Each wallet also has a subdirectory 'next' to it where the backups are stored. (This is described in the help in the 'File Descriptions' section).

Have a search of your drive of any files named  *.wallet and *.key

Generally unless you've deleted them by accident the files should be on your disk.

already did that, no luck, its also impossible for me to have deleted them (i literally never touch anything in appdata)

I think this is worth raising on the github issues database, which is here:
https://github.com/jim618/multibit/issues/157

Please give the details of your OS when you make a post thanks as it could be relating to file writing.

im having an issue, i had a wallet in multibit (1MKppkzStngDc1BMpuw4KE2R6J6z1QbCq4) and when i go to check today, none of my wallets are there, instead i have a new wallet, 1MQtqnSBKMEfucwVc5TMVvrK5UibDUFzWE, that is completely empty with no transactions, i went into my appdata roaming to see if i had another wallet file but the only ones were for 1mq, my 1mk address disappeared, but if i look it up on the blockchain, it still has my bitcoins, i just have no access to it for no reason

my os is windows 7

I assume you have a backup?
if i did would i be in here complaining?

MultiBit (0.5.17) has become super slow, and jawaw.exe it is using 30-50% of my CPU power.

I looked at the "Shutting down ..." status for minutes, then the status just disappeared but the programm is still running. The javaw.exe memory usage is oscillating around 300,000 k so obviously the program is still doing something.
Then I had to kill it with the taskmanager, which led to "Synchronising with the network" now.

Is this problem already documented? Can I do anything about it? Fixed in the next version?

But hey: Thanks! What a beautiful program.

Hi,

In the Download section on multibit.org, it says "Compatible with Mac OS X Intel 10.3-10.8."
Is Mavericks unsupported, or is this just an omission?

Even if there is "Compatible with Mac OS X Intel 10.3-10.8."it is working with Mavericks ! SO yes it is an omission

It's not safe to use the new fees yet, that's why it's not been dropped in any wallet. We have to wait for most of the network and miners to upgrade to 0.9 first and THEN we can switch. Patience! Smiley

Thanks. Cheers! Smiley

I'm surprised that nobody wondered about the new transaction fees. As most of you know, BTC tx fee has been reduced by ten fold recently but Multibit insists to make us pay the old high amount. Any way to change this other than wait for the HD version or an update? AFAIK, modifying property files won't cut it.

Will MultiBit HD at some future point in time support an online/offline cold storage setup like Electrum or Armory for offline-signing?

I really hope the next version of MultiBit will no longer use MtGox rates for USD conversion. It's very misleading.
You can change them, go to preferences.
Whoops. I never noticed. Thanks!

You were not alone who didn't know it is possible to change the rates.

Does anyone know why multibit would show a deposit transaction confirmed, but not update the balance? block chain shows correct balance of wallet but multibit is not showing correct balance. tried resetting transaction info to no avail Angry
