May I suggest Mr. Nobody?
It's a movie following the three possible lives of a man, with scientific and philosophical undertones. It's great.

I've recommended that film here a few times.

I think the thread is getting to be too long for people to read through, even if most posts are a line or two. Ah, well...

I watched Land of the Dead last night. Don't know why I continued after 10 minutes; the opening's by far the best part.

Yeah, was shit. So was Dawn of the Dead.

The remake. Thought Dawn was alright for what it was, but Land was crap. I haven't seen the original trilogy though or the recent remake.

The original Dawn of the Dead is an absolute classic. It's campy, but a lot of fun.

I even love its Italian "sequel": Fulci's Zombi 2... Tarantino's a huge fan and got everyone to watch it (especially for the real shark Vs. zombie scene) on the set of Inglorious Basterds.

2013 has been a great year for Hollywood films, but I'm sure these have all been posted already. Some less known stuff:

Dog Pound

Invasion of the Body Snatchers  (1978 version) - my personal favorite

Lost In Translation

Killing Them Softly

Training Day

Watched 12 years a slave today, sad movie, people can be worse than animals sometimes.

Some people are animals and that movie is a sensitive one but a good watch.
Animals either fight for survival or avoid confrontation. Humans are worse than that. Only human can rape or beat other person or an animal and have fun doing it. And only human can justify his actions by writing it down and calling law. No morality, no common sense or ethics, just law.

Bravery heart

Haha. I've never seen Bravery Heart. I heard it's pretty historically inaccurate though.

Real good movie where did you hear that it was inaccurate from?

Assuming you mean Braveheart  http://web.archive.org/web/20110615070116/http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/film/article6738785.ece

"Not only was the Scottish hero William Wallace gruesomely executed in 1305, having been captured by the English at Falkirk, but seven centuries later his memory was exhumed, smeared with blue face paint and mutilated by Mel Gibson. Wallace was not the poor villager the film depicts, but a landowner and minor knight. The litany of fibs extends from Wallace’s love interest (Queen Isabella would have been about two-years-old at the time) to his kilt – a garment not developed for another three centuries. The historian Sharon L. Krossa likens it to “a film about Colonial America showing the colonial men wearing 20th century business suits.”

Just watched The lost World: Jurassic Park... Was much better when I was a kid.

Yeah I have watched it now and I don't really enjoy it as much as when I was a kid but still a good movie.

I loved the first film as a kid, haven't seen the second one since I saw it at the cinema, and I don't think I've seen the third. I think there making a new one as well.

Yup, the third film is shit. They're developing somewhat of a "remake", but we'll see how it goes!

It will be bad if that's the case sequels are always bad but I think the original first one was the best out of them 2 and 3 were not as good.
