I would learn such courses. This is more interesting than what they teach in my college. Moreover, such a promising technology and knowledge of it will always be useful.
Surely having blockchain as part of our educational course will be a very big help to open the minds of the people about the true value of blockchain and to finally discover that bitcoin and the rest of the cryptos are not a scam. This will be very useful to prepare us to be competitive too with the fast technology that keeps on arising every year.

I wouldn't mind if in my time at the university or high school, began to teach the blockchain technology as a compulsory subject. But it's very important that the teacher is able to interest the children or students in this subject. In this case, the chances of increasing the fact that in the future a large number of people will correctly use and understand the technology. So in my opinion, the Filipinos are lucky.

I think education is good idea so many people learn about Cryptocurrency not only in the Philippines but also to some country that developing their country. More knowledge and learning about crypto will be good for every body so we can face anything will happen in crypto and also they can manage what they have in crypto.
I agree with you that it is better to have education so that it is clear that everything is not only known because on the internet. And of course when there is education everything is easily obtained easily without looking at various sources. like this that must be copied by other countries to make it easier for someone to explore crypto.

this is very good for the development of blockchain in the country. with the government supporting it, of course formal education will accelerate people's knowledge of the blockchain, so they can develop it

Well corrupt politicians will not allow this because of block chain technology that can provide transparency in every transactions and they could no longer make some money from it. These politicians make laws and everything.that hinders from their corruption business will not be approve.

I am also from the Philippines but think of it about the FOI law or the Freedom of Information does it working well? No, because their corruption will get compromised.

Yeah, it's true. I hope many countries will try to implement this idea because I believe that in the future. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology will be part of our lives. It's better to implement this so that most of the people have an idea about this technology.

I think just organizing conferences to enlighten people about the blockchain in Philippine might not be able to help so much, I think the best thing to do is to startup a blockchain academy for Philippines were they come and learn about the blockchain to its fullest, you can do it like udemy academy and issue certificate to students who would be able to pass the exams and graduate from the blockchain schools, I believe this way is more effective and it would help create more awareness about crypto than just hosting seminars.

I think its a long shot, formal education means incorporating in the school system.
But on the business level, companies should consider it for their internal operations.
Union Bank of the Philippines is currently developing a blockchain technology to advance their internal operation.

I think the Government, together with the Academic Institutions, having realized the immense benefits and importance of Blockchain technology, should kickstart a nationwide consortium to formalize blockchain technology education in the Philippines. And also, it would have a big impact to the Filipino crypto community and once implemented even with just a few pilot Colleges and Universities, it could achieved milestones in blockchain tech know-how and adoption.

To be a good programmer one has to be exposed to different like minded programmers within one's environment. Bringing a formal education of blockchain to the society is a major step for the Filipino's community in these competitive world. The major concern of mine is that the individuals that will gain this experience should be positive enough in giving back to the society which they originated from by bringing in more exposure and uniqueness of blockchain to their communities.

I mean yeah technology is important to learn but there's no need to make it mandatory.
Education about blockchain tech definitely does not need to be mandatory.  There are lots of other things that kids/young adults should have to learn, like parenting skills, money management, health care, and other practical topics that would help them in everyday life.  Blockchain education might be an excellent elective course, but given that it's very new and hasn't been widely adopted, I don't see it as something everyone needs to learn about.
Good thing to be focused on rather than on choosing Blockchain related course but if its just optional then it isnt really that a bad idea.It might be new but building or gaining out
some knowledge towards it would really be an advantage for learners compared to those normal citizens who doesnt have much awareness on this tech's existence.

Just by seeing that the news is about Atene De Manila Univesity (ADMU) offering a blockchain related course as an elective shows that we are still far from seeing it be offered for the masses.
That's awesome, and it's at least a good start.  If Filipinos are using bitcoin/blockchain tech as much as I hear they are, it's great that something like this is being offered at the university level.  I hope it's a popular course.

The people of Phillippines are leading in the community of cryptos.
I think that in general we need more education about the blockchain technologies in every country around the world and by that I don't mean only coding education. Every people should know how this technology works and what are the benefits of it.
True. Since we are heading into a digital age so people should also know how to adopt its fast changing world. Education for blockchain technology could be a big help to prepare people how to use bitcoin properly and even some crypto coins that will surely be useful in the future.
formal education is the basic education needed before practice in the real world, namely the use of the blockchain itself. with formal education, of course people will learn correctly and sequentially about blockchain, so that it can be applied well later
There are so many website now where we can take knowledge and information about the blockchain, now blockchain is the mostly used wallet which has very good features and it can keep our investment safe for long term that no one can take it away, we only need to guide those who are in need to educate about it, blockchain has all security feature.

This is a positive step for the Philippines. Far too many people in the Philippines and Southeast Asia are unbanked, so by learning more about blockchain technology the people will have more say in their own and community's finances. For far too long the major financial institutions have ignored the needs of the world's poor. Also, kids should be taught to program to prepare them for the digital age.
