Thanks. It looks good. The only thing I noticed was it's missing the close and minimize buttons in the upper right corner.

Good afternoon. It's a very good work ! I agree about missing of close and minimize buttons in the upper right corner.

Hi all,

This is intentional and looks much neater; the reason this doesnt become an issue, is because you can actually grab the wallet (by clicking anywhere on its face) and dragging it directly.

mebagger: None of these are issues; the seeds will be revisited once we make a decision to go forward with this code or not.

james

Good morning. I accept your answer James. Also, I am waiting your answer about mining issues which mentioned by Mooncoin Fundation. I believe that Mooncoin is on  the right path.  Smiley

How could the community make the decision without knowing details about mining?
The important purpose of this release, as it was discussed in this thread earlier, was to let people mine without pools directly from their wallets.
Mooncoin is a Proof-of-Work coin, which means that the network and its hashrate are very important, e.g. to prevent a 51% attack.
Currently several pools mine Mooncoin, and the network hashrate is not too low.
How do you expect, will these pools support the new algo and install the new miner, or not? Would it be simple for them?
Another question is will common users be able to mine MOON in a simple way directly from their wallets, or not?
If not, what is the advantage of new wallet? Blocks anyway will be fast (and even are quite fast now) if the network hashrate is big. The network hashrate depends on miners. If pools or users directly will not mine MOON with a new wallet, the hashrate will be low with all possible issues deriving from that.
Thank you for your work, and thank you in advance for your answers to these questions.

Ok I see what you're saying. You can still minimize from right-clicking the icon in the taskbar. It's not super intuitive but I get it.  But this one really is an issue:
2017-11-05 22:05:35 GUI: QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible: No Icon set
The try icon is missing for real. those little icons that show near the clock in the right hand corner are missing. There is just a blank space that I have to right click to get into menus. no little green M circle there. ... looking through the source now to try figuring out where it might be located.

To The Moon !
November 05, 2017, 03:37:22 PM
Hello all,

This is probably the post that you've been waiting for.
Please take all precautions necessary with newly released software (backup your existing chains/wallet before use).

https://github.com/mooncoindev/mooncoin-0.13/releases/tag/0.13.3

Please 'put it through its paces' and report any issues on the thread.
If all is well within the week, we will begin approaching existing pools/exchanges; to migrate entirely to the new codebase.
I've also had some questions in regard to mining on the new algorithm; however once a clear-cut decision has been made (to progress with codebase or not), I will release further information.

James

Hello, could you provide us with more detailed info, it look like there are still lack of information on the first post, many content that should be present still not available at the moment. Please complete all the details. Thank you.

I'm waiting for answers to some questions regarding mining from the Mooncoin dev, barrysty1e, before updating of  the OP.

The fact is that the token or coin is in demand because it is useful.  Not because some return on investment is guaranteed.

Where can Mooncoin be factually used and what can I buy with it?

Currently buying things or services even with Bitcoin is still quite exotic.
Mooncoin is in use for tipping in the Mooncoin community.
It's planned to try to add more real use with projects on top of Mooncoin blockchain, e.g. SmartLikes and MoonWord.
You can use MoonWord right now. Other projects will be launched later by Mooncoin enthusiasts.
There is a delay with other projects as people were waiting for the new release since this summer.

Important!
It's strongly recommended to send all your MOON to paper wallets. Please use 10-20 paper wallets and never disclosure your private keys to anyone.
At the OP there are links to detailed information on how to create paper wallets.
Especially you need it if you are new to crypto and don't understand much about wallet.dat, backing up of wallet dat, synchronising of wallet, network, blockchain, forks etc.
If you don't understand how to use paper wallets even after reading the info, feel free to ask questions.
Paper wallets will protect you against issues with a new wallet (if there are any). If you have 10-20 paper wallets, then you will be able to import keys step by step to the new wallet after it's well tested and established in the future.
Please do it before November, 21-22 (estimated time of arrival of the block 1,165,000).

Thanks James!
Why does some of the comments..(not just negative ones...)

sound..... (or read in this case ofc)   as so...  fake?

both Neg and positive.  they are like those calls you get, that you just cant tell them to stop calling...

crap.  we been invaded.

it is happening on other threads right now too ^^^

if there can be shown to be 99 or more people working together the project can be deemed a decentralized corp IMO and thusly the mooncoins a security.  This is a result of the 1934 law designed to break the legs of any future competition to the dollar.. Comments are my own.  Peace on earth!
