be careful when changing the T&C. There are some people that may pick on MP to accuse them of 'cheating' as when it is good for them, they never do anything but when it is bad for them, they turned the rules to continue to benefit them.

Is this means that you are telling them to shut down those features as well right now instead of trying to change their T&C when there is a problem regarding this in the future? well I can say one thing with certainty though, if someone is planning to bankroll his own site , he probably will not be using moneypot again but instead build everything on his own

I dont think shutting down is a good option. I also dont think that changing the T&C is a wrong thing. But it is about the process of changing. If it is not done well, and some irritating people will hug on to it, and bring unnecessary flare to it.
