I stumbled into this article today: http://nicktasios.nl/posts/space-invaders-from-scratch-part-1.html

The motocoin game is coded in C++ and uses GLFW and GLEW. (and OpenGL)
I wonder if this guy would want to help update the game. Anyone want to contact him? (willoweb7? Smiley)

Wow, almost a coincidence that he is extremely interested in machine learning techniques and artificial intelligence.
We might actually have a chance here.

Edit: I just sent him a message. I'll see what he thinks.

Please, Let me know what did he answered to you? Can I have any contacts of him?
You can talk to him on linkedin.

We welcome moto community!
We are glad to present you the new landmark on the motocoin development.

Only 10% of the IT decisions penetration in the motocycle industry for the present time. We believe that the motocycle industry stands on the verge of explosive growth of IT decisions and we would like to lead this growth.

We had a plan to create several large commercial projects in the field of moto services and crypto-currencies.
First, we wanted to make a new token, but then our consultants showed us MOTOcoin and we decided to work with this coin. Until the end of June we will present a new white paper. We also studied the old and new thread and know all the problems that are in the motocoin. As far as we understand the good moto bot is now in the same hands and the community is not available for mining. We will also solve this problem and simplify it for the user as much as possible. We have a full team of specialists: Programmers, community manager, marketer and a good consultant in the field of crypto-currency.
We are now glad to present you new website , roadmap and OSX wallet (only storage, receiving / withdrawal).

Soon, we will also publish new white paper with project details.

[center]Launch date: 20 May 2014, 20:00 UTC[/center]

[left]Motocoin is a cryptocurrency utilizing an innovative proof-of-play scheme where coins can only be mined by cognitive workload - playing a 2D motorbike simulation game, which is different from Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies that use a proof-of-work scheme where miners must perform difficult computations and then use proof of that work to secure coin transactions and get their reward. Motocoin has been dominated by bots but now a fast, publicly available bot has been released, giving everyone a fair chance at mining.[/left]

[center][size=25pt][b][color=navy]Network Parameters[/color][/b][/size]
[left]
[list]
[li]Blocks are generated on average every 60 seconds.[/li]
[li]The reward for solving a block starts at 20 motocoins, which is halved every 1'000'000 blocks (about two years) and stops decreasing at 0.4 motocoins per block.[/li]
[li]Mining difficulty is adjusted every 2000 blocks through lowering the target time if blocks took less than an average of 60 seconds to generate, or raising the target time if blocks took longer than that.[/li]
[li]≈40 million coins are to be generated during the first 12 years and ≈200,000 coins per year after.[/li]
[li]450K premine (was partially used for rewards, the rest was sold in panic during the early days of Motocoin).[/li]

Okay, I just discovered Motocoin a few weeks ago, and I'm not even concerned about the game (or the bot, if I do it that way) yet; I'm stuck on the wallet! The wallet won't even start synchronizing with the network! The .dat file for the blockchain doesn't grow, the block count is stuck at zero, and the log file keeps trying to connect to these node IP addresses and it says it can't find any of them, they haven't been seen in x amount of days; it's like it's a dead-node empty blockchain or something.

Did you try this?

Blockchain Download - created on the 15th of December 2017
Download the bootstrap.dat file here then proceed with the following instructions:

Now browse to the appropriate location for your OS:

For Windows users
Open explorer, and type into the address bar:

%APPDATA%\Motocoin

For OSX users
Open the Finder by pressing [shift] + [cmd] + [g] and then enter:

~/Library/Application Support/Motocoin/

For Linux users
The directory is hidden in your User folder. Go to:

~/.motocoin/

Copy the bootstrap.dat file to this folder.

Now (re)start motocoin-qt and if everything worked, you will see "Importing blocks from disk..." in the bottom left corner of the wallet.
The Motocoin client will then sync to the date the bootstrap.dat file was created, which was the 15th of December 2017.
Then the client will use the peers to sync to the latest block.

And also this:

This is what I have (I think most IPs don't work)
Code:
addnode=37.153.97.65
addnode=95.69.230.172:13107
addnode=162.255.117.105:64344
addnode=144.76.236.8:44487
addnode=93.88.74.40:13107
addnode=79.104.212.83:13107
addnode=89.223.25.234:13107
addnode=138.201.249.19:13107
addnode=91.78.42.22:13107
addnode=95.28.221.245:13107
addnode=176.15.199.186:13107
edit: I just tested this and I have 5 connections!

Also, here are instructions on how to add nodes: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13900502
Make sure to use these IPs (in this post right here) when following the instructions. Smiley

EDIT:
These ones are from Cryptopia so add these to the list:
Code:
addnode=138.201.249.19:13107
addnode=89.223.25.234:13107
addnode=213.246.42.151:13107
addnode=5.101.117.12:13107
addnode=5.45.115.146:13107

Motocoin does sound like a bit of a complicated coin. I won't play it, but investing in him may be a good choice.

My wallet is 100% synchronized more like I do to play? ... Huh
You have to click the Play button in the mining tab.
Does it launch the game?

You need to get to the coin before the bot gets to it first, which is quite hard.
You have ~1 minute to find a way to the end. This time depends on how long it take the bot to find the coin.

Well, it turns out Motocoin is a very complicated project. In statements where miners have to perform difficult calculations and then use evidence that works to secure coin transactions and earn their rewards. Means this project is limited to someone's intelligence? For as far as I know, many people do not want to bother about a project or mining.

hello I wonder if the game still works I'm playing and nothing happens
Make sure you have fully synced. What do you mean nothing happens?
If you click play and nothing happens then there is a problem. I have the same problem but I solved it by opening the wallet in Windows 7 instead of Windows 10.

If instead you play the game but never get any coins, that is "normal", the bot is just better than humans... Wink
Yep. You have to win the game (get to the coin on the map) to get the block reward. And you must complete the level before someone else (the bot) does.
