But I can't deny that I liked Bottas' pairing with Lewis Hamilton.

You know, Bottas won the GP3 title with the Vasseur ART Grand Prix team in 2011. Maybe Bottas doesn't feel comfortable with Lewis Hamilton anymore that's why He will leave Mercedes where he has been together with Lewis Hamilton since 2017. Bottas's relationship with Vasseur is far better than Hamilton's, I'm sure Bottas will win some more titles with the help of Vasseur.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu went ahead of Jonathan Rea by winning a weekend race at Magny course, who was topped the world's superbike standings. Shocked
This reckless Turkish rider was struggling with the six-time champion Jonathan Rea from the beginning, but he won in 5.5 seconds due to his good performance in the last lap.
Very exciting & furious race..  Shocked

^Another very boring track, some stuff made it a bit more entertaining but the result was as boring as expected. When you get the first position either at pole or if you are second and get it at the start of the race, then it is nearly impossible for a car to pass the other one, the required speed difference is closer to 2 seconds and at the top cars that is usually not very possible. I have to say that these tracks like here, Spain, Monaco and few others that have very low chance of overtake makes races a lot more boring.

I love the strategy part of it, the selection of tires, the pit stop mathematics and all that but at the same time we are talking about racing itself and there was rarely any, at the lower ranks there were some, Perez had a great race considering how horrible it looked for him at the start, but aside from that I would say it wasn't good at all at the top level.

Breaking news,Valteri Bottas to join Alfa Romeo next year and it is official.I guess now we will see George Russell at Mercedes which will make a really good team for next year,Hamilton will not have anymore a wing man but rather a true contender to fight with.Things are looking good now for F1 in the upcoming year.Let's hope it adds even more competition to the one we are already seeing during this year.I saw this just a few seconds before in the official F1 Instagram page.

I am very excited to see Bottas reunite with his previous boss Frédéric Vasseur. Since this is the next season we are going to see this reunion, I am very excited for the next season.
But I can't deny that I liked Bottas' pairing with Lewis Hamilton.
Whatever happens, is for the better, hopefully, Bottas will do very well with Alfa Romeo.

@DIA7, I completely forgot that we will have sprint race in Monza. Well, I think that Monza is perfect track for such sprint race, same like Silverstone.

Announcement about Bottas to Alfa Romeo was only matter of time and now we have to wait for second part of it - Russel to Mercedes. Now it's simply inevitable Smiley.
Tears in Mercedes was't easy for Bottas, but he achieved some good results there while being Lewis wingman. It won't be  easy for him in Alfa too, I don't expect that they will have very competetive car. It's sad to Kimi retires - imagine two Finn drivers in same team - it would be interesting duo Cheesy.

A surprise in MotoGP, the 3 times vice world champion Dovizioso returns from the San Marino Grand Prix and will replace Morbidelli at Petronas Yamaha, in addition he will get a one-year contract for 2022, am curious how well he can handle the Yamaha, should be a big difference to the Ducati?

Great win for Max today and a well deserved one as the fans deserved this win too. I was surprised that they came with a live performer to sing the Nederlands anthem and it was a great move by Liberty Media and maybe some other countries will take notice.

I do wonder what will happen with Vettel as rumors are getting stronger about him have some arguments with Lauren Stroll.

I liked the sights too. A great sporting event,,, welcoming after more than 30 years the F1 back to Netherlands and as I was suspecting several days ago, the sure bet to make to get local army support behind their driver. It was a great way to wipe off the bad memories from next door neighbor Belgium for sure  Roll Eyes

Have also just read that Bottas to Alfa Romeo now officially changes, I look forward to Russell in the Mercedes, from next year Hamilton must fight harder to remain the number 1 at Mercedes. Russell will certainly not be an easy opponent in the Mercedes team after a period of acclimatization.

Very good race yesterday from Verstappen, now he has also taken the lead in the world championship again.

We watched a good race in the Dutch GP yesterday. We already knew that overtaking was hard on a track like this as it is not very wide. However, we still saw a great competition between the drivers. Verstappen had a really good start and maintained his position from the start to the end (excluding Bottas' lead as he didn't pit then). Whenever Hamilton pitted, Red Bull also wasn't slow to react to it and Verstappen pitted right after him. This strategy helped Verstappen maintain his lead a lot. And the last moments were really interesting.  Grin  Bottas pitted but it was not wanted from him to have the fastest lap. However, he didn't listen and got the fastest lap. But right after that, Mercedes called Hamilton to pit and he took the fastest lap back from Bottas with a really huge lap.

not the most exciting race this season, but still, better than Belgium GP Cheesy. Well deserved Verstappen win at home track. Orange army made amazing atmosphere there. All drivers outside Top 3 where lapped by race winner - what a dominance.
Poor Bottas, Mercedes didn't even let him to make fastest lap.

Yes, not a hugely exciting race, but it is really good to see a home race for a championship contender. It would be a shame if Max won the title without having a home GP to win in... he did really well to cope with the immense pressure, and is a deserved winner. Great atmosphere, yes.

Bottas trying to get fastest lap is a bit unprofessional. Of course Mercedes need Hamilton to get it if possible to continue his challenge for the drivers championship. It makes no difference to constructors whether Bottas or Hamilton gets it, but every bit helps in the drivers battle. A rare instance of unprofessional behaviour from him, but understandable really that Bottas is desperate to prove himself given the contract situation.
yeah the track was tight for overtaking, only Sergio Perez managed to make a lot of overtakes as his car was much faster the others and of he didn't get that lock in the braking early in the race he would have not had to change tires and I think it was possible for him to make it to Sainz.
Anyway Monza next race which will include a sprint race qualifiers in it.
Ferrari needs to get atleast a podium there, a win will be near impossible as their car still not near the speed of The Mercs and Redbull.
Alonso going to gaina lot of spots as he proven himself this season that he is good at the starting lap and he have two chances to gain spots this time.

The next week we finally have a real track, Monza will be back boys.
Ferrari is rumored to bring a first step of the 2022 engine and they are very happy about the presentational gain they had.

Still not clear if it is official or not since LeClerc got his car destroyed by Stroll as you may remember and if they change the engine they go over the limit and they will have a penalty.

Poor Bottas, Mercedes didn't even let him to make fastest lap. Great result for Perez - P8 after start from pitlane. 15th place for Kubica is good result, considering that he didn't raced in F1 for few years.
And despite that track is difficult to overtake, I still liked Zandvoor with these banked turns.
Now we're moving to Monza.

Actually yeah..  Alonso’s overtake at the first parts of the race, on the banked turn was cool.  He was there at the left side behind Ocon and some traffic then found some space going to the right side then accelerated and passed Ocon and prolly another car.  Not sure...

Edit:  I think the best bet for the race was Perez points finish.  That line should be a good 2.50.

Formula One has been rumored for some time that Aston Martin offered Fernando Alonso a contract. Did you hear anything about that?

Alonso and Alpine have also signed an F-1 partnership. However, Aston Martin has not yet extended his contract with current racing driver Sebastian Vettel. In Formula One, Toto Wolff says Mercedes AMG would be happy to work with Alex Albon next year if Red Bull releases him from their Formula-1 contract. But I think putting a 100% Red Bull driver in a Mercedes power unit would be a little different? I have a mixed feeling about it, what do you think?  Undecided

This race won the award as the most boring race in the last decade and the award for the most boring track in the F1 calendar.
I got it, the hype to race at Verstappen home but man this track is awful.

The most interesting thing happened in the last 3 laps when Bottas stole the fastest lap from Hamilton and match Mercedes to change the tires for Hamilton to retake it.

Image if something bad happened in that pit stop.

^  Yup..  The race is uneventful and very boring tbh.  I stopped watching around lap 63 and started watching UFC replays.  Lol.  The Belgian GP would’ve been the fun one as the track allows more overtaking than the average number per race.

Italy next weekend.  Let’s hope for a more exciting race.  Cheesy

Yeah it was indeed a very boring race to watch as we did not see any real overtaking in the first few positions. We only saw verstappen overtake bottas but that was also a pretty easy one because bottas already had very old tires that did not have much grip anymore. The most exciting things that happened were the pit stops of verstappen and hamilton, but both pit crews did not many mistakes.
Also it seems like the fight between the 2 Haas rookies is slowly but surely escalating.

I thought this track to be entertaining but it was the complete opposite. The only funny thing was Lewis Hamilton talking about Max getting lucky to get first from the pit.It is really fun when you listen to Hamilton complaining,a Champion like him should have pushed harder and not complaining about the traffic.I am happy for Max that he won the Dutch GP,probably but I am not sure if he is the first Dutch driver to win his home GP in Formula 1.
