I used the 1.x versions with cgminer and bfgminer, and bfgminer was always a few hashes above. When I auto updated to 2.x my hashrate went to complete crap. The fix to that is to upgrade your bfgminer by letting the app itself download the latest version. I dont know why but this helped and I am back to my old hashrate.

Yes, MultiMiner 2.0 requires bfgminer 3.7 or higher. It is not compatible with earlier versions.

1. Please allow us to run custom coins with custom profitability assesments.

You can already add whatever coins you like. You do not have to pick one from the drop down when adding a configuration.

I am not sure what you mean by custom profitability - wouldn't that change all the time?

2. How does the perks function work? Since I am using pools to mine, how would it donate to you?

It uses the --quota argument in bfgminer so that 1% of your work goes towards one of my pools. No extra steps needed by you.

3. Since cgminer support was frozen on 3.7.2 lets keep that still in the app? I dont see a reason to get rid of it.

Because bfgminer and cgminer now use incompatible methods of listing available devices and I do not have the time or resources to keep MultiMiner compatible with both. Anyone is free to start contributing anytime. You can read more about the decision here:

@nwools and @everyone else. The drop in hashrate only affects the newer versions 2.xx.

EDIT : Fixed after friendly help of app author.
Seems that a slight misformat of the parameters caused the entire string to be ignored, effectively meaning there were no arguments.

I am having the same issue here : *EXTREMELY* slow performance mining various coins (all scrypt based so far).

Multiminer : 7kh/s
Guiminer/cgminer : 240+ kh/sec.

Very frustrating, since no setting (in the arguments field) seem to make any difference ..grrr... Embarrassed

GPU usage says 100% in afterburner, but temperature is at a svelt 32c indicating the card (7790, latest driver, no overclock) is barely stressed (usual temp : 60c).

Im just trying to start using this. been usinbg cgminer guiminer-scrypt for months with various rigs, all over 500khash, tried multiminer with bfgminer and only get 15khash per card, pitifully lower than on cgminer.

Go into Settings and then Advanced backend settings and under Arguments enter the Scrypt arguments you provided to cgminer for your card, such as thread-concurrency. These settings are specific to each card and will require some research. For my 7950s I use:

Code:
-I 20 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 24000

GPU mining with MultiMiner should perform no different than using bfgminer alone or (in theory) cgminer.

That's the same problem I have been having.  The only thing that I can find that's weird is a "T" argument at the end of the command string that Idk what It's for.  I really wish I could get it to work but just haven't had the time to dedicate a night to making something work when cgminer works fine.

You get 15Kh/s with bfgminer versus 500Kh/s with cgminer? If so please email me. I've asked several times for people to speak up if they get better scrypt performance with cgminer so that I can look into it.

The T argument just makes cgminer / bfgminer give text-only output.

Please add some sort of little display section on it on another tab for like total GH in use pool and like the status you get in bfgminer maybe a little window to help see if you have had Best share etc and detaisl for solo mining. I have been solo mining however when block is found or rejected it is not captured on the status.

More detailed output is planned. In the meantime if you are solo mining and want notifications on block found, you can enable that feature in the Configure Coins dialog. There are settings there: "Notify on block found" and "Notify on share found". Those can even go to your email or phone.

Are there any plans to extend the functionality of MobileMiner and the remote commands available? For eg it would be nice to be able to turn on/off strategies remotely and also do "Quick Switches" remotely.

There is yes. Just trying to figure out the best way to do it while keeping the API for MobileMiner both open and secure.

Version 2.2.1 of MultiMiner is now available. The changes are minor but it does include a fix for the HashBuster Micro when using bfgminer 3.8.1:

  • Fixed incompatibility with the HashBuster Micro and bfgminer 3.8.1
  • Full device name and pool name are now reported to MobileMiner
  • A maximum column width of 250px is now used to cap unnecessarily long device names (cough HashBuster cough)
  • MultiMiner will no longer relaunch mining processes when stand-alone miners using the Stratum Proxy are reported sick or subpar hash-rate (in practice this seldom helps and often hurts recovery)

Hi everyone,
I have the same problem since some days.
I have been minning for 3 or 5 days with out problems.
Suddenly I could not detect any device, and I could not fixe it.
The only way is reinstaling my driverst and my catalyst.
Any suggestion?Huh

Is their a way to nuke this in its path and fix the com problem ?

No simple way. The code is pretty straight forward and is trying to create a COM namespace.

If it's something you want to pursue please email me (address is in my sig) if you can set me up with remote access to the machine.

Tihnk I might just upgrade it to Windows 8 lol. Was on it befor but the only problem that was P"£$%ing me off was it was mapping my gpus the other way around lol.

You can work around it by downloading bfgminer yourself and unzipping it to the MultiMiner\Miners\bfgminer folder.

MultiMiner version 2.2 is now available for download including the following changes:

  • Clicking the Daily Income column will now toggle between USD and virtual currency
  • Added the ability to customize the visible columns in the main screen (right-click the headers to get started)
  • Added support for the HashBuster Micro (hashbuster.com)
  • Added the option to start the application minimized
  • Fan speed is now displayed for GPUs that report it
  • The latest coin prices are now fetched when the user invokes the Restart action (so that the action may be used as a way to manually re-check strategies)
  • Displaying API error notifications is now optional
  • API credentials entered into Settings are now trimmed (to assist users who copy & paste)
  • MultiMiner will now wait longer (four minutes instead of two) before relaunching an "under-performing" miner (to allow time for stand-alone miners - e.g. Rpi - to spin up)
  • Display the coin symbol along with the name when adding a new coin configuration
  • The selection in the main device list is no longer hidden (to aid in discoverability)
  • Fixed a null reference error with perks enabled with APIs (Coinbase) are unavailable
  • Fixed inconsistencies in the income values displayed after changing coins without saving
  • System tray icon was still using the v1 icon
