I wholeheartedly want to thank everyone who took out there precious time to congratulate, encourage and advise me on this thread as I marked my 1000th post on bitcointalk platform.  I really appreciate your efforts and I for sure take cognizance of all your contributions as I see them as a stepping stone to more higher grounds and also a call for me to put more efforts to building up my skills to perfection. I really appreciate your efforts.
Once again thank you all.  I will be locking the thread.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
When I got my 5000th post, I also thought of making a thread like this, but didn't do it. Also I thought about it again when I reached my 6000th post, my 7000th post, my 8000th post. Also when I reached the 1000 activities, 1500 activities, and 2000 activities. I always thought of thinking about it when I reach certain milestone, but it wasn't necessary for me to make it because I know that there are some people who already achieved it, some got even higher, and yet they didn't create a thread like this.

1000 posts is very easy to achieve IMO. I've seen users here who have an average of 100 posts per week. They only need 10 weeks to achieve that more or less. Of course most of their posts are just one liners, and I'm not saying that my posts are at of high quality, but they aren't contributing that much to the topic.

Anyway, I guess you're just happy with your achievement that's why you created this thread, and I'm happy for you as well. I also thought that this is another way for you to get some merits as well, but don't get me wrong because there's already a thread that has been created where we can post our achievements here. You can just post it there instead of making a thread like this. Smiley Guess you need to lock this thread already?

Using Bitcoin is a hubby. Doing transaction with Bitcoin is fun. Bitcoin is now a way of life.
And I'd like to add that I've never given you a single merit since.  I had to check BPIP for that, so I spent more time in preparing to, and then writing this thread than you probably did patting yourself on the back.  Plus I don't sit on the board of bitcointalk.
Straight to the point!!.
You're kind of harsh to OP, but the quoted text that he posted made my day. Hubby here in our place means = husband, and I don't know in some countries. Bitcoin = Hubby Cheesy Thanks for quoting it. Smiley

Lastly, I will also use this medium to encourage new members joining bitcointalk platform to make it a priority by first reading through the forum policies and guidelines so as to be able to  make good contributions and know how the platform operates in other for them to be able to scale through without having any issues.

In this present world when everybody seems to be in haste, achieving 1000 posts is a big achievement. I have introduced some persons to Bitcoin and this forum but they see learning as a waste of time and they want to immediately gain without patience. That is why there is an increase in the rate of scams and get-rich-instantly businesses. I celebrate your patience and dedication that has brought you to this great milestone. To get to this level you have put in so much time and resources. I suggest you take the advice of some of the respondents in this thread because those words of wisdom will make your stay in the forum more fruitful and impactful. Thank you for the encouragement.

Congratulations @Cryptosafe
A lot of people will say different things but I think it takes a lot of skill and patience to post 1000 in such a short time. @CryptoSafe You should reach the peak of improvement in the future as day goes by and face more experience and tests. So I think achieving 1000 posts in a full member stream is quite an achievement. This milestone has not been achieved by many for almost more than a year. You go ahead and earn even bigger milestones in the future.

It's really that each person has a different target and when that target is achieved, they celebrate it. Op has already achieved the milestone of 1000 posts and that brings him a moment of joy. But I don't think there is a need to create a thread like this after touching such a milestone, if he achieves a new rank then it will be more acceptable to create a thread like this.
First of all the OP is a full member member and getting 1000 posts in a fast time as a full member member is an achievement for him. Maybe if we wish him good luck he will be more motivated and the next achievements will be much easier for him. Some of the full members of the forum have already completed 1000 posts but out of all he has shared his achievement with all members of the forum. We welcome his achievement.

I can even see that some of the merit source names you mention are not your Merit Fans, but I'm not sure why even if you say it's out of respect for them.
Uh, yeah.  Might as well say what I really think:  OP is posting about a milestone that plenty of shitposters have blown past in pursuit of whatever riches those bounties offer, and from reading the first line about him immediately being scared of breaking the rules....I'm betting this is an alt account of another one that got banned.

I also think all of those names were listed (in goddamn Twitter format) because they're mostly merit sources and are well-known in the Meta section and OP is trying to get some merits by creating another one of these let's-all-get-in-a-circle-and-jerk threads that, by this point, are starting to get under my skin.

I will appreciate if you reconsider and do a review on my posts once more  for evaluation.
I just un-ignored a bunch of sections and took a look at the first page of your post history.  Here's one of the first posts I came across (I snipped the quote you were replying to):

Doing business is a normal thing enterprises do but their interest is always paramount which we all know so they can go to any extent to protect it without thinking what it would cost them as long as they have a way to cover their shaddy deal that is ok for them. So manipulation of softwares at their own benefit to the detriment of their players is not a thing of worry to them as they find and derive pleasure in doing such. This makes me believe that games lost by bettors or gamblers are not just a lose game but a manipulative one from casinos as a result of their position in setting up the game for the player, manipulating game softwares and doing everything necessary to make sure they gain at all costs.
You're the kind of member whose English matters to me when I'm giving out merits.  It's one thing to not know the language but still make a reasonably coherent post that's constructive, and it's quite another to squat and squeeze out a bloated turd like the above.  That's horrible writing, not at all interesting, and I doubt other members would find it valuable in the least.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I see nothing wrong writing about your 1000th post we especially creating a thread for it. Although I know that if everyone starts creating threads like this, things might get messy here.
Well I would like to congratulate you for your swift achievement to reach 1000th post when so persons are still struggling to reach 500th post. You have really done well and I like your zeal to be a good writer so far. I hope to see you reaching your next level in this community as soon as possible.

Me mentioning you amongst the high ranked bitcointalk board members I salute here is no mistake.
I felt I should acknowledge you because of that as the response I got then steered me into action to doing much better. I put much efforts, time and being committed to building up to this level.
I don't think there's anything wrong with mentioning, but some users will think of it as your way of getting the attention of the users you mention, especially because they are merit source.

I can even see that some of the merit source names you mention are not your Merit Fans, but I'm not sure why even if you say it's out of respect for them. But anyway, some will definitely mention wanting to get merit from them instead of wanting to honor their contribution. I hope you are not offended because I don't mean you as one of them.

I'm going to withhold congratulations, as the act of making 1000 posts 1) isn't worth celebrating in and of itself, and 2) really doesn't merit a thread of its own.
Speaking of merit:

The following  board members I would salute for their encouragement; @The Cryptovator, @fillippone, @The Sceptical Chymist
Did I encourage you via PM?  I had to go way back into my outbox to find this:

Using Bitcoin is a hubby. Doing transaction with Bitcoin is fun. Bitcoin is now a way of life.
And I'd like to add that I've never given you a single merit since.  I had to check BPIP for that, so I spent more time in preparing to, and then writing this thread than you probably did patting yourself on the back.  Plus I don't sit on the board of bitcointalk.
'Cuz there ain't no board, y'ijit!!

The fact that I got that response from you steered me to doing more work on myself and I see it as an encouragement irrespective of how it came to me and the manner at which it came. I read your post too and it also gave me guidelines on how to go about my activities here. I  read topics, comments, replies from which I learnt alot from.  Me mentioning you amongst the high ranked bitcointalk board members I salute here is no mistake.

There's now a thread created by @BitcoinGirl.Club if the OP wants to celebrate a milestone achievement then do so in that thread.
Many people have passed this post, I know you are happy with the achievements for more than 1 year with 1000 posts, but better on the threads provided.

[1] Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great!
When I first started seeing threads like this pop up I was pretty annoyed as I knew there was a thread for things like this, but I think my POV has changed lately. When users achieve something they feel proud about, I think they deserve to get a little recognition.

It depends on the user as well. A bounty hunter with only POA posts need not make a thread like this.

Congrats on your achievement CryptSafe, maybe you'll stick around for 1000 more.

Completely agreed on this. The thread created for this kind of thread is not necessary that user should post in there and follow the OP of the thread since it’s not an official thread for things like things. Creating a thread dedicated for someone achievement is not a daily event that can cause spam in the reputation board. This thread will surely be flooded after few days.

Why not just give the man a spotlight for this moment. Having a thousand post in the forum only show how many hours dedicated here just to write the content.

Although 1000 posts is not a milestone we can still congratulate him.
It takes effort to make 1000 posts, and I think that's a milestone that anyone should probably celebrate for their consistent activity.

Some would say it's not milestone worth celebrating, but otherwise I feel it's worth celebrating especially if you're a user who has good quality posts. But anyway, I thought it would be great idea to post celebration like this in one of the provided thread, it will keep the reputation board main page views in order.

@CryptSafe, keep up the good work and congrats on your new milestone. 1000 posts doesn't mean much if they are just spam or useless, but you look different. Stay consistent, your journey in this forum is still too young and you still need to get some more new milestones in the coming years.

1000 posts is not all that of a milestone to create a thread for, i think celebrations of this sort should be reserved for actual milestones, if users begin to create threads for what they subjectively think is a milestone, it could really get messy out here.
Although 1000 posts is not a milestone we can still congratulate him. I think he really wanted to share this happiness with everyone when his profile shows 1000 posts.  Maybe the OP thought of 1000 posts as his milestone.  Waiting for OP's 1000 posts to turn into 1000 activities, hoping OP will then share the joy of 1000 activities with us.

Well for him it is, although there is already a dedicated thread for that once you recognize yourself as achieving a milestone you'll work hard for another milestone again like another 1000 within a year or ranking up.

So congratulations keep it up, have a beer, celebrate set up another goal to achieve that will fuel your motivation to post constructively and be a good member of this forum, you can lock this thread and comeback after a year and post what you achieve by then.

This is different from the usual new rank self congratulatory thread, I don’t think number of posts is something to be considered a milestone, it’s not the post count that matters it’s your overall performance regarding quality of your posts that really matters. If I had my post counts and merit on a even scale then I would consider making it a thing to celebrate but to each his own.

Congratulations, I thought it was 10,000 posts but 1000 posts is still a tough number. Grin
