Blockchain development course program available for enrolment in different countries might be a great idea for the blockchain to be known worldwide. Making it very much available would make the blockchain community bigger and wider. The more people entering the blockchain technology community, the more great people and developers present.

Having such program in the Philippines is a good start for the country to inform the people of a great technology. This might produce great blockchain progremmers.

While venues for blockchain education are available in the Philippines, formal blockchain education offers from educational institutions would make the country be at par with global blockchain development.

That’s a great move and it can help many students to learn more about blockchain technology in the right way. This should not be only in the Philippines, this kind of education can also be done in some countries. If I could also time for this, I will enroll myself since there’s no things like this before, its great for the next generation.
Yes.This will really help millions of people especially those who are in stone age who would really find it hard to cope up with the fast changing technology we are facing right now,the blockchain.I think this should be realize not just in Philippines but all over the world so that we should be aware on proper usage of blockchain once it will be fully adopted by all governments.

Yes, there’s already a subject of blockchain technology in one university and I think, they really focused on learning how to adopt new technologies like this. Its a good process to learn more about blockchain and I think more interested students will enroll in this subject.

Very good for the progress of every country, especially developed countries, to always rise together with the countries that first developed blockchain technology, indeed this technology is very new in everyone's mind but the benefits provided are very good if managed very well, by therefore, I think all need blockchain education in each country to produce a mature and good generation with the effectiveness to further develop uses more than one step now, I am sure it will have a positive effect in the future so I strongly support such a mission.

I could add not only in Philippines, not only in blockchain. Kids everywhere need more formal education on tech, including blockchain, from 3-4th grade worldwide if they want to cope in this new world. Imagine tech in 10-15 years and remember what was 15 years back.

Formal like a course? Since CHED and TESDA was mentioned, Id rather choose to include it on TESDA courses list rather than implementing it as a regular subject in entry levels. But honestly there are lots of blockchain related meetups and seminars already that being held throughout Manila.

There is also a project (will not mentioned the name to not looks like Im promoting it) that always do regular blockchain summit in several universities here. I see them on top schools helding some blockchain related seminars. The purpose is to teach students the fundamentals of using blockchain technology (aside also from promoting the use of their coins).

I know some people who attend those. I didn't since they seem to be mor a platform for pre-selling some alts. If people got burned from investing in those I think it might even negatively affect the image of cryptos in the country.

Blockchain education like this is indeed one of education that indeed must be included in the curriculum at the university considering that along with the development of banking technology, cryptocurrencies have now begun to be used as a commodity for investment and even payment instruments. Therefore education in the university about blockchain and cryptocurrency is very much needed now so that all people can get to know this technology.

over the years cryptocurrencies will be one of the essential thing in the market and in the technology of blockchain and in the near future it will be used in many establishments therefore people must be aware for the used of blockchain and cryptocurrency.

There are probably courses already but they are indirectly related to bitcoin. Developers who know javascript, solidity, etc.. will be able to create dapps. Anyone learning about economics will probably have a bitcoin module, just not an entire course devoted to it

It is not only needed for Philippines, rather it is required for every developed country as well. Blockchain is still a very new technology and we don't yet have a formal education available around it. It should start from high school level because the students need to have a certain level of IQ to understand it properly.

What's the reason for this? I mean yeah technology is important to learn but there's no need to make it mandatory. Just like social media right now, or probably the internet. A lot of people know about it but they don't have to learn about TCP/IP and so on. I think blockchain education doesn't need to be formal unless we're talking about creating a new field of job in blockchain development.

This just goes to show how friendly are the institutions and the governments toward cryptocurrencies and the blockchain revolution. Seeing how many competitive developers and programmers are situated in the Philippines, I guess this is also a nice program to include for the government on their advanced tech-voc courses. It opens up a huge opportunity for people who are already in the field of programming and may also bring more profits for the government, too. Should this development accelerate its phase, I guess the Philippines will be an important blockchain hub in the near future.

I think education of what blockchain is and how it could help the whole world is needed globally.

Normally, blockchain is something that could change so many things and it would help the world immensely but people of the world are still blind to the benefits of blockchain. This is not a Philippines problem but this is a global problem.

We need to also fund something like blockchain school that helps everyone in the world learn bitcoin and crypto in general and also blockchain. That way we would have a foundation that will go around the world (or have people around the world) that is paid by the big crypto companies that tries to go around and teach people what blockchain is and what crypto currencies are and how it could help them. It would make so much difference in the world.

Philippines is one among the country that has got more number of cryptocurrency userbase, this will make the blockchain technology implemented on each and everything in the future. For the same rather than find the formal education keeping yourself updated through these online programs as mentioned in the article seems to be the wise decision. If one is waiting to get formal education his success gets postponed, it is our responsibility to learn as much with what is available.
with the increasing number of users of bitcoin, indeed it is indirectly an insistence on the government to take policies so that cryptocurrency can grow optimally in that country. and it is hoped that the people will prosper

Funny that the article mentions about UnionBank’s Blockchain Institute, because last week the bank says that they're going to released a crypto ATM, so it looks like Union Bank is really leading the way, specially for the banking sector in the country. I agree, that there should be a formal blockchain education, as this is the hottest technology globally. I will compare its infancy in the country similar to the IT sector in early to mid 90's in the Philippines, only a few universities offered Computer Science course until it break some grounds and more and more students enrolled and become good programmers (and hackers) in the country and abroad. And I'm sure in the beginning, this course is very expensive and only a few enthusiast can really enrolled to this Universities and Institute.

It will also help to reduce a lot of misconceptions around crypto because crypto is the first ever real life use case of blockchain. At least some people will stop calling it a ponzi scam of they educate themselves with this technology. It's the need of the hour!
I like your point of view, that was mostly people think here in the Philippines that Bitcoin is a part of ponzi scam. Before there's a bigtime scammer caught in authority last two years if not mistaken, that's I think the reason some people always thinking Bitcoin is a scam they didn't know the real value of blockchain.

Well, that is a piece of good news though, for me, if people here are fully knowledgeable enough on blockchain and crypto for sure it takes massive adoption.

Well, i think most of people's mindset about crypto is also like this, but sometimes crypto system also act like ponzi. Make people FOMO about one thing and then the demand will slowly going down. I think education just via online is enough, no need to be a department to solve problem like this. We don't have to force people to enter crypto market.

It's a good idea. Seeing the advantage of blockchain education for the country's economy then why not suggest it be included in the curriculum in college or in economic subjects and courses, this way, it will be formal and compulsory for every students to take in college or even in lower education. Philippines neighboring countries are already advancing in technologies and much more in blockchain technology so the Commission on Higher Education must give a thought on this.
