British humour is different, someone who understands the language and watches a lot of TV shows/Movies will get it. Being a non-native speaker, I find British humour quite funny. People don't really use that humour here, but then again its a rare thing for people to even use normal humour.

I held nominations in a pseudo scientific manner. Then I copy and pasted the names into the poll using a disorganized manner, still making spelling mistakes, including a couple of ineligibles and even listing a couple of people twice.

All to see who will get the coveted title of "most entertaining person on bitcointalk". I have left ample room for controversy, proof of my incompetence in making the poll, conspiracy, accusations and finger pointing.

But I am confident that:

1) It will be entertaining for most people. (As per internet dictionary definition - it is on the internet - I've supplied a picture of it - so it is true and correct)
2) The person chosen by the poll will be entertaining.
3) Some big egos will get hurt.
4) People will talk about it for some time.
5) Some people will complain for their own entertainment.
6) Some people will not be entertained.
7) Some people will still be confused

There are some pretty entertaining posters missing on that link. For me, it has to be the two biggest permabears ever: proudhon and kwukduck. Some theorize that they are the same person but I don't believe it, their posting style is distinct enough, unless he is trying to fool the public into being two separate people.

I don't think that's 100% relevant, because a lot of the top-ranked members aren't necessarily the most entertaining. Maybe my definition of the word is different than others, but as I've said there is a big difference between members who make informative posts and those who make entertaining ones. When I think of entertainment, I think of something evoking emotion or some sort of mental response--laughter, anger, disbelief, and the like. That's why TMAN's posts are entertaining, because he's a good writer and makes me chuckle. That's why the insane conspiracy theorists are entertaining.

I very much like posts made by some of the top members on Vod's site, but I just wouldn't go so far as to say they "entertain" me. Maybe I'm seeing things too black-and-white, I don't know.

Edit: Looks like Bruno is in the lead, and I think he's worthy of it. Most of his posts have a manic-insane quality that keeps me reading.
