All because they swing their groups through paid services in order to lower the threshold of distrust.

In most cases, this is even worse than bots. These are real people, but they are so uninitiated and inactive that you might think they are bots Grin

Yes this is quite through, it is also hard for the ICO managers to add bots and inactive members inside the telegrams group. Well, basically in order to gain some members, they make their telegram universal just like a tree branch where there is a main branch of group followed by a specific campaign group.

As I understand, the inactivity of participants in the Telegram groups and channels of many ICO projects is due to the fact that most of them are bounty hunters or airdroppers. In addition, thousands of fake subscribers, both real and bots, can be bought very cheaply, just ask Google for a search.
In any case, investing in ICO requires more thorough analysis than the assessment of the activity of the ICO telegram channel.

It's true because the telegram is also bought when you search on Google "how to buy a telegram member".
But it can also get results from airdrops that collect telegram to enter the group.

That is true, if you look at them they are only getting such high amount of members because they do not allow people to join or participate in their airdrops if you do not join their telegram group. Nobody should judge a project by the amount of members that they have on telegram because what matters in the end is the peole that are willing to invest in the coin.

Guys, be careful with your money and time. Many investor and bounty members look into the telegram group members before joining in ICO Project. Like by seeing 50K to 90K Members in a running ICO group, we make the decision to do bounty campaigns for them, and investors go to invest there. But almost 70% of members are fake, came from airdrop, bot, added without permission and so on. You will see some people keep praising that project, will hit, wow project, good admin and blah blah. They posted those fake praise because of bounty and airdrop. Everyone should more careful before investing in any project. What do you think about this matter? Share your thoughts.
You are right, investors and bounty campaign participants often pay attention to the number of subscribers in social networks, but this is not the main factor by which to judge the success of the project, but only one of the few.

This is really really true. there are a lot of telegram groups with mostly fake members. So you join a group thinking that the over a thousand members you are seeing are legit, but truth is they are fake or mostly bots. I recently found out that there are ways and people who 'sell' members to telegram groups that are interested. So don't get carried away always by the number of people you see as members of a group, it is very possible that they are fake.

This is normal. See if a ICO project is worth investing. We should also pay attention to the degree of discussion and communication in telegraph. If there are not many people communicating, this is a matter to be vigilant.

My friends had loss for these kind of people. He invested in a garbage project by listening some fake reviews. After that he is now really careful and i think we all need to take precautions to prevent loss.
I'm sorry for your friend but this is becoming very common there are many websites giving reviews about particular icos and it's very likely that those sites are accepting payments from the icos to give positive reviews about those projects so they can deceive people and attract investors and make money that way, so you can only trust yourself when it comes to investing never rely on the advice of someone else.

Not only fake members, they can just buy telegram group that already has members and just rename it. I really do not watch at the number of members, because it's not so big deal.

I am exprerienced about telegram and if you want to check, there is telegram stat service. Compare views with actual number of members, it should be like 10-15% for 24 hours. if we speak about chat, there is no sense to create chat for more than 5 k users, it looks artificial and all just spam

The things that I often encounter are bots, they are so many in the telegram group, and can even harm other members. My advice should not be to join a telegram group, because it will result in your telegram username, for example being invited without permission.

Well, I think this is very possible in the current market situation. Must do a thorough examination before investing in ICO. Now social networks like that can hired scissors members very easily

That is what is going on now. Most of them just force people to join their telegram channels so when investors join the channels they would think that there is a lot of people behind the project. The way that they get the most members is by doing airdrops and bounties and making it mandatory to join their telegram channel before you can participate.

Also, many telegram groups have a lot of members, but the online rate and activity is very limited. I think that's a scam to attract the community.

You have created an awareness that is very important and that will be very useful, not only now, but also in future investments or campaigns. I have seen telegram groups like that and at a point, it baffled me to see different praises coming from different members and it seems those doing it are almost the same set of people. The telegram group, as well as the channel has huge number of members. That is more reason lesser number of people contribute positively by asking questions that test the authenticity of the project. Investors and bounty participants just need to take to caution.

Indeed, I myself convinced that most of all participants do not belong to a specific project, they are not at all active or fake for the sake of increasing the number of accounts.

Those telegram groups with huge number of members seems to be not true. Half of them or even 3/4 of the members are bot. This is so sad, large community with fake people.

Personally, I, too, have been convinced of this problem many times, too many inactive and fake users. It is necessary to take this nuance into account when searching for ICO.

I have pointed that out a long time ago on the threads of people trying to sell Telegram members in the service section and to be honest I think they should get tagged because I believe this is cheating and be deceiving for investors in thinking something that is not true which is the size of the community involved in a certain project we all know that the size of community plays a big factor in any ICO.
