Mooncoin at Bitcointalk

Just received a PM from the Mooncoin dev, barrysty1e.
He told he's going to change the fork block number to 1,200,000.
So the fork will be delayed.
It's good, because the new wallet is still raw, and mining questions are unresolved yet,
also any hard fork is difficult (not only an average user, also all exchanges, pools, block explorers, online wallets and services must update the wallet), so better to fork only when you are 100% sure that the new wallet will be adopted and contains significant improvements which will work. And to give enough time to everyone to update.
The community has a chance to discuss what to implement into the new release, before moving to the new wallet.

I moved from exchange to wallet without any trouble.

and then from wallet to paper.  small trouble, but was my own fault. (i hit generate new before printing first wallet, lost a few coin) again, totally my fault.

I know I lost quite a lump sum while trying to move coins to wallet and was never recovered after following all the  procedures.

Could you post your problem in detail, or PM? Which procedures did you follow?
Everything is very simple: if you have your address and its private key, you can send coins to this address and you have a full control on coins on this address.
It doesn't depend on wallet's versions, forks, exchanges etc.

Edit: The current wallet (0.10.5) works great, your issue is not linked to the version of the wallet.

The mooncoin project seems dead to me, this also reflective on the price. Until I read about a hard fork on this coin.  When will this fork take place?? I know I lost quite a lump sum while trying to move coins to wallet and was never recovered after following all the  procedures. Waited a few months if a good wallet would be developed but it wasn't. Same old procedure same old way to move coins from exchange to wallet. I think I would rather keep the remaining tokens I have on exchanges. I have counted my losses and moved on,  with mooncoin being my worst investments so far, until I saw the hardfork revolutionary move. I wonder if the name is going to stay MOONCOIN

How to generate Mooncoin addresses and private keys (paper wallets) in a simple and secure way:

1. Go to https://walletgenerator.net.
2. Scroll down the page and you will see the link 'Download (Github Repository)', click it.
3. You will be redirected to the Github page 'MichaelMure/WalletGenerator.net', forked from pointbiz/bitaddress.org.
4. Click 'Clone or download'.
5. Click 'Download ZIP' - the archived file will be downloaded.
6. Transfer this file to the offline secure PC.
7. Unpack the .zip file to the directory 'WalletGenerator.net'.
8. Open the file index.html from the directory 'WalletGenerator.net' with your browser.
9. Click 'MoonCoin'.
10. Move your mouse randomly to be sure that no one else is able to create the same addresses/private keys.
11. Print your paper wallet (your address/private key).
12. Don't send coins to the address before saving/printing its private key.
13. Never disclosure your private key to anyone and never keep your private keys on a PC/phone with an Internet access.

You can also use a 'Brain Wallet' option, it's not recommended though, if your passphrase is weak, it can be brute forced and your private key, linked to this passphrase, can be compromised and coins can be stolen.

I suggest doing the paperwallet generator,  Dl'ing the setup, doing it on your computer at 'home'  ie: localhost.

you can do the paperwallet, (change to Mooncoin )  hit generate, then hit PRINT, immediately.   after printed, (confirm with what you see on screen)

then goto your wallet, and send coins to that address.  (as much as you like/have)
I split mine up between a few addresses.

then put the paper away in a safe place.

(or you can do the Brain wallets) which i assume/think is passphrases?

but eitehr way, send it there, sit on em for a bit.   after the Fork you can then wait for Wallet /exchange updates and load them into your fresh wallet Smiley

Good afternoon. There are almost 5000 blocks for the fork... Smiley
i Hello i am getting a little bit concerned what do we have to do to wallets before hard fork nothing i hope

It's strongly recommended:
1) to withdraw coins from exchanges
2) to backup your wallet.dat or to send coins to paper wallets.
You have to do that as soon as possible.

it is not save to keep them at bleutrade?

Recently Mooncoin has processed a transaction #2,000,000.
2 million successful transactions since the beginning, not bad.

If you have a version 0.10.5, transfer coins to your address and after that save wallet.dat, you can also save your private keys.
You have to do that immediately.

How about putting the location of stars relative to earth on the blockchain. In the future it will become THE map for travelling across this dimension.

Every time I re-read your comment, I find the new way of interpretation.
Save me please and describe in the details: what kind of location of stars is relative to earth? What dimension are you going to traveling across in the future?
