FP1 is going to start in an hour. I think we will see a similar scenario in Free Practice to the one in Monza. Ferrari will seem really solid in these sessions once again. However I'm curious about what they will do in qualifying. The previous Singapore GP was really amazing for Ferrari drivers indeed. Leclerc got a pole as well.

But this time Verstappen should be well-prepared for the whole weekend. As long as Red Bull don't make any mistake I expect Verstappen to take pole position already. Verstappen will probably win the race as well unlike the poor performance in the previous race here.

I hope Ferrari can have at least one driver on podium once again. The car is good enough to be on podium. They just need to make the right calls as much as possible.

Ferrari has always struggled to find a good link between its strategy and its drivers. Sometimes strategic teams make blunders which affect the performance of Ferrari drivers. When Ferrari finds solid ground in a race, sometimes they make blunders which make their performance inconsistent and disappoint the fans. Hopefully the Ferrari team doesn't make blunders in this race like they usually do in previous races because I expect a good performance from this team.

The track was good enough with many overtaking points as it is a really long one kinda like SPA in Belgium when it comes to the track being a long one,so if they have shortened up to favor a more straight line may be will be better for the race and us fans.In Europe time the race is on evening and I put a note on my Todoist app so I don't forget (not that I need to put a note to recall that there is a F1 race,I never miss one) and hopefully the bullshit action of Sainz in Monza won't be repeated, that radio message "guys let's bring this home" stopped the real fight despite Leclerc trying.

Actually I don't really know if it will be longer os shorter.

For sure they removed some turns I saw a video comparison on YouTube from the Formula 1 videogame.

Whatever the case, the track is great as it was and even if they have made changes, shorter or longer the track I am sure it will still have great overtaking points but unlike Monza you cannot setup your car like Ferrari did in Monza by punting all on the top speed and it paid off for them because the track of Monza is straight 65-70% run in full throttle while in Singapore you cannot do that as the track has a lot of turns so I doubt Ferrari will be able to repeat the success that they had in Monza.

Hopefully in here there will be no need for radio messages anymore,I am still very pissed at that radio message and it has been almost two weeks,I simply cannot forget such drivers, they deserve the worse, you fight in the track and not through radio messages.

Ferrari surprised us by having a clean race weekend in Monza. But I'm not confident of them to continue being consistent in Singapore as well. Because we have seen strategical mistakes or long pits very often so far. On the other hand I remember how the last race in Singapore went for them. It was a really great one for Ferrari by having both drivers on podium.  Smiley  Verstappen's having big issues was also a big help in this of course. Leclerc was even nearly winning the race if he didn't make a mistake while trying to overtake Perez.

I hope Ferrari can have at least one driver on podium once again. The car is good enough to be on podium. They just need to make the right calls as much as possible.

^  Yup and I'm pretty sure the sports betting sites are also pretty sure that Verstappen won't make any mistakes again.  Cheesy  They have him lined at 1.26 to win the race.

This race is a bit more risky with close walls but should be another easy win.

They are using a new layout for the track, it will be shorter with a longer straight, maybe more overtakes will be there.

Verstappen admitted that the Singapore GP was going to be really tough for Red Bull this week. The weather forecast for Singapore is still pointing to rain for the weekend. However I don't think Verstappen will get affected badly mentally by remembering the previous race on this track. He is one of the drivers with the strongest mental on the grid.  Smiley

I would like to remind you of one thing about the previous race here also. Red Bull had to call him inside while he was about to take pole position. It was due to a simple mistake like not putting enough fuel in his car.

I think this time they will be more careful about this and Verstappen will take pole.

Another interesting sight in this race is Pedrosa. This senior rider is extraordinary. KTM is very lucky to get this former Repsol Honda racer.
KTM also immediately extended Dani Pedrosa's contract as their test rider for the following seasons because KTM is very aware that Dani Pedrosa is a very experienced racer and also talented in developing motorbikes. So KTM didn't want to take a long time to make a decision when they saw that Dani Pedrosa's contract was at the end.
If KTM does not take the decision to extend the contract with Dani Pedrosa, the appropriate and appropriate sentence to say to them is stupid.

Dani Pedrosa did appear quite impressive in the race at the San Marino circuit, but Pedrosa received a warning after the Italian MotoGP race. The warning was due to problems with the tires used by Dani Pedrosa which were said to violate the rules. Regarding the rules that Pedrosa is considered to have violated, what do you think is his assessment?

On to the next race. The VR46 team will have an easy time at the Buddh International Circuit because in my opinion the track is very suitable for Marco Bezzecchi's racing style.

Wow, I was not expecting Pedrosa racing Shocked.

I didn't follow what was happening but I saw the race and he ended 4th, very close to the podium!

Pedrosa is a very good rider, but you have to admit that he already had a prototype bike and also because Misano is an official test track he knows this track better than anyone else, but still a very remarkable achievement that he can still physically keep up with the top.

KTM made a very good move when they got Pedrosa as a test rider, I don't think KTM would be where they are now without Pedrosa.

Even though Marco Bezzecchi had a very good chance of getting past Jorge Martín when Bezzecchi was able to get past Pecco Bagnaia. And yes, Marco Bezzecchi's mistake was going wide when overtaking Bagnaia. As if I couldn't believe it, I tried to wait in the highlights to see how Bezzecchi in that corner could go wide.
But I am satisfied with the performance of this VR46 rider on the San Marino circuit.
The VR46 team itself was also very satisfied with the results they achieved with their flagship rider Marco Bezzecchi even though they were only on the second podium. And the next race for MotoGP will be in India where there are still several complaints that need to be fixed before the race and hopefully there will also be quite a fierce battle for the front row, especially for riders at the top of the standings.

however, this good result did not make him intend to return to the circuit, because he had retired and he had no intention at all. and moreover he enjoyed being wildcards more than permanent racer.
Dani Pedrosa is very aware that he is no longer young so his decision not to return as a regular racer for a team is quite wise. Because he is very comfortable enjoying his salary as a test rider and that doesn't make it a burden for him to continue to make KTM more competitive every season.

Anyway here's the schedule.  And honestly not too excited for this one.

I liked it Tongue
It's cool that the Singapore GP will have controversial news... very divergent opinions.
With the end of a sequence of curves in this last section, the lap became shorter and also faster. I believe that both teams and drivers also liked it because it considerably reduces the demands on tires and brakes.

Remembering that the changes were not just on the track.... in addition to the changes in the curves, a grandstand in the sector was also removed, to the sadness of the fans, I still don't understand exactly what they are going to do on that ground.... some type of work will be done erected?

We have entered a new race week in Formula 1 as well. This time we are going to watch Singapore GP. The last race here in 2022 was really like a nightmare for Verstappen. There was rain and Verstappen was able to finish only at the 7th position. Rain is expected again in Singapore this week so it can be a pretty interesting race.  Grin

Pretty sure Verstappen already learned his lesson on the last Singapore GP. He'd take things slow and get the necessary tires before unleashing the fury of his car. One of the reasons he placed badly on Singapore GP last year is because he didn't change tires soon enough, thinking that he can get a comfortable lead before going to the pits. Hopefully that won't happen especially now that rain is forecasted over Singapore.

@dothebeats I’m pretty sure that Max has learnt his lessons and currently he’s having a nearly perfect season hence I don’t expect him to repeat the same mistakes that he did last year. Lastly even with the rains predictions I yet feel that Max will comfortably win this race too but I’m also hoping that other drivers offer some fight at least otherwise this race too shall get boring to watch pretty quickly.

Can't wait for the Singapore GP and see how the drivers compete for P1. Plus, the weather which is predicted to rain will make this GP even more challenging for the drivers. Even though many people predict that Max will be in P1, we must not ignore other variables which could make Max fail to get that position.

By the way I don't follow MotoGP often but I wanted to watch Bagnaia's first race after the incident happened previously. Despite a bike ran over his leg he was still amazing in his next race. He finished on podium which really deserved to be appreciated in my opinion. He is a really ambitious rider.

Another 4th spot for Pedrosa today with a solid race.
What if his desire to compete has been reborn with these 2 good results?

I mean he beat his teammate and the official driver of the team in both days, he knows he can still compete to win.

Despite the age he showed that he has a true passion for Moto racing and I think most likely his passion has been reignited regarding such races. He just need a good bike and maybe it is the time he wins this so desired MotoGp Championship which he has never won unfortunately.Maybe if he is offered a good ride at Ducatti, one of the Ducatti teams he can perform even better and fight for the Championship.Let's see what he decides to do for the remaining part of the season and if he would be happy to be racing again here.

no one expected that pedrosa, who was a wild card, could have above average performance. pedrosa with his performance proves that ktm has a good motorbike and combined with his experience it will make him a competitive racer - in fact it almost took him to the podium.

however, this good result did not make him intend to return to the circuit, because he had retired and he had no intention at all. and moreover he enjoyed being wildcards more than permanent racer.
