There is a suggestion to make these rewards 1/10 of current in the new release with CPU Argon2 mining.
It just will move MOON to satoshi markets, and miners will again have the same rewards in BTC, but very likely MOON will be listed at large exchanges and traded for BTC after you cut the inflation.
Who will support that?

Yes! I completely agree

Additionally because i'm an eccentric character:

moonterm (spv mooncoin console client)

fully working SPV-client (no blockchain required)
ported from https://github.com/bit-c/bitc.git
a very well written base for any SPV client, out of respect for the author i will keep the codebase name as is

if there is sufficient interest i will release the source,
i'm currently using it to learn about transaction constructor/serialization.

(stay tuned for the commodore vic20 edition)

To The Moon !
Good morning from Greece. I am interesting for mooncoin mining with cpu (wallet in my desktop). So, I am waiting for the good news. Smiley

Network working well now : average block time 93sec ----> 929 blocks day ---->500ml Mooncoin montly  Shocked

Huh? thought, the blockhalving was here?

From 1100000 up to 1199999 blocks ---> next blockhalving 1200.000 expected 18/07/2017  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The new logo is nicer than before but too plain Smiley
You have not published a lot of updates, even though the work is intense. Hope will succeed.
we are waiting intensely for this new update over it.

or do you specifically mean the inclusion of the new logo

Is there a way to speed up blockchain confirmations? e.g. higher hashrate?

Confirmations can be taken two different ways; do you mean the amount of blocks it takes mined MOON to become spendable (COINBASE_MATURITY), or the amount of blocks required before MOON received can be spent, if it is sent to you by someone else?

Hashrate will help, but due to the block difficulty retargetting algorithm it will always even out.

Multiple confirmations in cryptocurrency are viewed as a good thing; as it means that the existing work has been proof'd multiple times, which aids in keeping the network secure.

Other pools and block explorers; can you please update to the latest commit available on github.

Or at a minimum; attempt to restart your current node with -maxtipage=999999.
A lot of code concerning optimization/correct behaviour of getheaders was introduced - and i notice that a lot of early 0.10.5 clients simply display the following after a 'getpeerinfo':

"synced_headers" : -1
"synced_blocks" : -1

I will be assisting Barrysty1e with mining from this point forward as well to help insure continuous mining for our coin. I will begin mining tonight.

Hi all,

Slowly bringing some more Litecoin goodies across (headers first patchwork and bidirectional 'getdata').
I do enjoy long coding stretches but I do have to sleep as well you know.
A different POW algo (CPU-oriented is definitely on the cards).

A 24 hour gap isn't anything to get worried about.

Will bring moonrush.org up again shortly for some testing, and will give the all good when its, erm.. all good to go  Cool

Last block found 1 day and 10 hours ago?

Hopefully this can be fixed soon, I would hate to see Mooncoin go through the same exact death as Flappycoin.

There were pauses between blocks for several days in 2015-2016, and then network continued.
Do you think now when MOON is supported by a professional dev, the network will stop forever?

Currently it makes sense to implement a good algo first (mining directly from wallets with CPU) and only then let people update.
It is in progress.

Yes! It's a good idea mining directly with CPU !

PS before block 1100000, average blocks daily 960 and montly inflation 850 millions, after halving inflation had to be equal to 515ml , but now is zero! Low inflation helps investors. Perhaps in the new implementation We can review programmed inflation?
