Dogecoin is rising and mooncoin is back to lower than 1 sat Sad
It's okay I think. And this coin their still will play and I think very soon begin to rise and the supporters will be happy with. Now apparently the waves is gradually growing. The main fact in our business faith.

3) Discard Smart Likes and concentrate on what is important (get a new dev and a flawless wallet with proper support for the community by the dev who can answer questions like: how was it possible to move the said-to-be-"locked"-coins to the wallet of the former dev?).

locked coins did not move under my tenure; or any of the code i released.
once my 0.13 release was suitably butchered; after some modifications to my forbidtx routines and transaction relaying parameters in general, the coins did indeed move.

looking at the dates and actions of individuals, not sure how you've missed that.

Hello James good to here from you i never thought you had anything to to do with the locked coins being moved  it was a stupid time accusations flying around everybody getting accused it was a very bad time    but by the dates you have looked at you obviously have worked out what happened ?  and i appreciate the work that you have done for mooncoin in the past thanks james hope to hear from you a bit more

The opinion of the community is needed, what is better:
1) to disclosure SmartLikes technology in public - before a new dev implements it into the wallet (but there will be a quite high risk of copy-pasting of technology by other coins even before its launch by Mooncoin)
2) to wait for new dev's identity, then tell him a technology and wait for his new release at Github - with this technology inside.
What do you think?

3) Discard Smart Likes and concentrate on what is important (get a new dev and a flawless wallet with proper support for the community by the dev who can answer questions like: how was it possible to move the said-to-be-"locked"-coins to the wallet of the former dev?).

Smart Likes-"technology" has never been decided over by the community, because no one knows what it should be and knows the details. The "risk" of being copied by someone other has proven to be as low as possible, because if it were really interesting, Mooncoin would range much higher in the charts and another dev would have already taken over the idea and developed a coin with this himself.

As long as we haven't seen anything how it should be implemented, it is like talking about ghosts anyway - others here have recognized this, too. Keep in mind that storing who and when someone has "liked" something, is a serious threat for anonymity (would you like to have these info stored by an entity, that has no proven record)? And it would have to be stored somewhere, if it should work like talked about since years. Aside from the problem with storage space (if this information is stored into the blockchain) or centralization and non-transparency (if the data is stored on a server run by a central instance). Think about things that happened with data-misappropriation just some days ago by an even bigger company. Storage of personal-data in combination with a cryptocurrency goes against everything what is the origin of crypto. Maybe the reason why Mooncoin lost acceptance more and more over time is just the advertisement of Smart Likes? As long as no one knows how this is planned to work in detail, I consider it to not be voted for by anyone, because no one can judge how it works and no one can do a proper technology-assessment that would be necessary to make a proper decision.

Hello Lunar bros, I would like to inform the progress of the Mooncoin Brasil team. As I mentioned in the last post, Vicente already has the material to upgrade the site and is already mounting the new tabs that will be there soon, I believe that in less than 1 week the site upgrade is ready. After the upgrade is ready and available, we will begin the process of commercial adoption, giving indications of use of the latest version of wallet for pc 0.139, and the platform cointopay for use as webmobile as a site is already universal use, android, apple, windows phone, ubuntu mobile among others.

I would like to leave the link to anyone who wishes to contact a member of the Mooncoin Brasil team, it may take a while to respond because all members have a permanent job, and some and some also do academic studies.

I recently posted an updated photo of the Mooncoin Brasil team on twitter Mooncoin Brasil, We already have material with updated items such as the currency logo and the access link. I would like to note that the member Anthony Souza left the team because he is dedicating much to MTG and is not taking time for the meetings. I would also like to introduce the new Member Duílio Marinho who has great experience in events, besides being a bachelor in law. I believe that soon we will have a new member, I will announce as soon as confirmed.

Good afternoon ! Congratulation for your efforts !  Smiley

Has anyone seen this message on the wallet?  I kept mine in an exchange until Bleu did what their doing.

"Warning: Unknown block versions being mined! It's possible unknown rules are in effect"

Thanks for the help! Smiley

Looks like you can just ignore this message.
That's related to upcoming SegWit. The fork block is 1,250,000.

Unfortunately, my tech knowledge is not enough to discuss it in detail.
Please ask a dev.

Also people asked me in a PM if a new dev provided identity to me.
Remember, that a new dev was asked to provide identity in public in this ANN thread to the whole community.
So you will definitely know, if dev's identity is provided.

Appreciate your assistance!  Smiley

Exchange aspect.

I see both sides.. (as i often do sigh)

Exchange has the coins... its starts to slip.  now costing them more to run the wallet than it makes them...

enter Delisting mode.   if you dont withdraw before x date (which is usually over a month away) then the coins are gone.

I see why...    its not cost effective.   customers choose not to remove coins.   (i think they should email everyone with even partial coin, that its going to be delisted etc)

Flip side.    its not REALLY gone.   its on their wallet.   why couldnt they just go into COLDstorage mode.

after 6months a customer that had 10k coins comes back and goes, hey were are my coins...   instead of... 'gone'  it would be, set your withdrawal, it takes longer for delisted coins. (and give a time frame even 30days!)
we turn on that wallet for maint once  a month...or whatever. (until empty)

they dont ever have to DeLete that wallet.dat.  jsut keep it backed up.

FLIP FLIP side.  its also about liability.   those COLD coins, if wallet gets corrupt, are they responsible for them?  they told you to remove them... etc.
how long are they liable?  6months? a yr?   and so on.

or... all delisted coins are turned on ONCE a yr, to update/sync  have your withdrawals ready... Smiley

Update your wallets to 0.13.9 and don't keep your coins at exchanges!
The 0.13.9 wallet works great, no issues were reported with this version during several months.
If you don't want to sync a wallet (it takes only several hours though),
then use paper wallets. How to use paper wallets: it's quite simple, read the original post https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/moon-mooncoin-move-to-a-new-thread-1733963 for detailed instructions.

If Bleutrade delists Mooncoin, you will lose all your coins at this exchange, if you don't withdraw them before they remove their wallets.
I don't know why exchanges do that in this way. The Mooncoin community discusses whether it's legal to burn their own coins, returned to a dev,
while exchanges feel like it's okay just to take all Mooncoins, which belong to their customers, who were late to withdraw them.
C-cex, now Bleutrade? Is it legal?
About the exchanges and burning of coin i agree 100%

its never a good idea to do exchange to exchange.

the ..   13.9 wallet works fine. (last week i updated lol)

*Standard disclaimer below*
and dont ever leave alot on an exchange, use your own wallets etc.

Thanks I will use it.

I would send 5M or 10M to a dev fund for Mooncoin if it would help create some use cases for the coin and some awareness. We would need a consistent effort.

Another important feature of this forum is transparency.
This thread is not self-moderated which means that I'm not able to edit or delete your posts.
All posts are transparent. This forum is transparent.
If you communicate only at Bitcointalk, no one is able to post under your account's name and than falsely accuse you that you posted something somewhere else. Also people will not be able to edit your posts, to censor what you've said and then twist your words.
Bitcointalk posts are transparent, you can always show the proof that you've said something or someone else said something.
That's why for open source transparent crypto projects it's a golden standard that devs and supporters have accounts at Bitcointalk and transparently post at Bitcointalk.

Privacy and transparency are different things.
Bitcoin is transparent (block explorers show all transactions and it's impossible to hide any move of funds), Bitcoin is private to an extent though.
Bitcointalk forum is transparent, and it is private to an extent. It's a normal model.
If you are a supporter, you can choose to stay private or not, it's your right. But if you are one who compiles wallets, it's normal to know a dev.
Because in the theory one who compiles .exe files is able to implement malware, backdoor etc.
That's why Mooncoin devs barrysty1e and Vassilis_Dev provided their identity to the community before.

I'm absolutely not against new initiatives.
Edit: if the community agrees that these initiatives are good.

But why communicate only at closed and moderated channels (Discord, Telegram)? They are okay - they are adjusted for mobile communicating, probably for introducing Mooncoin to newcomers,
but for serious discussions and TRANSPARENCY Bitcointalk is definitely preferable. Serious crypto investors read Bitcointalk for investment ideas.
If you are a part of new Mooncoin team, register a Bitcointalk account and I can add your account's name to the OP.
At Bitcointalk you can stay private, or not, it's your choice. Only a dev who makes .exe files and controls Mooncoin's Github must provide identity to the community for reasons, that were posted above.
