It's not about how one looks, BC has started something of a habit of playing real people lol. BC for the win.

On a serious note though, Emile Hirsch definitely looks the part.

You've got to look a little bit like the person you're meant to be playing. I've not really seen Cumberbatch in much. Only a few of his small parts.

Not a fan of Sherlock?

I've seen a few episodes of Sherlock myself and thought that it was alright. BC has been everywhere since starting Sherlock.

Sherlock the series is pretty good, but I don't think it is as good as all the hype.  I think ratings on IMDB had it in the top 5 shows of all time...I don't think so...

I agree that it's nowhere near the top 5 of all time. I always felt like IMDB was inflated when it came to TV shows.

He played Julian Assange in The Fifth Estate - I haven't seen it mind. He's playing Alan Turing in the upcoming film The Imitation Game.

I've not seen it. I've got it downloaded but it's not something I'm in a rush to see. I'll probably give The Fifth Estate a watch when I can and see how he is in that.

I can't. Who would Vince be and who would play DPR?

Seems the guy who played Bill from Bill and Ted is directing the documentary: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/alexwinter/deep-web-the-untold-story-of-bitcoin-and-the-silk

And Dennis Lehane the guy who wrote Shutter Island is writing the movie: http://www.imdb.com/news/ni56311898/

He'd feature somewhere. Obviously Benedict Cumberbatch would play DPR - he'll shift shapes, it's his type of role.

After seeing what DPR looks like, someone like Emile Hirsch would be more appropriate I think.

Benedict Cummberbund is too old. Hirsh could work.

Robert Pattison could too looking at that picture.

I think that a film should be made about BTC-E's Mr $102. Bitcoin-funded effort that ends up making an epic loss. Tickets could be 20 cents.

I'm guessing there will be a crypto documentary sooner than later.

Yeah, I wonder how long until Bitcoin is mentioned in a movie, all I know is that my crypto is on Benedict Cumberbatch being in the cast.

I think there was one already in the works and there was a thread here about it.

There's a couple of documentaries and a film in the works about Silk Road and Bitcoin. I wonder how they'll make the film work exactly?

Yeah, I heard about the Silk Road rights being optioned, but I have no clue. Would it follow DPR's quest in making Silk Road and his eventual demise? Who knows... It'd be an interesting story, though.

I can see them turning it into a crappy drama. They'll probably give DPR a conflicted love interest who finds out about his double life haha.

Starring Vince Vaughan...

Haha, with his Vince Vaughan face and his Vince Vaughan acting.

And his heartfelt Vince Vaughan reasoning and explanations. I can definitely see VV in that role.
