these setup might cost less or equal to airconditioning units but surely cost less in electric consumption..

these are just ideas that might work, if fans are not enough anymore

Did you think about water cooling of GPUs?

Some DIY kits are way less expensive than complete systems

Why do you need to buy the other CPU coolers? I use the Intel CPU cooler, they can cope with the heat.

there is something that i discovered when i hang washed clothes to dry in this mining room..it felt cooler LOL, i have another idea that can improve cooling..

if there is a way to use this evaporative cooling pads like this and utilize some industrial quality aquarium pump to pump water 24/7 from a stainless steel tank to these pads inside a room..

evaporative cooling pads look like these..

I'm thinking evaporative cooling pads can absorb dust and can accumulate dirt, maybe you can use copper tubing turned several times to cover area in a room and pump water to these tubes from a stainless steel tank (placed in a cooler are of a house, like a basement)

Do the new Intel CPU's come with heat sinks?

Also does the heat from the GPU effect the M.2 SSD?

Currently Newegg has $25 off $200 when you check out with Paypal using code PP2016BTS.

found the best low cost heatsink ever

easy peasy install 4 to 5 c better then the stock intel coolers.

Don't know if the ssd will suffer in its location.

but I ran it with the nanos  which were hotter. been running this mobo since april

I will check that promo out thanks.

280x aren't even close on power consumption to the 290 or 390. I'd be comfortable running 5 of those on one of my X1250s, perhaps 6 if undervolted and not pushed real hard.

X1250s are designed to run at high percentage of their capasity 24/7 - they're one of the best engineered PS on the market in an ATX form factor. I ran mine on a mix os SP20 and S5 units for MONTHS pulling over 1KW at the wall in a room that wasn't particularly cool, and the pair I used as "upgrade/replacement" A2 Mega Terminator PS are pushing 1240 and 1260 measured watts at the wall (so about 1110/1130ish watts vs 1250 rated capasity) with no issues for the last 4ish months.

The room those units are in is getting warm enough since Summer hit though I might have to back the miners off a step. 8-(

wow 5x 280x on a x-1250 and i'm running only 3x overclocked 280x here LOL ... i'll go with 4x 280x for now and measure the wattage.

i have a room here, door is always open so the whole room can suck air from the first floor (cooler area). only the window with the exhaust fan is open, the other are shut off, the other half of the room is divided by a wooden bed turned to sideways to cover height, bed covers are used above the bed (turned side way) to divide the room so the heat from the miners would not affect greatly the other half of the room.. more like this..

i have 2x 145w electric fan, the first is blowing air through the rigs and the second one is pointed out the window for exhaust..this setup made the room and my gpu's cooler "significantly"...

I got this on sale for 110 from newer:
It fits 4  rx 480's on the board.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138421&cm_re=biostar_z170-_-13-138-421-_-Product

It is once again, magically, on sale for $110.  I've been lamenting purchasing it since you've pointed it out.  Tonight, I finally bit and went to pull the trigger.  To my surprise, I see it's back down to $110 from $165.  Made my day!  If anyone else is on the fence, this may help decide.

I use this for the ssd

good value some overkill  but this style for your ssd is the way to go.

no wires repeat 0 wires fast etc

What do you mean no wires?
How do you connect SATA data port on mobo + power? Use some kind of adapter?
Sorry if it's something obvious, I never used one of these before Smiley

It is easy peasy bro.

there is a slot on the mobo.

here is a screen shot from newegg and I  pointed out the m2 style ssd location

For my XFX R9 390, with -100 mV undervoltage and ~1100/1200MHz, it will consume about 230W.

what MHs do you get from those settings?

2x 8gb sticks per mobo.

and I go for a better cpu this is good. please  note the T

https://www.amazon.com/Intel-Corp-BX80662I36100T-6100T-Processor/dp/B015XEXILK/ref=sr_1_1?

110 for the mobo
  65 for the ssd
105 for the psu
  70 for the ram
130 i3 6100t        the i5 6500t,  the i5 6600t ,the i7 6700t all good

470 for the pc setup

I like to use windows 7 pro  which make sure it is 64 bit.   this is a trouble free rig for me  10-15 days up time
then windows will sometimes force an update.  fair warning if you do use windows 7 pro on this board  the first updates need to be segmented in four or five parts of 40 updates as the first update is 200 parts.

and my garage is running 84f to 87f  with all the cards at good temps. 65c to 72c

this rig is really good for the rx 480. reference cards.

it was also good for the nanos  but you needed to crank fans ups a lot as the nanos run hotter.

390 is 270w in dual mining?

how many 390s can run full speed in a seasonic x-1250?

4 fairly comfortably, 3 with TONS of headroom.
That's similar power consumption to my R9 290s, and I'm running 2 rigs with 2 of them and an A10-7860K VERY comfortably on the X-850 - 660 watts at the wall or some such so only pushing about 600 watts actual consumption.

Rest of the system is eating close to 100 watts - if you build a 4-way system for efficiency should work out to more like 1050ish of the 1250 rating.

4x 390s even if i overclocked them all?

currently my seasonic x-1250 is powering only 3x 280x overclocked, i run 4pcs 280x last month though.. just playing it safe i revert it back to 3x 280x.. the opposite side (from the fan) of that PSU is really hot.

i guess phil you really hate risers, with those setup, they are only good for bringing problems

but with those temp you have there, it must be also cold there

84-87 f

these rx 480 cards are amazing  temps are 72c 68 c 68 c 65 c pulling 94mh at 540 watts
using a plat cosrsair ax760

i mix cards i have a rx 480 and a r9 390  running as I type they do 56mh and use 480 watts  the 390 is a power hog get 32h the 480 gets 24mh

default is a r9 390 + rx 480

rig 1 is 4 rx 480's 3 are sapphires one is a diamond.

rig 7 is two r9 390s'

that's impressive, it might be that the spacer you put there, help a lot, also the undervolting may be a factor for those low temp

Huh?
since finding a kill-a-watt for 240V is rare and an existing one which can operate at 110v-240v is expensive

i found a solution for me:

tools needed:
1) clamp amp meter with voltmeter or clamp amp meter and a voltmeter
2) extension outlet (live and neutral wires are separated)

i already have a clamp meter with a volt meter that looks like this.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/glennjv/clamp.jpg

ill measure amps and volts

ohms law say amps x volts = watts

If i'm not using my Powerplugs i do the same thing, if you do it right, it's mostly even more accurate Smiley.

speakinbg about good fan, there is the noctua industrial 14 cm, which is really good, it has 156 cfm, the temp are very cold with it

you can push it to 3k rpm, but it seems overkill for now, and it will be too loud

Question - I have 2x R9 390 on one 850W PSU

Is it safe to use it 24x7 with default GPU settings?

See above, VERY safe with a good quality power supply.
