Some projects are just too shiity cheap. Recruiting fake telegram user to attracting investors. One really need to be careful of such unprofessional practices. I just wish investors could go through their website and check the team's KYC.

That was expected from the ICOs. Those, who can create fake website, whitepaper and team just to prove the investors that they are an actual ICO, can definitely also open up a Telegram community group filled with bots and their own users who will never respond in the group, If you find something suspicious like this, I suggest you abort the mission right then and there.

Yes there is high chance of that and it is just for the purpose of attracting the people and showing the power that they have huge crowd with them as a supporter but nothing like that is really true about it. I also see that many groups are having the quiz on the telegram and I literally see only 10-15 people getting engaged with the admin and thus it proves the fact rest of the people are not interested or only there for having the rewards of joining the telegrams.  So it is the question of concern whether they are trying to deceive people or investors in that way or its just the fake referrals that are being put forth.

Yes, I have seen a number of projects that wind up visitors and subscribers, also worked with such services, it's a matter of a couple of dollars, and you pay them hundreds of dollars.

This is very unprofessional; that why you see a group of 50k members; but when the want to vote for there coin only 500 people would vote.

I stopped checking for Telegram groups of the ICOs once I found out most of the members were either inactive or spamming the group messages which clearly indicates that there was something fishy about the Telegram groups.

This is sad to see. Not only will these inactive members will reduce the participation in the forums, they will even make the forum look inactive too.

I totally agree with you. This is not the new experience, but after the march, I have seen lots of ICO Project has a telegram group with lots of members! I thought they bought those members and most of the members are inactive there. I have seen a website, where telegram members are available to buy! I am not sure, but ICO owners may buy those members!

We need to be more careful here. Thank you for this awareness.

Guys, be careful with your money and time. Many investor and bounty members look into the telegram group members before joining in ICO Project. Like by seeing 50K to 90K Members in a running ICO group, we make the decision to do bounty campaigns for them, and investors go to invest there. But almost 70% of members are fake, came from airdrop, bot, added without permission and so on. You will see some people keep praising that project, will hit, wow project, good admin and blah blah. They posted those fake praise because of bounty and airdrop. Everyone should more careful before investing in any project. What do you think about this matter? Share your thoughts.
I don't think that this would be a problem as long as you won't give any personal informations to them because some are scammers or those who will personally message you just to ask for your private keys and as such. While when it comes on the numerous cases of people joining telegrams without any participation on the project, it is a normal thing nowadays that people checks one project telegram before joining their bounty.

Yes, they are majorly fake. Saw a project I dd the bounty, some perisstons started complaining that they do not know how they go there, The admin will say "maybe someone who knows you added you. This is just very a big mockery

I have noticed that too and it is fraudulent. It gives a false impression of the community supporting the project, and that is a key factor I use in assessing a project. I switched over to twitter, it is less with twitter and you can measure it against the activity on posts

They got many members on their telegram group but look on how few the active ones.

Remember one of the bounty, its just by joining the telegram channel.

This is very often I see on ICO group with members around 50,000 But message/day is only around 20-30, of course this is very suspicious compared to the real telegram group, only about 4000-8000 members are active in the chat. I think this is not entirely wrong from the ICO Team because they usually paid services to individuals or groups but of course it's not professional.

Everyone knows that most ICOs do offer some airdrop for telegram members and that is always going to mean that people who are not really interested Join. JUst judge as investor the face value of that.

It there are a lot of inactive members, the admin needs to take action regarding this immediately or else the forum will lose its image as an inactive one.

ICOs that don't attract these spammers and inflate their numbers include (of course) those that don't offer airdrops and bounties, but also those that offer non-crypto rewards. What I mean by that is when projects offer point rewards and whatnot, instead of amounts of tokens you get participation from legitimate supporters, not freeloaders.

It's true, they are even reports of ICOs adding fake telegram accounts in their group and posting messages themselves in the pretence of keeping the group active. But it's true that majority of the telegram groups are filled with fake accounts, multiple accounts by airdrop and bounty members.

Unfortunately, there are no laws against this fake ICO projects. Regulations must be strictly followed when ico project enters into the market. We need to be careful as the fake accounts on telegram might trap you by false praise.

I agree that it is very important to pay attention to the telegram channel.  I think a good sign, if in a telegram, admins are also team members and developers.  Then you can ask at any time.  When I was new to the bounty, I joined two campaigns, that did not have telegram chat, but only a news channel.  That was my fault.  These projects turned out to be a scam. Well, I only participated in the bounty, but did not invest in these projects.
