Anyone seen that Ex-Machina yet?

I want to check out Mad Max for sure in IMAX

I watched Ex-Machina last night. It's just ok. Not that much to it and kinda predictable.

I saw Jupiter Ascending today. I expected it to be worse than Ex-Machina, but to my surprise it was actually a bit better.

Can't wait for Mad Max! I love that series.

I'm gonna watch Chappie tonight or tomorrow. It kind of reminds me a little of Short Circuit from the previews. "Number 5, is ALIVE!" Cheesy

just watched chappie, it pretty good, but could have been better. its like ending is unfinished.

Wasn't bad. I thought it was pretty cool that Ninja and Yolandi from DIE ANTWOORD starred in it. It was funny how they taught Chappie to talk all gangsta.

I would recommend 'Birdman' (not for achievements)

I watched Birdman after all the rave reviews, but I wasn't that stoked on it.   The acting is really good, but I just wasn't that into it...

Horrible Bosses 2 : http://android-movies.com/en/movie/227159/Horrible+Bosses+2-2014
Comedy Movie that one of the characters (Jamie Foxx) mentions paying for burner phones with BTCitcoins.
Many people thought bitcoin would never be mentioned in a multi-million dollar movie in 2014, and it's comedy movie!

I just posted this in the 'Last movie you watched' thread, but since I highly recommend this series of (EPIC  Cheesy) porn flicks, I decided to post it here too.
Quote
Pirates is good, but Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge is better still. It's not often a sequel can compare to the original, never mind exceed it, but this one does. It's dirtier and more impressive than the first one. If you liked Pirates, you'll love Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge! BTW, you know how every porn movie has that 'porn music'? Not only is this series an original story (not a parody), but it even has original music (I believe) which makes it that much better. I dare say, it's EPIC... for porn, anyway.  Grin

Like I said in the other thread, these films are much more than your typical porn flicks, they're like 'B movies' with a lot of sex in them.

Birdman and Fury are odd movies to compare. One is a war/action movie, the other is a dramatic introspective (with some black comedy) of an aging actor trying to transition to Broadway, and in the end, his failure is his success. Both good, but different. One of the things that's interesting about Birdman is that the takes are very long, you'll almost never see a cut, and the ones there are fit in so well you'll likely miss them. The performances by Keaton and Norton are great, and the long takes really help pull you into the characters story and make you feel more connected. I don't want to get too deep into a review here and spoil it, but if you enjoy award winning films, you should not miss Birdman. If you want to see shit blow up and see heads get popped off, then watch Fury. I was amazed that Shia Lebeouf was able to redeem himself (in my eyes) after the the tragic roles he's played, but he did. I watched and liked both for what they are.

I was debating watching birdman, this thread saved bandwidth, thanks.

This thread came up for searching for yify on this site. So badly need decent reviews of unknown movies new there. The new format, for mobile at least, sucks.
