I think this is a stupid question. Even the most inexperienced trader knows that the most promising and reliable altcoins are the Altcoins from the top 20 list at Coinmarketcap.
The most proven today are projects that have been on the market for a very long time today and can be used by many people, as a rule, these projects simply do not cause questions, just buy BTC and ask nothing.
As for me, most trusted coins for today, except BTC and ETH, are - Dash, BNB, XLM, Waves, 0X and ROX

in my opinion altcoin is the most trusted and profitable for everyone, IGNIS is one of the best coins from the movement of the graph, I see the price of the ignis coin is often at the pump and many people get results after that.
The best altcoins to trust, I think it's Cardano and NEO. It is for these altcoins is a strong company and a lot of money.
These projects have set themselves specific goals to which they are going. Though small steps, but go.

Currently, I trust Cardano more than NEO. NEO is a good platform but it has got many drawbacks. It will take at least a couple of years for this altcoin to gain pretty much. ADA has got more chances to gain fast.

My choice would be Metamorph, that coins is rising significantly in the last few week, and until today, It does look to keep on climbing with a few dropping and up again.
I have seen the success of metamorph this month and it is gradually rising but it does not mean that it is a trusted coin, maybe it just pumps for a while and back at its usual price again. For me, Ethereum is still the most trusted coin aside from bitcoin, why ? because most of the altcoins they are running on ethereum blockchaim also publicized.
Some people might think that Bitcoin is the only useful coin out there, simply because of how it’s dominating over 50% of the market.
But I would say this is not fair because of 3 reasons:
1. Bitcoin is the worlds first cryptocurrencies and therefore, it has the “first mover’s” advantage.
2. All/most altcoins/cryptocurrencies are addressing different problems and use cases that Bitcoin doesn’t aim to solve.
3. The crypto market is a decentralized free market where no one has autonomous power. Bitcoin could drastically fall in price in an instant.
Crypto-projects are evaluated by market sentiments and the use cases the project is intending to solve.
I’m also not denying the existence of scams, and pump and dumps, and MLM coins, but the market will eventually filter these coins out.
But I would say this is not fair because of 3 reasons:

In my opinion the most trusted altcoins is in the top 100 because they reach that level because of the trust of the traders and investors.

The best and most trusted altcoin are LABH COIN, NXT and DOGECOIN, because these coins are very beneficial for those who trade in them, if you invest money in it you will get profits, when the price goes down you don't panic, you better wait until the price go up and after that just sell the coins that you have.

I think we have too many options to choose the most trusted profitable altcoin and I think each coin still compete to get that place. But so far, people choose the coins which on the top hundreds list for their trusted altcoin especially for the coin that can help them to make a profit. Besides that, I think the list will change in the future so the list will change too. And if we can choose the coin from the list, I guess we can always try to make a profit although it is difficult to do in now.

there are lots of altcoin in the market and we can not do study on all coins but i find ethereum, neo, icx, npxs good coins most trusted to invest. however i also like sia, ada and zlq coin for investment.

If you want a trusted you can choose in any top 10 coins on coinmarket they are in market for years and price keep increasing every year
