If you like horror movies i highly recommend THE CONJURING. The story is really cool and i guarantee you that you will shit your pants watching it Cheesy

Definitely a good throwback to the 70's classics! Haven't seen a better new horror movie in 2013 I think.

People go on about Ti West's films The House of the Devil and The Innkeepers being reminiscent of the great 70s/80s horror films, but I haven't seen either. He's got a new film The Sacrament out soon.

Since I watched Batman Returns the other day, I thought I'd give The Dark Knight Rises another spin.

And just like I initially thought when seeing it in theaters, The Dark Knight is a superior film in every aspect imaginable.

I thought Batman begins was pretty shit, The Dark Knight was fantastic, and TDKR was all right.

I'd switch Begins and Rises for myself... I thought Begins was pretty fun and a decent start to a new franchise. Rises just tried to up the ante from Dark Knight in every way and failed in most ways.

It just felt long and pointless.

Batman Begins just felt like another dumb action movie to me. There wasn't anything extraordinary about it at all, but I guess it set-up the story nicely for TDK.

I haven't watched a film in months as I've been busy with Bitcoin and posting on these forums haha. Got loads of stuff downloaded I want to watch, but will probably make a start on in the new year.

I'm actually happy to finally be done watching the pile of movies I felt obliged to go through! Now I can just watch stuff as I go along... No stockpiling for the time being.

Nest one I'm looking forward to is Wolf of Wall Street. The book was pretty insane and I've heard that the drug use in the film is second only to Scarface. Should be a good one, with Scorsese and DiCaprio re-teaming once more!

I'm looking forward to this too, it's just come to icefilms so i'll be having a watch over the next few days.

I downloaded the screener the other day. What's Icefilms?

If you're interested:

Someone else just asked me about this, I should work on commission. Damn, where's my referral link!

Kidding, it's all free.

IceFilms is an app that runs on XBMC and gives free HD movie streaming. It's like Netflix, but with every mainstream film you can think of and all free Smiley

I just finished watching Lethal Weapon 3. I hadn't seen it in a while and it still holds up... At least as 90s action flick!

I may be watching Last Vegas tonight as well.
Las Vegas is surely a good movie. I wish I have old buddy like that when I'm old

I agree. I had a fun time with it. Not a memorable film by any stretch of the imagination, but it's definitely fun... Makes me wish I still had childhood friends, though moving away kind of helped in assuring that I wouldn't keep any.

Ahhh Lethal Weapon, not seen those films in yonks. Miss the 90s, though I think that's a whole different topic of conversation.

Have you ever seen the film: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring? I remember watching the 4/5ths of it (I missed the very beginning) years ago on TV. I was captivated by it, would like to see that again.

I actually haven't seen it, though it's been on my radar for years. I've heard very good things.

As for the 90s... I miss the action movies. All you needed was a fun script with sharp dialogue, slap on a couple of fun action sequences and you had a movie. As simplistic as many of them were, they were still fun as Hell.

Makes me want to watch The Last Boyscout.
