As for Hobbit 2, it ended up being long, boring and deprived of any interesting story. Ah, well.

No surprise there then.

None whatsoever. It's like Peter Jackson realizes that whatever he does, LOTR fans will eat this crap up.

His old style and storytelling abilities went out the window.

I'd love to see him make a low budget gory horror film.

Wasn't Peter Jackson's first couple of films low budget horrors?

Yup, exactly. If you haven't seen it yet, check out Braindead to see what I mean... It's a lot of fun.

Gravity was definitely great, though I thought most of it was due to its technical excellence. I'm curious to see if it'll hold up on a smaller screen on Blu Ray. It was definitely meant to be an experience.

Watching Fast Five as we speak!

Last 3 movies I've seen were: Gravity, Prisoners and Riddick. First 2 were great, last one sucked.

I need more comedies. I mean actual comedy, not just the usual hollywood formula of humor.

BioDome and Supertroopers are my two favorite comedies.

BioDome is one of my favs too! I actually bumped into Pauly Shore once and he looked at me funny when I told him that BioDome was the shit.

Have you seen Baseketball? It's another favorite around my parts!

OMG I haven't watched that in years. Downloading now.

For ultimate crime comedies that are truly witty...Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.  Hot Fuzz is also hilarious.

I'd check those out, you'll be laughing and in awe at the same time.

You really like Guy Ritchie don't you? My favorite from him is RockNRolla.

haha, Pollack's part was funny but I loved it when they were like, "in ENGLISH, please" to del Toro's character.

Benicio is in at least one other movie I put in my first post, Snatch.  He's such a versatile actor.

There's an earlier scene where Benico's character gets arrested and he says what the fuck in a funny voice and the first time I watched it me and my mates were pissing ourselves laughing. Rewound it several times and laughed time after time. I need to watch it again.

"What da fawk!"

Yeah, he's been pretty good over the years and it's been fun to revisit the roles he had gotten before "making it". More recently, I thought he did a pretty good job in Savages. The film definitely has its problems (I loved the book), but he was good in it.
