Guys, be careful with your funds if they are on the Exchange Hotbit, they scammed the CashHand Project

1 received 12 787 CHND to exchange https://explorer.cashhand.info/transaction/deb889a8e16ba1b7081479cb580d474fecf123b439cc022543d280a80dae20af
2 did not make the exchange and did not return the coins for the project nor did they exchange it for its users
3 don't answer us anymore
4 excluded our CHND / USDT pair
5 excluded the group of telegrams where we maintained contact

watch out from Hotbit here is my experience, this happened today:
I sent some BNB to my hotbit BNB wallet, like a noob i sent it on the BSC chain, and not BNB chain.
I didn't realize that on spot, seeing my deposit taking a while while confirmed, i decided to message support.
Support says i sent it to the wrong chain. Sure, i say, can you send it back to me on the address i sent it to you?
Here is what they said : I have to prove to them with various screenshots which is okay, and i HAVE TO SEND THEM 0.2 ETH to an address zendesk sent me, and that my funds will be available from 3-6 Months from now.
This was just because i sent BNB on the BSC chain instead of BNB chain.

Use coinEX guys forget this Hotbit scammy exchange, they are just there around the corner to take your crypto hostage.

This was what the helpdesk sent me :
" Please read all following information carefully and wait patiently:
1. If any of your tokens was/were deposited mistakenly, please provide us with the following information: Your Hotbit account, the email address you registered with Hotbit,UID(the last few numbers of the invite link of your Hotbit account is your UID ) the type, address, amount, TXID(this is very important) of the token(s) you deposited by mistake, the screenshot that shows your deposit information.
2. In order to retrieve your mistakenly deposited tokens, we would have to conduct relevant operations such as extra installation or upgrade on the software of our wallet, the import and export of the private key and so on. Due to the fact that only those staff with very high authority are allowed to conduct relevant operations and that the whole process has to go through very strict risk control verification process, such operations require huge amount of time, labor cost and risk control cost. It might take three to six months to retrieve your assets. Please do be patient.
3. Due to the strict risk control verification process, you need to pay 0.2 ETH  to switch back the coins. The transerred address is 0x15F4a8BdDFAA31D61eEF90C2bA33F9E64C00e8EA and then send TXID to us so that we can check it for you. Attention please: Due to the strict risk control verification process, we can only send your assets back to your original sending address  later."

yes it has been fixed

I like the exchange except I have to email them about withdrawal fees that are too high on certain coins, and those are lowered within a couple days

Cannot log in this exchange today.  I gave correct credentials and icon drags and Google authenticator.  First it wasn't interactive at all, then it logged me out.

I'm getting the same.. Any ideas? Are you a U.S. user? Perhaps its related to that. No idea.

Things have been better.  Had an authenticator problem but it's better now.  Have done some withdraws.

What's going on with Hotbit

Withdrawal email verification codes are NOT being sent out (with any browser)

hence, no way to withdraw anything right now

no updates on their official twitter

Please Take care of this nice offer guys, seems suspicious for me. With a little nice story and some reasons to sell his BTC which is a big amount of money If you sell it. Don't engage in something with this guy, he is just making you take his bait.
OP, You can contact their support on what to do, If you are truthful and explain it to them how did you get those BTC.

Yup, another newbie that pretending to be scammed and trying to look pity. I have seen new threads made by newbies and the stories were all the same. Nice try.

While on the other hand, he has no proof to show, at least. Like the email sent or their conversation with the support.

Sorry to say OP, but no one here will buy your account and besides wha could we do to your account when the funds are frozen.

I read similar stories like this talking about the difficulties of withdrawing from a certain exchange or platform and then offering the same account with a certain amount of coin for a lower price as if putting it up for a big sale discount. I am not here to judge OP's intention but saying that one can have "0.53  for 0.20" that can be raising the red flag. Plus the account is a Newbie, definitely something wrong with the post. Though I would be happy to be wrong on this.
Let's put that aside and assume that OP has a real problem with hotbit. I tried to search official announcement thread of hotbit but I can't find them, maybe I missed something but if there is an announcement thread or hotbit official account here then OP should contact them as well to help this out from his problem.

Also, a little suggestion. We should be always aware of this kind of exchange, exchange that has been red flagged several times and no solution has been found for previous problems should be avoided.

I also used this exchange and i did not encounter any problem regarding deposit and withdrawal but only small amount. You just need to enable your 2fa authentication if you are not verified yet. The only thing i don't like in Hotbit, they are not true with the price,i think they manipulated the price so that every trader see that there are so much buyer ans seller on their exchange. But try to put an order near the sell and buy order then suddenly the trading will stop. Hotbit is not a good exchange.

This is the first time I heard this kind of problem but it looks like a scam.
Why input a statement that says you are also trying to sell that account? You are going to sell it at half price and give the problem to another person?
That is BS!!! Get away from this, the sound of is very fishy and this might just be another way of scamming people.

Tell us more information then maybe we could help. But as of now it aint really a problem but more like a scam.

That usually happens, I just completed verification by exchanging coinbit too, but it's just a matter of verification, after I sent them an email and asked directly, it turns out it's just a matter of verification. well for your problem, try contacting the customer service, and tell me your problem, surely they will help you ..

Hotbit is a scam exchange. Avoid using it at all costs. Many negativity reports about them. You can read more here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/you-can-lose-your-fund-cheaply-with-hotbit-exchange-dont-be-the-next-victim-5180648

Same like how this post looks scam, better put our money in know exchanges that have proper rules and regulations as well easy to contact support. We can put our investment in BNB or other trusted exchange and do KYC than to be scam, or if it's real that OP can't withdraw his money. It's beeter to research first before putting any amount in it.

The only best way for you to withdraw your funds is by contacting the exchange platform's support service for help. There is nothing anybody here can do to help you withdraw your bitcoin. We are not part of the technical team managing this exchange platform. You should have a little patient for their support service to reply your message...

I have no idea either you really face this problem or just trying to scam people by offering that account. Newbie accounts are always suspicious!
But I would suggest you to wait their response for your case. There are some people has reported that hotbit has fake volumes or wash trading but doesn't mean they will steal user's money. Try to raise your ticket again and again until they responds you, but don't spam it.

I am not sure if I would believe you trying to sell your account here. Or maybe you are not verified yet that's why you need some additional information for them to have a proof that that's the account you're trying to withdraw is really yours. Wait until they reply soon because once that it is really your account then there will be no hard time for you to encash it because you know private keys or any verifications.

Is there any evidence of images of frozen funds being held at Hotbit? I am suspicious of your offer, do you want to cheat us or is there an error in the existing account. so it's clearer to send evidence here.

Although I have not used Hotbit exchange but I never heard any withdrawal problem with that exchange. Most likely you may have some problem with your account. I also have doubt of you having proper conversation with their customer support as it seems English is not your first language and you are not properly able to express yourself. If possible try to find the exact reason from them and provide the formalities they need. I don't think they will stop you from withdrawing your funds.
